How do professionals make colour stay and keep its quality?

Obviously a lot of this comes down to how people treat their tattoos, sunscreen, moisturizer, etc. Is it all about that tho? Is there anything for technique, ink/supply brand quality, stuff like that? Or is it really just making sure to have an angle, moving slow, keeping your needle saturated, and good after care?

Need feedback on colour choice/tweaking this design

Linework for the stencil added in pic 2, reference image 3, and the last photo was the inspo for the no-line style i drew the first pic in. Already spent some time adjusting the colours so it wouldnt look like a bruise but i would love some more feedback!

My friends and I have been having issues with our keyboards trying to fill sensitive personal information (card #s, addresses, etc) even when permissions arent granted

My friends arent as picky and meticulous abt their privacy as i am so i told them to turn off predictive text and wipe their data. However, I have never had predictive text turned on for this device, EVER. not once. when i got this phone i went through the tedium of checking every single setting this thing had, putting it in developer mode to access some of them, and i go thru my settings every once in a while to turn off settings they try to sneak past me again. i was just using tumblr and it tried to predictive text my ENTIRE HOME ADDRESS. What the fuck man? I dont even have perms on for it to be able to do this. I use a samsung keyboard, a vpn, stay in browser (firefox, settings are also strictly maintained there) or dont use services at all if they wont let me retain my privacy. How do i make sure this keyboard issue doesnt happen again & remove the data theyve got on me?

Where to source official documents to prove descent in Canada? (ancestors in USA and Canada)

So i (26M) am a canadian citizen retroactively thanks to bill c-3 but i need my certificate of citizenship. I have 3 ancestors who were born in canada that i am a direct descendant of, but they were all born in the mid 1800s. Many of them only have parish baptism records or census records/marriage stuff and thats it.

Problem is Im not really sure how to contact these places, i dont know what official versions of the records i need are, or if they accept photocopies like the stuff ive found from records online, and each ancestor was born in a different place - is there somewhere i can go to find all the records for canadian ancestors in 1 place and another for my american ancestors (theyre all from the same state)? where do i begin lol

how to reinforce clay structures so they dont disintegrate in weather? (Clay project for a rain garden)

Hey folks. This is out in the desert. Ive been working hard to make the backyard here a rain garden (passive water collection that slows water enough to soak into the soil but lets overflow pass easily). The back wall of the rain garden is a big concrete wall and directly behind it theres a wash for the entire neighbourhood. some plants grow back there, but struggle to establish because the ground just before the concrete channel is all clay. the entire backyard is basically just, freaking clay, man. Amending the soil would probably take an age or a fortune, so ive been trying to figure out how to work with what we already have. Theres some concern about the rate of erosion with the slope on the wall, and weve been trying to brainstorm how to reinforce it.

Problems:

- The back wall is clay.

- The back wall is too worn down and water flies over it too quickly for new plants to set up there.

- The lack of plants means lack of roots to prevent erosion.

- We get monsoons and the wall gets worse every year.

In my effort to make the backyard a rain garden i have amassed a large amount of pretty good clay. There are things that grow super super well in this clay and i can get more of them to prep for the back wall and establish roots so it wont erode so easily. I have some experience with wild clay pottery (and pitfiring) but not anything at a large scale. The initial plan is to make a clay "natural" sort of structure to basically slow the water moving over it, and also reinforce the wall. Since its at a gradient it has to be reinforced so it wont just slide into the wash or break down when the rain comes through every yeae. I was thinking we would build up clay on the wall to make a sort of semihemisphere effect (if ur not familiar w this go learn abt it cuz its remarkable how simple it is and how effective it is) where the water catches on different tables of clay, slowing it down and forcing it to soak into the earth.

The clay here is caliche. and i have a metric assload of caliche.

Solutions:

- Make a clay based structure on the back wall to catch water better (and still let it flow over to the wash easily)

- Plant some stuff that loves clay

- Profit

Problem is im not sure what to add to reinforce this stuff. Am i supposed to add hay to the clay or something lmao? Make a cobb style structure? Can i just slap down some clay there and change the structure of the back wall? What has to happen to make sure this project has longevity?

anyone else oscillate between genders? or feel like "lesbian" is a gender in its own right?

edit: looks like someone is going thru and blanket downvoting all the comments here. Booooo

hey friends. Sorta figuring myself out again, i posted a few days ago about being transmasc and the comments i received were so kind and supportive. thank you for providing such an understanding and relatable space.

Ive been living the past 4 years under the assumption that im a binary trans man. I have a very dull sense of gender identity, often it feels like i dont have any at all. But i do have a strong sense of dysphoria. Ill keep it brief, its a hella long story, but i was following my dysphoria to guide me thru my transition because id been ignoring it my whole life and it gave me severe depression. My depression is basically (basically) cured since i transitioned and got top surgery.

But then when i got top surgery i felt amazing, felt like my true self, felt like id been born anew lmfao. It was awesome. And the feeling started to fade into something i couldnt quite pin down. I went stealth for my safety after the election and i was soooo miserable. Suddenly thought i looked ugly (a personal feeling of being unattractive, i didnt actually look ugly), i was unhappy, couldnt fix it. I realized im far more comfortable in my body, and im way more capable of playing w gender now that it doesnt hurt to try, if that makes sense. Its opening my eyes to the spectrum of gender that i experience. A lot of trans people want to live the dream of binary existence, a beautiful fantasy of being part of a group theyve always felt they belong to, and/or just being the person they always felt they are. I dont think i really identified with being a guy. I think im some other form of manhood. I guess my truth is that I am my own fantasy, a dream realized of being transgender and celebrating every moment of it. I express myself by oscillating a bit, and thats impossible for me to do when im stealth. I dont like not being seen. I like being me, being very trans, being an enormous dyke, and i like when it shifts around a little. its like holographic nailpolish. different colour every angle you look from. l

Did any of you have a similar experience? I definitely feel like my gender identity is "transgender lesbian", with lesbian being more of a gender than a sexuality just in this context. im obviously also sexually a lesbian lol. I think being a lesbian in a gendered sense gives me "freedom of movement" i havent experienced in years, the ability to play with my presentation. this does freak me out some, having lived my life in a binary way for a while makes me nervous that im somehow "not transgender" but i literally am and its just brainworms talking. Im not a woman, but im not just 1 thing either i think. Im just transmasc, nonbinary, and a lesbian. I know because these are all things i am fully comfortable as being perceived as and it makes me happy when it happens. I used to get really down abt this before. Dont feel it anymore, like at all.

Ive located census records, baptism, and marriage certificates. Im assuming i have to reach out directly to those provinces/states to get official copies from them? I cant imagine im just supposed to like print out the stuff i found on ancestry.com right? how official do documents need to be?
