In today's episode of gunbroker insanity - a CZ52 "parts kit" with a starting bid higher than the market value of the full gun, and an ISIS "suicide bomber passport" for the low low price of 15000+200 shipping
Ireland Haul - how did I do?
Just got back from my first trip to Ireland. Visited the Middleton distillery and the airport duty free shop. Went over budget but whatever. How did I do?

Is it just me or has LR gotten slow and laggy?
I've been using LR since LR3 in 2012. I typically use LRC these days. I have a high end gaming PC (albeit from a few years ago) currently. LR runs light absolute dogshit to the point its nearly unusable. I used to be able to quickly edit hundreds of photos in a few hours. Now I find myself moving so much slower because the program is just laggy and nonresponsive. Reminds me of the dial up days of the internet.

Slide stop issue
I recently purchased an M17 and today I swapped the grip module for the X-Full. Since then I have been having difficulty with the slide stop. It works...sometimes. I'm not sure if it just needs to be broken in or what but it is unreliable.
So for instance with a mag inserted it will only lock back the slide sometimes. If it does lock back, sometimes it will just be stuck when I press it and not drop the slide. If I lock the slide back with the mag out it will not release the slide no matter what.
I will say that where it sits in the cut-out it does make contact with the forward portion of the cut-out in the grip module. There is about a 1mm gap between the rear portion of the release and the rear portion of the cut-out. Where it does make contact in the front it seems to be wearing into it a bit.
I am wondering if this is a QC thing with the grip module or if maybe it's just meant to be worn in?
No movement in 5 days - package coming from IL to NY. What should I do?
CA3 - Cheeseman v Platkin - En Banc panel rules New Jersey's AWB is Unconstitutional
I have not read this in full yet. I will add my thoughts to the comments section as I go along.
This is a significant opinion because it finally creates a circuit split on both AWBs and magazine capacity ban cases. In light of SCOTUS granting cert to Viramantes the discussion questions are -
Does this meaningfully change the analysis for SCOTUS?
Does this rebut the recent AWB decision from CA7 in Barnett v Raoul from last week?
Will this increase the chances of SCOTUS granting cert on Duncan v Bonta - the magazine capacity ban case - now that there is a circuit split?
In today's edition of Gunbroker insanity - this seller had several dozen listings expiring this morning. None of them with any bids.
This is a selection of some of the more egregious listings. None had any bids. Which is a good thing. I am hoping this is a sign gunbroker is healing. I'm glad to see this seller wasting time and effort with all of these overpriced listings.
Seriously, who TF is paying $600+ for a commercial French Ruby? I literally got a French Army marked Ruby late last year for under $200
Type 14 firing pin question (is this normal?)
OK so I got the correct firing pin thanks to everyone's advice in my previous thread. I installed it but I noticed something odd.
With the bolt fully locked back, the firing pin protrudes through its hole. When I saw this I was like oh fuck its gonna slamfire. However as I slowly bring the bolt forward I see that the pin actually retracts itself like an eighth of the way forward in its travel or so.
I did an experiment with some snap caps. Loaded in the magazine it will fire appropriately with a normal sized primer indent and eject just fine.
I then put one in the chamber and slammed the bolt forward - no primer indent. Then I loaded one into the chamber from the magazine and ejected it without pulling the trigger - no primer indent.
So I don't think it will slam fire but I do find it odd that the pin protrudes when the bolt is back. I don't think I've seen this on any other gun.
Is this normal for a Nambu?
CA7 - Barnett v Raoul - Illinois ban on AR15 rifles is constitutional
Sorry, forgot that 2A related posts have to be a text post not a link for some reason.
Discussion starters:
Will this meaningfully change SCOTUS analysis in the upcoming Viramontes case?
Did CA7 faithfully apply the Bruen analysis as clarified recently by Wolford?
Nassau County gets destroyed in federal court over unlawful pistol permit revocation and gun seizure
Very interesting read. Favorable cites to Rahimi. Biden appointed judge surprisingly. Judge applies Bruen correctly and demolishes Nassau's pistol permit revocation policy .

Firing pin replacement?
Field stripping my Type 14. Unfortunately the firing pin is broken as I've heard is common with these guns. The fragment is not present in the channel. However the pin is serialized and matches the frame which is cool. I'm wondering the best way to source a replacement?
M1911A1 and Nambu Type 14 - my two acquisitions thus far this year
Going for quality over quantity this year I guess. This time last year I was was up to 4 of an eventual 10 additions! Excited though as these are my first two true WW2 pistols.
I do have a military Beretta 1934 but it was made in 1947, a Spanish Astra 400 (neutral country), and a WW1 French Ruby that has some signs of WW2 use (hole in slide for holster disc). Not sure if I should count those or not. What do you think?
Monthly payment amount somehow 4 dollars?
On PAYE. My monthly payment amount has always been $810. I just noticed that the monthly bill sent to me has my "amount due" as 4 dollars now, though my autopay amount is still the same $810 it's always been. Going back it's been this way for several months and I'm just noticing it now. About to submit my yearly ECF. Any idea why this is happening, if it means anything at all, or if I should be worried?
