I don’t think I am, but the seller it upset at me and trying to get be kicked form a group and idk what to do

So a while ago I saw a post from someone listing out their trades and the things they wanted for them, and one of those things was a pretty rare keychain.

I wanted one of their pretty rare trading cards, and so I reached out and ask if I happen to find that keychain, would they be willing to make that trade for the card. And they said yes.

So Fast forward to when i actually found the keychain they were looking for. It was still at a pricy number, but it was the cheapest one I have seen and to me it look legit.

So i bought it and notified them it, questioning if that card was still available (it was) and requested that they could put it on hold for me then until the keychain arrived.

Well it did and I sent them a picture of it first and they approved of it. So we make the trade, and weeks later received our items.

But the other day they reached out to me again questioning about the charm and whether it was actually offical, cause apparently their friend notified them that the way the acrylic was done was a different to how the official merch does it, and how the colours were off.

They sent photos in comparison to their friends charm and yeah, the colours did look a lil different the acrylic looked a more rounder then sharper like the official

Ofc I said it it look legit to me when I bought it

But now their saying I scammed them and that I either re-send them back the card they traded me or they’re reporting me to the mod to get me kicked for scamming???

And idk what to do, cause I don’t want to send the card back for 3 reasons:

1: They approved the image I sent beforehand and agreed to the trade already.

2: depsirt the pictures they sent, I still feel uneasy and can’t even be 100% sure if they’re telling the truth??

3: It already cost me $40 to have the keychain shipped over to them, so would have to spend another $40 just to send the card back.

so I’d be I’m essentially losing $80 for nothing, which doesn’t really seem fair when they had already approved the trade in the first place

And so idk what to do. Im gonna try and reach out the Mods and discuss the situation, but if I’m still gonna be kicked out, that just feels so unfair ://

So I’m in a fandom where there was a limited keychain of a character years ago that I REALLY want.

But not only is it incredibly rare to fine anyone willing to trading/selling it, but when I do they’re normally asking for $200–$250 for it 💀 or trades that are worth $300+ ( not even including shipping).

Im not someone who cares if somethings offical or not, just as long as it’s looks like the artwork and is good enough quality, its fine

And So it’s gotten to the point where I’m tempted to just either grab the design and make it r transparent, or trace it into a vector base so it’s higher render quality. To then find someone who does custom keychains to make one JUST for me.

Obviously, if I actually went through with this and didn’t tell anyone, no one would ever know.

But I’m genuinely just curious about what the public opinion is on whether this would be considered bad?

As I’m also someone who dosnt support manufacturers who steal designs from artists and reproduce/resell them. And that I will go out of my way to find the OG artist and buy it there

But I’m wondering if this is different or if I’m just being hypocritical? Since the original merch was made by an actual company rather than an independent artist. Nor is it sold anywhere anymore. If the product was still available, then That would be a different story.

But it’s not, and it sucks when there’s limited merch. So whne late comers come into a fandom, the only way to get said item is to pay hundreds of $$ $ to scalpers

Way back when I first worked on an animated show, my lead pulled me aside and taught me something called the “3-line rule.”

It was a tip to help that helped me make my poses and linework look confident and less wonky

But I’ve completely forgotten how he explained it.

Has anyone else heard of a rule similar to this? If so, could you explain how you interpret it

I’m aroace, and I just can’t connect with someone romantically or sexually in a way that makes me decide or even want to be with them all the time or for the rest of my life.

The very few people I’ve formed a really strong bond with, or the closest thing I’d consider to love, are still people I only see as friends. Or, at least part of my family.

I personally still have a interesting for companionship though. (Very late in my Nanna’s life, her and her best friend just ended up living together. As my nanna’s divorced her husband and her best friend husband had already passed on in a war. My mum did suspecte that they maaay have been gay to each other?, but we never new if that was the case….) but I liked that idea of rooming with a friend for the rest of my life.

And so if getting into a relationship is purely just for that companionship, I could understand that, but does your partner feel the same way? Or do they see you romantically/sexually while you only see them as a close friend?

And If that’s the case, then how do they feel about that dynamic? And what’s difference from it being form leading someone on?? Is it simply just never puting the “bf/gf” label on?

I’ve heard mixed opinions about whether aroace people can be in relationships or not. Some say they can, while others argue that the whole point of being aroace is not wanting a relationship because we can’t experience those required feelings that usually forms the basis of one.

So im curious. For those who are aroace and in relationships, how does it work for you?

So I’ve gotten myself into a bit of a pickle and I’m not sure what the right thing to do is.

I’m a card collector from a animated show, and there were some exclusive cards only being sold at a recent event. One card was $10, and another was included in a 5-booster pack that cost $45.

I asked my followers if anyone attending could grab them for me, and I’d pay them back plus shipping. Thankfully, someone offered to help and picked up both for me.

The issue is that I’m from Australia, and from my past experience, over seas shipping usually costs around $40–$50 USD, maybe up to $100 at most. But they’ve told me the shipping will be $270 USD????? (Their from California) which is about $370 AUD for me plus $55USD

This person has been a supporter of my work for a while, so I don’t think they’re trying to scam me or anything, but there’s just no way I can justify paying $400+ for simply 2 cards

So Now I’m stuck on what to do. I could tell them to just keep the cards instead since they’re also a collector, but then I feel bad if they only bought them to help me out and didn’t actually want them themselves.

So should I just bite the bullet and paid them back the $55 for the products even tho I’m not getting them? Or would drawing them something (like a commission at the same price ) be a appropriate pay off
