Hey ☺️ I like to collect rare/niche/harder to find music/fashion/lifestyle magazines with pop girlie cover shoots!

My collection stands at around 200 (including pretty much every cover Dua Lipa has done I’ve the last decade!) and I’ve recently organised the whole lot and thought I’d share some of my favourites for different pop girls!

I really enjoy returning to physical magazines on days where I’m needing a digital detox and it’s always fun to chart someones career via interviews in magazines, plus seeing how their style has changed over the years, particularly in the fashion magazines fascinates me, something that’s harder to do online.

If anyone else collects magazines and has any favourite Katy covers, i’d love to hear about them ☺️

Wonderland - Summer 2013 (original and alt cover)

Wonderland - November/December 2014

The Summer 2013 issue includes a 10 page interview/shoot section "Heart to Heart with Taylor Swift", I love that the Editor mentions how open and honest she is about life (it's a really interesting interview)

The November/December 2014 issue includes an 8 page interview/shoot section with Fashion Editor Danielle Emerson and the shoot is hands down one of my favourites. I know it divides opinion, but I've seen a LOT of fashion shoots in magazines and I don't remember one sticking with me quite like this!

Issue 11 - Zeitgeist is out September 15th and there are 3 Gracie covers 🥰 I went for cover 2!

The Sabrina Carpenter issue is still one of my favourite recent releases, this edition could top it for me!

While I’m a big Dua Lipa fan, I also collect rare/hard to find/niche publications that celebrate other pop girlies as cover stars - I’ve been doing some organising over the last few weeks so I thought I’d share some of my favourites ☺️

My collection runs to around 200 editions, that covers pretty much every Dua Lipa cover she’s done (if anyone has Clash issue 102 cover #1 please please let me know…) so includes some newer, mass-releases like Vogue, Elle etc, but then includes a ton of other pop girls!

I’ve picked these out as my current favourites, but it does change over time and while some of these are my favourites, they’re not necessarily the rarest or most valuable I have in my collection.

I’ll list the editions below, I try and buy mint condition, it’s harder with some older copies though - the Beyonce Dazed cover from 2011 is a little rough around the edges, but aren’t we all after so much time 😅

Today’s pick ups;

Ariana Grande - Petal (Indie Exclusive White vinyl)

Olivia Dean - Growth EP (Pink marble vinyl)

The store owner knows I love pop music and said they had a couple of spare Gracie Abrams Daughter From Hell release posters and gifted me one ❤️ such a cute trip and another reason on top of the long list of why we should support Indie record stores

I love the elasticated band to hold it all together as it unfolds like origami - totally impractical but i’m obsessed!

I went for the alt cover lavender double vinyl from her store release and the alt, alt cover numbered Assai records double red vinyl - both just arrived 😍

The Assai records release is limited to 300 and if anyone else out there collects numbered limited releases you’ll know the squeal I did when I opened it to see 005/300 - we love a low number 😅

Have I been spending a good chunk of the last hour making her dance to all my pop girl emotes in Fortnite? Maybe.

Was the Charli xcx Apple dance the best? Yes. Yes it was 💜🍏

I’m a collector by nature, but my Dua Lipa collection is something I adore (sorry for the terrible photos, I didn’t want to spam with loads of individual shots 🙃)

Pretty much all are factory sealed, i have opened versions that I play regularly. I think I’m missing one of the pink marbled self-titles albums and the YSL promo - i’ve been offered a couple over the years but it’s hard to find one in sealed mint condition, which I always aim for.

I think my favourites pressings are the 2025 matte white self titled FNAC Exclusive, or the Australia tour green Future Nostalgia. The Japanese Radical Optimism cover goes hardest 🤖🦈 I also have a master accetate of Future Nostalgia from Abbey Road studios (my terminology might be off on this one, I’m not technical when it comes to music!)

I also collect magazines and have a pretty extensive collection of Dua covers, from a complete Vogue run to more niche zines like Coup de Main 💕

I cannot explain how happy I am to add this to my collection!

This For Your Consideration promo pack was sent out to select Grammy voting members by Warner Records in the run up to the Grammy Awards - which Dua went on to win Best Pop Vocal Album with Future Nostalgia.

It includes a copy of the album on CD, some promo material highlighting industry reviews at the time and, oddly, a Future Nostalgia branded mini telescope type thing!? There’s also a little card with the a guide to upcoming full moons, so i’m guessing the idea was you could look at the moon 😅🌚
