Haven’t seen anyone try this. But as soon as I saw the iOS release I had to give this a try. And it works perfectly. Buttons are easy to configure, and are quite responsive.

Controller is an 8bitDo Lite 2 used on an iPad Pro 11.

Just decided to put a some new songs up on the SP-1 and messing around with it. Decided to add a little drum loop and play with some acapella and stem action.

So I was working on this track. But when I played it back I noticed there was snaps and crackles. Certainly wasn’t part of the “Lofi” vibe I wanted.

Anyone know why?
I was going into the KO Sidekick then into my iPhone to record.

Here is the first of many songs that I hope to be releasing in a future project. This is a project I've been working on for over a year now. The overall feeling of the project will be lofi ambient spacey vibe.

I created this mainly as with the Teenage Engineering OP-XY as the main brain. But I put in other sounds and samples from others synths to fill it out. I used the TP-7 to play the Speech by Carl Sagan over top (which will not be on the final product), and manually worked the platter to stop and emphasize certain parts of the speech to work better with the music.

Let me know what you think of the music. And also, let me know what you feel about Carl Sagan's speech as well. It's a timeless speech, and the words still hold true to this day.

Picked up the Positive Grid Spark Go recently and wanted to see how it worked with the OP1, and wow this turned out great. So easy. And it just adds to the portability of it all. If you’ve never tried any PG products they are pretty good for the price and what they offer. The amp models aren’t too bad and definitely usable (more options for guitar but the bass ones are good enough).

I use a wireless setup from my bass to the spark and I’ve never had an issue.

This was my first go at it. But I’ll record more in the future of live playing.

Aside from the keyboard (I have a separate midi keyboard I usually use), is there a better synth for the price?
Adding on the zoom fx pedal makes it even better.

How about two SP-1s??

Ok, so for starters. These two songs don’t sync up exactly. But I was able to get them close enough for a few bars lol.
If it didn’t take an hour to load up songs then I’d grab a few songs that match.

Gonna plan out a better set and gonna have some real fun with these two now.

Made a beat just before this and decided to add some cuts. Bass it’s hard and the scratching was clean

I loaded up a bunch of Frank Ocean songs onto the Stem Player and found a vocal loop I liked. So I looped it up and made a beat with it.

I then broke on the wow and flutter turntable and added some scratching.

TE makes some really fun stuff.

Took a lot of messing around but I finally got them playing nicely. BLE MIDI was a PITA so just stayed with USB out from the op1 into the opxy. (With a splitter to charge both)
Was able to figure out best way to setup midi tracks on opxy to record sounds on the op1 using the opxy sequencer.
For whatever reason, I would have imagined these two playing better together. But as well.

Ok. Hooked this up to my phone for the first time (note: I tried a dual adaptor for power and data and it didn’t work so had to power through batteries, so if anyone found something that works let me know). But it worked like a charm after that.
Started playing with some FX on both and just was having a lot of fun with this thing. I wasn’t expecting too much from the sidekick, but it really is a powerful little device (more than just a mixer).
Oh and I connected them with Lego lol.

Had to try something a little different today. Broke out the Wow & Flutter portable turntable. putting these together was fun. Let me know what you think. It's been a while since I've done some scratching (especially to that BPM). I'm gonna keep working on it.

After reading your comments on yesterday's video, I decided to make a video of building out a song using only the original random presets.

This was definitely a process, but I feel I'm getting a bit more comfortable with this.

Still need to get more into some the other things this can do (FX, the Brain, etc.)

Bit right now I'm having a ton of fun. Anyone have any ideas how to make my workflow smoother, musicianship, or just anything overall on the video?

Just for the record, I wasn't wearing headphones and my speakers weren't very loud, something I'll have to change for sure, I think I missed a few things.
