Day 10: MP9 Boards Ranked from Worst to Best

Surprisingly, I'm on top of this! That's what happens when you have five days off from work lol. This was hard for me to do because all of the boards in MP9 were pretty bad. Tbh, it is the worst game in the series--with MP10 coming in close. Without further ado, here are my rankings from worst to best with an analysis on why!

#7 DK’s Jungle Ruins

This is the clear loser board of the entire game. Not only is it boring (as it is even more of a watered down version of DK’s Treetop Temple), but THIS BOARD TAKES 15 MINUTES TO COMPLETE! The boards in this game are already way too short with all of the others taking about 30 minutes each, but 15 minutes takes about as much time as the minigame modes in this game. The "boss minigames" are also literally just coin or in this case banana minigames with DK and Diddy. And you also loop around the board twice, meaning you loop around the same board, defeating the purpose of everybody traveling together.

#6 Bob-omb Factory

Eh, I don’t really hate this one compared to DK’s Jungle Ruins. However, it can feel too punishing. The gimmick here is that a conveyor belt shifts the path, and players carry explosive Bob-ombs. One bad roll can easily ruin your entire game. That’s all I have to say about it.

#5 Blooper Beach

While this board is pretty cool, it is not quite enjoyable. I don't like the ending section where the mini stars keep getting replaced with mini ztars and vice versa. I also don’t like the beginning part where the Dolphins and Sushi are both there, switching each other's spots, dolphins give you mini stars, and sushi take your mini stars. I think it's neat but nothing more than that. Out of the entire game, this board is the most luck-based.

#4 Boo’s Horror Castle

A decent sequel to King Boo’s Haunted Hideaway. The gimmick here is a Boo follows you around and you can steal the mini-stars of other players. The ending section can be kind of annoying, because if you are the captain and do not roll high enough to get to the final boss space, then you have to circle around the entire ending part of the board again, and you will probably not get the captain bonus on the boss minigame. The reason why it’s not the top three is because the end was too chance-based, and I’m not a fan of that.

#3 Bowser Station

This is the final unlockable board. It requires players to avoid Bowser spaces and traps. The goal of the course is to make one lap around the space station before you can challenge Bowser for a fight. Halfway, Bowser Jr. will try to beat you. The board also has a jackpot. If the counter reaches 20 or more, you'll battle for it in a mini-game.

#2 Magma Mine

This is actually a fun board, and among the top #3 in the entire game. I like the gimmick of where the magma slowly rises. This adds high tension and strategy to the board's second half. T here are split paths on this board where instead of the captain choosing where to go, everybody votes which direction to go and a roulette decides which direction to go. This is very fun because everybody has a say in where to go, unlike most of the captain events in this game. The reason why its not #1 because it is far too short.

#1 Toad Road

This board is easily the best this game has to offer imo. While it is traditional and simple, it’s neat map and I love how bright and cheerful it is. That's because it makes this board slightly less luck-based than the ones I've already mentioned. Plus, it has some awesome music. This board may have lots of green spaces and less chaos/strategy than the other 6, but it’s still good.

Day 9: Mario Party DS Boards Ranked from Worst to Best

https://preview.redd.it/4bv7abfpa9ah1.jpg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dca61e37faee2236e2ecd54158a70b7ea6a3aad9

Let's do this! The last game developed by Hudson Soft before the company shuttered down. Even though I've been playing a lot of the N64 and GameCube era games, today I'm ranking every MPDS board with a short analysis on why.

#5 Kamek’s Library

Yay! We have another island hopping board, that heavily relies on luck. The changing magic book paths and mirage stars can be easily frustrating by throwing off one’s carefully planned turns. I have only played this map a few times, but I have had no fun with the map itself ever. It is so awful. I can't see how anyone could enjoy playing here.

#4 DK’s Stone Statue

Even with 50 turns, it just didn't feel like it was enough. It took so long getting to the place to buy stars, that it almost didn't seem worth it and while other maps in other games have done this, they also included something to go along with the map to keep you occupied. I really liked the look of it though, seeing as you were tiny and all of this wasn't actually all that big in reality.

#3 Wiggler’s Garden

As traditional as this board is, it actually isn’t boring! Maybe because I like flowers and gardening lol. While the basic loop can be repetitive, this is solid and great for beginner players of Mario Party.

#2 Bowser’s Pinball Machine

This board is pretty good. It's a Bowser board, but it mostly isn't as harsh as the others which I like. However, there is one part of the board that is too harsh, that being the Bowser zone. Losing ALL of your coins AND stars is devastating and can ruin entire long games, which is really frustrating. However, this board is saved by how cool the happening spaces are, so it still manages to be among the top #2 board in the game.

#1 Toadette’s Music Room

This board is really good. It has a pretty basic gimmick, all it is is every star the star (music note) price goes up by 5 coins until it resets back to 5. This gimmick allows a lot of strategy of what stars you do and don't want to get though, which is really cool. Also, the design of the board is nice and I like that a lot.

Day 8: MP8 Boards Ranked from Worst to Best

https://preview.redd.it/k4m0wixfu1ah1.jpg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ab1ff374ca1c3e79c9f042335a232058eb3da4f2

It's been a while, but I'm back with the rankings. I honestly forgot how good the MP8 boards were, except for one which I hated. Let's get started, with my rankings from worst to best along with a short analysis on why.

#6 Goomba’s Booty Boardwalk

This board is terrible—the worst board in the game and among the worst boards in the entire series. It is too linear and doesn't have enough interesting gimmicks for me. It is a watered down version of Pagoda Peak. The Goomba gives you the star for FREE—not 20 coins, not even 10 coins, free. It is so dumb and it makes any form of skill or fun in this board non existent.

#5 DK’s Treetop Temple

One of the most boring boards in the entire series. Unlike the starting boards from MPs 2-7, this board doesn't really do anything to stand out from any other boards. That’s because all it has going for is a treetop temple. You look for a star on the board and pay 20 coins for one when you get to it. The music is decent, but it's a bit annoying at times.

#4 Bowser’s Warped Orbit

It’s another…you guessed it…star stealing board. I would say this is slightly better than Pyramid Park, as players must steal stars from each other with Bowser or Bullet Candy. Bowser Candy gives you two dice blocks, and if you pass by someone, you steal two stars. With Bullet Candy, it's three dice blocks but only one star. I do find it strange that Bowser steals everybody's coins when you land on his space. Plus, the Bowser features are kinda barely there. Speaking of star stealing boards, I think Snowflake Lake is the best out of all three of them.

#3 King Boo's Haunted Hideaway

I like the concept where after every single star, everyone warps back to start. However, this board is too gimmicky for me. Also the stars are 10 coins instead of 20 coins, which I find to be boring. Not only is it gimmicky, it is also luck based. The board is a spooky mansion with shifting walls, and stars are found by blindly entering hidden rooms and praying you stumble upon King Boo. Despite that, I do like the board but it’s not in the top 2 for me.

#2 Shy Guy’s Perplex Express

It’s a much better version of Goomba’s Booty Boardwalk, with the star being 20 coins instead of being free. I like when you land on the event space, the train cars will shuffle and change everyone’s path to getting the star. I also like the soundtrack, as it has such chill music. It's perfect train music and truly symbolizes the amazement of traveling with a train, a luxury one at that. It’s a great board overall.

#1 Koopa’s Tycoon Town

The best board in the entire game and one of my favorite boards in the entire series. Remember everything I said about Windmillville in my prior post about the MP7 boards? Apply my reasoning why that board is great, but take away the flaws. So it has the great strategy and gimmick of investing buildings, this time, it’s hotels. And it’s not luck based, which is amazing. On top of that, the hotels increase in stars based off of the amount of coins you put in them, it's not pre selected which have how many stars (which the exception of the lucky space hotels). This is why this board is #1 in MP8.

Day 7: MP7 Boards Ranked from Worst to Best

https://preview.redd.it/uwbk52q84r8h1.jpg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9ddbc9d3a2b25bd35b9eb292527da6a8f6e89d77

Welcome back to ranking all the Mario Party boards (except Star Rush, Island Tour, and Advance) from worst to best! And here we are, the last of the GameCube era games—Mario Party 7. I’m gonna be honest with you, this was the last good console game of the series. 8 and Jamboree are the exceptions, but it has steadily gone downhill after MP7. Without further ado, here are my rankings of the boards from worst to best with a short analysis on why.

#6 Pyramid Park

And here we have it, another star-stealing board. Just like Snowflake Lake, you use Chain Chomps to steal Stars from other players as you pass by. Sadly, this is the weakest board of the entire game. Unlike Snowflake Lake, this does nothing to stand out as a star stealing board as one player can easily steal stars and completely dominate the board.

#5 Grand Canal

Not only is it the starting board of the game, but also offers the “traditional” Mario Party experience. While I do like it and it has an interesting design, it is ranked #5 because it is pretty basic for a board. That’s all I have to say about it.

#4 Bowser’s Enchanted Inferno!

Ahhh yes…another island-hopping board. However, this board does it better than the prior island hopping boards with the multiple, well-placed bridges allow you to change directions easily. My complaint about it is I don't like how once the Bowser meter is full he just sinks an island, regardless of if a player is on it or not. Also, it’s your typical lava Bowser board with no really interesting theme at all.

#3 Neon Heights

This board is very interesting, and it’s the sequel to Spiny Desert but the weaker version of it. However, it’s still in the top 3 for me as it is fun to play and I really like the gimmick with instead of the traditional star hunting board, there are three hidden treasure chests scattered across the board. One chest contains a Star, while another has coins, and the final one either has nothing or a trap.

#2 Windmillville

The introduction to a whole new world of Mario Party board gimmicks—the investment boards. Instead of buying stars directly, you invest your coins into giant windmills to own them. Whenever someone passes a windmill, the owner gets a star. While I do love this board as it has a catchy soundtrack and I love its Dutch theme, here is a reason why it’s not #1 for me. It is a cool economic game where you have to decide whether to save your coins or spend them. However, you cannot choose your path, other players can easily steal your windmills, and random events can ruin your money.

#1 Pagoda Peak

This board is amazing! Even though it is a linear board, they still found a way to make your spot on the board be different every time via the happening spaces, which I love. I also like the fact that the star changes price, which is rare in Mario Party. I love its ancient Chinese and Japanese theme, so this board is #1 for me and one of my top favorite boards in the entire series.

As usual, what are your rankings for the MP7 boards?

Also, Jinger is becoming the new Farrah Abraham from Teen Mom with her world salad.

Former child star Daveigh Chase ‘drugged out of her mind’ in last years, mother says

Let this poor girl rest in peace.

Keep in mind that this is the same woman who allowed her minor child to go to a Diddy party with all adults. Daveigh was probably running away from her family for a reason. People don’t do drugs or give up on life by choice. Trauma everytime.

Mother is doing her stupid Q+As again

  1. I am convinced that it’s either Jinger with Jeremy’s account or Joy asking these questions because no one cares about them.

  2. Half of them are about links so I didn’t even include that.

  3. Jinger looks just like Michelle in pic #2.

  4. With pic #3, she is once again confirming that they’re done because of their long awaited son but added “we’ll see” because of her parents and Jim Bob Un’s flying monkeys. Honestly, if Finn were a girl, Jinger would be pregnant again by the end of this year.

Day 6: MP6 Boards Ranked from Worst to Best

https://preview.redd.it/mivpgowtix7h1.jpg?width=480&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=50c4d10681809b0f628f33cd0f3b98e6d19d51a0

Here we are, my favorite Mario Party game! This game has some of the best boards, minigames, and the best gimmick imo, and everything about this game is great. So I'm very excited to rank the boards. Like with MP3, this was very hard to rank because all of the boards were really good.

#6 Clockwork Castle

Sorry, guys. I know you’re gonna be disappointed with this, but this is my least favorite board in MP6. The gimmick isn’t very fun. At daytime, Donkey Kong will be the star, and after every turn, he will move a number of spaces depending on a dice roll. So you must get to him or he must get to you. But at nighttime, DK is replaced by Bowser, and the board is flipped, literally. There are some slow animations, and extra mobility would be appreciated.

#5 Castaway Bay

This board is very similar to Mario’s Rainbow Castle, but a weaker version of it. It does have a fun star mechanism and relaxing theme, but the board can be slow and Boo dominates the strategy too much. Also, Donkey Kong and Bowser swapping throughout the game can be annoying.

#4 Faire Square

Taking full advantage of the day/night cycle, this board offers a constantly shifting dynamic. During the day, Brighton sells stars for a fixed 20 coins. At night, Twila lets you gamble on the price by offering stars for varying amounts. My two complaints of the board is that RNG nighttime price of it can make games really one-sided and the right side of the board is practically useless.

#3 Snowflake Lake

Ahh yes, we have the star-stealing board. This utilizes a star-stealing mechanic where players use Chain Chomps to steal from their opponents. The center features an ice skating event that alters how you navigate the map, making it highly interactive. Plus, I like the wintry atmosphere and this one of the only two boards in the entire series with a winter theme (the first being Chilly Waters). I generally don’t like star-stealing boards, but this is the best one in the series as MP6 did this gimmick right.

#2 E. Gadd’s Garage

Of course, you can't have a classic Mario Party game without the standard star hunt board! A beautifully thematic board loaded with teleportation devices and warp pads. It plays like a traditional Mario Party board, but uses its intricate orb layout and mobility mechanics to allow for deep strategic plays rather than just relying on luck. My only complaint about it is that it has little effect of the day/night theme. Overall, this board is amazing.

#1 Towering Treetop

This is the other standard star-hunting board in the game. Luckily, MP6 does them the best, especially compared to other entries like 5 or 7. Towering Treetop is by far, the best starting boards, with its interesting board design around a tree, great music and excellent visuals. The day/night change is small compared to other boards, in that some paths open up and close during the night, but it incorporates that theme really well. Overall, this is a perfect map in every single way and it’s not just my favorite MP6, but also my #1 favorite board in the entire series.

As usual, what are your rankings for the MP6 boards?

Day 5: MP% Boards Ranked from Best to Worst

https://preview.redd.it/ycfbx3omhr7h1.jpg?width=1600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=01f326269501cac01508c254d4ee224b0aa92a37

Welcome back to where I rank all--except for Advance, Star Rush, Island Tour--the boards in the Mario Party series!

Even though I was first introduced to Mario Party with MP2 via my cousins at 6 years old, my first actual memory with the series is with the GameCube series (MP4 and MP5 being the first ones that I owned). After replaying this game again as an adult, the boards on here are underwhelming. While they are better than the MP4 boards, they are mostly boring except for a couple of them. ALL of the significant board events are hidden behind capsules you can only get completely at random. No shop to choose a capsule to buy, no Chain Chomp or other stealing events (gotta be given them at random). Also, none of them have shops, Koopa Banks or Chain Chomps and most of them don't have any sort of minigame or varied events, just six different ways to warp you somewhere.

With that out of that way, let's get to ranking these boards with a short analysis on why.

#7 Rainbow Dream

And here we have, the finale board! The layout is not that fun and the love child of both Wario’s Battle Canyon and Mystery Land—with lots of island hopping. However, it is slightly better than those two with the visuals.

#6 Future Dream

This is such a stale board. Even though it’s a space themed board, there no details in the background at all to make it look like the theme. And it’s also…you guessed it…island hopping! But what makes this board better than Rainbow Dream is that you can travel to other islands no matter what island you’re on (there are three of them on the board).

#5 Toy Dream

The first board of the game! It is the most basic board in the entire series. While the toy train is pretty cool to ride on and the music is awesome, the board is not too memorable and bland.

#4 Bowser’s Nightmare

You’re gonna be disappointed that this board is not in the top 3, but hear me out. Yes, it is less punishing than Bowser’s Magma Mountain and yes, the visuals are pretty cool. However, it’s just fine to me and I like the top 3 more than this one. That’s literally it. I do like the final Bowser battle though.

#3 Sweet Dream

This is a passable board, and the sequel to Peach’s Birthday Cake. However, it is better than its predecessor by allowing players to make choices before reaching split paths, preventing characters from getting permanently trapped or going in repetitive circles. The only complaint I have about that is the cake piece cutting event will always take you back to the start space. I wish it was something better like the cake slice taking you to an opponent’s space instead of the start.

#2 Undersea Dream

This is a better version of Deep Bloober Sea. It has only two islands compared to the four that Rainbow Dream has which makes going between them easier and more fun. The happening spaces at the bottom are nice since they guarantee 20 coins and are a good way to travel if you need it. The other happening spaces are pretty generic though. Plus, there’s only two capsule machines instead of three like the other boards for some reason.

#1 Pirate Dream

The strongest board in the entire series. The layout is well made and the cove theme is visually appealing. Climbing the rocks, crossing the track, going over the ship are all fun experiences. The happening spaces are also pretty good and fitting. The digging minigame is also a good source for coins. Overall, the best board in the entire game.

Taylor Parker: The Monster Who Stole a Baby | True Crime Documentary

Netflix left out a lot of detail surrounding this insane case, as there is a lot more to it. Very telling that not one of Taylor’s family members—her mom, Shona Prior, and brother, Zachary Morton—had a positive thing to say about her If you’re interested, this video covers quite a bit more on this. Taylor is evil and a pathological liar, and she is right where she belongs.

u/sweet_tea_94 — 20 days ago

Taylor Parker from Netflix’s “Maternal Instinct” was interviewed from Texas death row in February 2025

This is from the article titled “The Nuns Trying to Save the Women on Texas’s Death Row” by Lawrence Wright from The New Yorker. Here is an excerpt from it, which is Taylor’s interview.

“Until Taylor went on trial, she told me, she was in denial that she’d done anything wrong: ‘I was in a full-on war in my mind. I told myself, ‘You didn’t do what they said. It’s lies.’ She added, ‘My realization came when I had to face the autopsy photos. Jesus hit me straight on, flesh to flesh. That courtroom was so silent, but I heard his voice loud and clear. He told me to open my eyes and see reality.’”

“Taylor was then twenty-nine. After the sentence was pronounced, she was made to hear impact statements from (Reagan) Simmons-Hancock’s loved ones. ‘Every word spoken by the family I took with me that day,’ she recalled. ‘They were true words of pain and grief and love that I needed to hear to start my road to redemption.’”

“Handcuffed and in leg irons, she was taken from the courthouse, in East Texas, and driven to Gatesville. ‘My mind was a VHS tape playing forward, rewinding, and hitting Play again,’ she said. ‘I sat in the back of the van, and I watched my last, most beautiful sunset turn to night and just talked to God.’ She was terrified of being left in the custody of prison guards, but when she arrived at the unit a female officer assured her that she was safe.”

“Taylor was stripped and fingerprinted, and her tattoos were photographed. She was given a medical check, and then she was dressed in prison whites. When she was finally escorted onto death row, she was stripped again, as is protocol whenever inmates move from one block to another. She entered her cell at midnight. ‘It will always be the most grateful moment of my life,’ she told me. ‘Christ was right there beside me.’

“‘They call me the baby,’ Taylor told me, with an engaging smile. ‘I’m everybody’s kids’ age.’ She wore a puffy green jacket over her prison-issued white tunic. We talked about the two years she’d spent in a county jail before being transferred to death row. She had been placed in a four-cell unit with mentally unstable inmates. “I was with inmates who ate feces and blood,’ she recalled. She gestured to the tables and chairs bolted to the floor, and said, ‘This is the Hilton compared to the county jail.’

Day 4: MP4 Boards Ranked from Worst to Best

https://preview.redd.it/1r2xb0ghed7h1.jpg?width=1600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0c377d5b27672f4a88c9107575a5ad115ce1e382

And we have now entered the GameCube era! Before we start, I want to say that all of the boards in Mario Party 4 are flawed—visually bland and mediocre functionality wise. However, I would say that they are just okay, not terrible but not great either. With that being said, time to rank these boards from worst to best with a short analysis on why.

#6 Bowser’s Gnarly Party

Ahhh yes…the chaotic finale. It has lots of potential with the bridges which switch direction every three crossings, and it can be pretty fun to employ some good timing to get across and lock someone else away from the star. However, the worst part of the board is the game is entirely unplayable for the person locked out. The board is so massive that they'll probably be the only one stuck in the loop, and it takes THREE loops to escape unless some warping event happens. Overall, the weakest board in the game and to be honest, the worst final board in the entire series.

#5 Toad’s Midway Madness

The first board of the GC era. While the amusement park theme is fun, this board is heavily luck-based due to the rotating teacups and the roller coaster. Both can be pretty annoying after a while. Plus, the board layout is cramped with a Mega Mushroom risking you to skip the item shop, the Boo house, and the star space. Not only is it a weak starting board, it is also the worst starter board in the entire series IMO.

#4 Boo’s Haunted Bash

I like that this board is reasonably sized, where things are spaced out enough that makes the Mega Mushroom very useful without wrecking the pace of the game. My only real complaint is that I don’t like that riding the train is not optional. While it sucks you don’t get coins from that, it adds strategy as a way to screw over another player. I’m also not a fan of the bridges vanishing, but it’s easy enough to get around.

#3 Koopa’s Seaside Soiree

This is the sequel to Deep Bloober Sea, but a more fun version of it. It's well-sized, relatively open, the music is amazing, and features fun event spaces like the dolphin taxi system. However, the board is pretty basic and simple. That’s all I have to say about it really.

#2 Shy Guy’s Jungle Jam

This board is very unique and the least frustrating board to navigate. I do like that it allows the usefulness of the Mini Mushroom to reach tight spaces. My only real complaint about this board is that it doesn’t have events and I lost interest in it almost halfway through. I do appreciate the Shy Guy’s wishing faces, as it can be pretty funny. However, what I would change is giving players control if Shy Guy gets sad and causing the tears. It’s still a good board though.

#1 Goomba’s Greedy Gala

I think this is the strongest board of the entire game. I really do like the gimmick here, which is a roulette. That can be more likely to land in the spot closest to the star if you pay coins. And you can pay more coins to make it more likely. I think it is fun, and I do like that this board will reward you with coins—more than any other board, which I appreciate.

Tonight, I decided after a 7 day pause that this app is not working for me anymore. I was hoping I wouldn’t come to this and it makes me sad because it’s not working for me anymore. The app has changed so much and I feel like it stopped being all about goals and more like the events of the month. It feels fake to me now and no imperative for me to finish the goal. And I just deleted the app off of my phone.

Day 3: MP3 Boards Ranked from Worst to Best

https://preview.redd.it/cx0m2aq3b57h1.jpg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ec1683ef6d38c71c916688fb797e9d9d37a107d1

Sorry this is several days late, as life has gotten busy for me. Time for the last of the N64 era games, and this was very hard to do because all of the boards in MP3 were great! However, a couple of them definitely tested my patience lol. So without ado, here are my rankings with a short analysis on why.

#6 Waluigi's Island

The ultimate finale, full of chaos. I think it's very overrated and not the strongest board. I like the idea of spaces changing every turn, but I don't like that it's stuck to just one island on the board. Also, Waluigi himself isn’t so exciting to me enough to want a board of him. Yes, he gets credit in spin offs and stands alongside Wario. But specific to the series, his board is not that interesting (to me) outside of the explosive mechanic and the other islands. It's a board that I wouldn't choose myself, but would play if others wanted to choose that one.

#5 Creepy Cavern

The atmosphere of this board is pretty cool, but the layout was quite difficult to navigate. It is quite claustrophobic and one of the only two ways to navigate to the other side of the board is paying Whomps to move with items as currency? Also, a minecart that transports players to the other side is another way? Yeah, that feels restrictive and tedious to me.

#4 Deep Bloober Sea

This board is overall visually pleasing--the soundtrack is awesome and the layout is interesting. It is quite luck-dependent, you will be thrown around the map by either an enormous fish or a blooper and his mommy. That can be frustrating and tiresome. The board is fun, but among the weakest in the game (along with Waluigi's Island and Creepy Cavern).

#3 Chilly Waters

The first board in the third spinoff of the series. This is the improved sequel to Space Land without the sucky events. It has a similar layout (a square with paths and an event in the middle), but the key here is to get out of the middle before the ice breaks and knocks you off course or decide it's safer to go the long way and know you'll progress for sure. I liked that gimmick, even though it can be unfair at times. While it is very simplistic and has a basic layout, it is very fun to play.

#2 Spiny Desert

This is an underrated board, and I wish more love was shown for it. The gimmick here is that there are two stars available, one real and one fake. This creates even more of a strategic puzzle, as you can let somebody else go to the star first and test it. This can even give more power to the player going last rather than first. The only flaw is there are too many happening spaces in those quicksand circles. All too often, you'll be trying desperately to just get away, but someone always manages to trigger the quicksand!

#1 Woody Woods

The best board of the entire game and one of my favorite boards in the entire series. It is a highly strategic map and even more so if you take advantage of the Reverse Shroom. Also, the one of best soundtracks in the game too. I like the sign-switching at the beginning of every turn, as it isn't harsh and you can use Monty Mole to flip them at any time. I'm glad Nintendo picked this board to return in Superstars, as they had added more good stuff to the board such as reversing the gates and adding a shop to the bottom left loop to help it be potentially worth going down when the Star isn't on it.

What are your rankings for the MP3 boards? I'd love to hear them! Here are my rankings for the MP1 boards and the MP2 boards if y'all want to check it out.

Day 2: MP2 Boards Ranked from Worst to Best

I am continuing on the series and ranking all the Mario Party boards (except for Advance, Top 100, Star Rush, and Island Tour)! Yesterday, I did a ranking on the MP1 boards from worst to best. Today is my ranking of the Mario Party 2 boards from worst to best! And here is a short analysis on why with each ranking.

#6 Mystery Land

It's the sequel to Wario's Battle Canyon. However, it is slightly better than that awful board! Sadly, it's still luck-dependent as the layout does have island hopping, but you have to land on a Happening Space to go to that island which basically locks the star away from everyone for half the game when we played. It is easier than WBC so I'll give it that, but I would rather play other boards in the game.

#5 Pirate Land

Ahhh yes, the first board in the entire game. While this is the perfect board for entry level players, it lacked events--especially the only real event was these bridges littered with Happening Spaces that would send everyone on the bridges back to the start. Also, it was annoying to travel around. Overall, the board was too simple and I never really cared for it.

#4 Space Land

While this board does have a cool layout, a great soundtrack, and it's easy to get around, it didn't have proper events. For example, while the Bowser beam is pretty cool, it sucked that it doesn't really affect anyone (only in its pathway) and it takes ALL of the coins (instead of like 10 or 20). Also, every time you land on that space, the Snifit Patrol chases you back to the last corner.

#3 Bowser Land

This board is a huge improvement from Bowser's Magma Mountain. They realized they can make "Bowser is mean" without making it cruel and unforgiving. The layout is not that great, but the mechanics of the board make it fun-- the Koopa Bank that gives you five coins when you pass, but steals from you when you land on it. However, the Bowser Parade is mediocre and it's easy to avoid. The board does serve as a chaotic and excellent finale to the game.

#2 Horror Land

Now we're talking! I loved the atmosphere and the soundtrack, and the day/night cycle was conceptually interesting. With this cycle, you can plan ways to use it to your advantage or to screw other players. I personally prefer the MP2 version to the Superstars version of this board because the former is more colorful and looks like a spooky town. However, I do wish that the day/night cycle affected more stuff on the board.

#1 Western Land

My favorite board in this game, and one of my favorites in the entire series--along with Horror Land. Honestly, it was hard to choose between Western Land and Horror Land for the #1. The theme here is so much fun, and the costumes for that brings a lot of personality to this board. The board is oversized, but it feels easier to get around thanks to the shortcuts and riding the train. And speaking of the remake, Jamboree did an amazing job with it--especially with the level of detail and care it was given.

Personally, I don’t think neither Cole nor Chelsea were in the wrong here.

Both were doing their best to parent a child who was abandoned by their bio parent.

And I want to point out that since Adam is now mostly out of Aubree’s life and with Cole bringing stability into her life, her behavior has gotten much better—even though younger kids do have tantrums sometimes. It’s just like Mackenzie’s kids (Gannon, Jaxie, and Broncs). Once Khes came and brought stability into their lives, their behavior majorly improved.

EDIT: Wanted to say something about Adam and Aubree's relationship. The last I heard about it was Chelsea said that Adam and Aubree occasionally text, but they are not close. My guess is that now that Aubree is a teenager, Chelsea no longer has a hand in her relationship with her bio dad and lets them have contact with each other. I get the feeling that she only sees his family for major holidays and in between, she has the occasional texting with him/few phone calls a year with his mom. I think when Aubree does text Adam, she is the one who initiates it and he basically only gives one word answers. Again, Chelsea said this maybe three years ago, and we have no clue what her current relationship with Adam and his family is now. Either way, I'm glad Aubree has Cole and they have a great relationship with him calling her as his own daughter/her calling him dad.
