I know the no. 8 is the popular choice around these parts, (I have a carbon and beech one myself) but I have to say, I feel for me and my smaller hands, the no. 7 fits better. Plus the blade is a pretty legally recognizable 3in. so as not to scare people.
This one is in stainless with maple (I think) handles. It has the newer revised unidirectional locking ring which I love. Veg tan leather sheath is a no name from glamazon with pocket worn patina.
This may very well be the sharpest knife I own.
My grandfather gave me this a long time ago. I believe it belonged to his father so that would make it 1920-30s era. Pretty cool piece of history. Can't tell the make or model sadly. Nice little knife
I usually carry two knives with me, one tactical folder, and a smaller knife. Well, my smaller knife (victorinox executive) broke the other day so while I wait for my new knife to arrive, a case peanut, I dug this out of my collection. It's definitely an interesting little thing. Slipjoint with integrated key ring hook, bottle opener, pry tool, and screwdriver

I've started to drink puerh tea British style... And I love it. The aged notes go so well with cream and sugar. I use European tea ratio (1tsp-250ml).
I know I know, it's a scourge on tradition, but... I like it
Ok that's it. Just wanted to share. Now let the discussion begin
Hello! So I had a thought for a good plot idea and was wondering if y'all have any recommendations like it?
Books about (preferably) college students, broke or not, entering medical/pharmaceutical trials for sketchy drugs or procedures.
Looking for either horror or thriller.
Thanks in advance!
Hello all! I would like to preface this question by saying I have carried mostly 3.5-4in folding tactical edc knives most of my life but have started to fall in love with more traditional knives. I own and have also carried a Buck 110/112 as well as a Case full size trapper from time to time. Both in angled cattleman style leather pancake sheaths. I have also pocket carried several of the small Victorinox models.
Now to my main question: what are your options between the peanut and the medium jackknife? I understand they are basically the same pattern with the jack being slightly larger. I also know the peanut has a cult following.
To help sway the discussion, I am only able to buy the peanut in the beautiful yellow delrin, which I have fallen in love with.
Thoughts, and thank you in advance.
I vastly prefer this setup to carrying a multitool. I believe a multitool is theoretically the most useful thing a person could carry, but I have always found them heavy, bulky, and uncomfortable to use most tools other than the pliers.
I have since replaced my multitool (Leatherman Wave) with this combo:
-victorinox sportsman (tinker with corkscrew and nail file instead of small blade) paired with...
-knipex 125. I carry it in my pocket in a falcon leather sheath from glamazon.
It carries lighter, thinner, and more comfortable than my wave.
(JMHO of course.)
Hello! I just recently procured a new SS pan after dabbling with them for a few years now. I mainly use cast iron but really want to go all in. With that, I have been babying this pan since I got it.
I have two questions for y'all:
1: what is the best sponge/scrubber you think for cleaning with hot and soapy water and...
2: is preheating the pan on medium heat too high and cause warping? (I have been preheating on med-low because of said babying)
There we are, all advice is welcome and have a great day
Look, I get it. It's fun to bag on Yeti. And I do, for most of their items. But the 20oz tumbler y'all... This has gotten me through almost 6 years of service. Coffee in the morning and beer at night. Hell, iced tea in this at the beach is gold.
I also have a 16oz hydro flask tumbler, but this fits my life better. Just goes to show, even the fancy corporate bros are right once in a generation.
To appease the mod gods: yeti 16oz stainless steel vacuum insulated tumbler
For all of you who keep asking if your handwriting is readable...
It doesn't have to be perfect. It just has to be readable by you.
At least the heart was a colt 6920. Still looking for an acog to this day
