A lot of people complain about how dry Trader Joe's frozen pickle falafel are. The secret is to steam them!

Wrap recipe:

• Wrap of choice
• Vegan mayo of choice
• Dehydrated chopped onions
• Trader Joe's Pickle Seasoning
• Trader Joe's Dill Pickle Mini Falafels (I use 7-8)
• Kimchi of choice
• Sun dried tomatoes
• Romaine lettuce

Put the falafel in a steamer for 10 or so minutes (doesn't take long--I don't have a microwave). They'll be nice and moist, not dry at all).

Chop the kimchi and tomatoes. I like them in little pieces so that I get even flavoring in eery bite.

Add the mayo, onion, pickle spice, tomatoes, and kimchi to the wrap.

Cut the falafel in half and smush 'em down across the wrap.

Add lettuce.

Roll up and eat!

I've been a loyal Ocoopa user for years. Two of their handwarmer models that have been recalled were the only things that helped my hands survive in the last five years. I got an email from Amazon alerting me. I previously disposed of my old ones after they stopped charging (properly disposed in a special battery receptacle for them).

I am still currently using two of their newer models that have not been recalled. But I'm not sure if I'll use a different brand now.

I've watched this at least 5x today, and it's made me laugh every time. Feels like a mandatory video to watch before checking in on LinkedIn (which I heavily avoid these days).

I'm an OG Cleveland Kitchen lover since they're local. Been getting their sauerkraut since they were just a little shop doing farmers' market stands with giant barrels of kraut. I LOVE their Kimchi-flavored pickles, and their dill are good (though Claussen was my benchmark).

I saw these new treats today at a store called Heinen's. Didn't grab them (trying to avoid the dangerous snacks). But would love to hear how they are if you've had them!

I work from home and would like to buy a pneumatic desk instead of an electric desk. (I've been unemployed for 14 months and started two businesses, so money is tight, and the standing desk is where I spend my life. Been using a hand crank one and don't want another.

A local office furniture resale store has an older Humanscale pneumatic desk in good condition. Likely around $200 (going to see it later today).

For those of you who bought one of these when they were around, how is it holding up? I've seen a few posts in the archives here stating that the mechanism stop working properly, including the whole thing getting stuck in one position or half of it falling and getting stuck. I can't afford to buy a desk and have it break. I don't mind scuffs and normal wear and tear, but functionality is key.

Would love to hear from folks who've used it for a long time. TIA!

I live in Ohio/USA, and we have a grocery store chain here called Giant Eagle that is sometimes part of a bigger brand called Market District (MD). Every year, MD releases different limited run seasonal food products, none of which I care about except their Dill Pickle Popcorn. It's usually available for 1-2 months max. I look forward to it all year because it is THE BEST dill pickle popcorn I've ever had in my life.

I've tried so many other brands, and none of them seem to taste like pickles. They may be slightly vinegary, with a hint of something "generally pickle." But this product tastes like Claussen pickles to me if they coated popcorn. You can taste the garlic and real dill and a smidge of onion, plus sharp vinegar. The popcorn is light and puffy like Boom Chicka Pop vs. more typical popcorn texture.

10/10. Every time. If you're in a state with MD stores, it's a must-try.

It was like a reverse Willy Wonka Golden Ticket moment. I pulled the jar off the shelf expecting to see the death knell sticker on the lid, but there was none. I blurted to the dude stocking cheese, "THIS IS WORTH A THOUSAND DOLLARS!" The rest of the jars were all new stock, sadly. But to even find one...I'll take it!

The expiration date is April 2026, which is a double jackpot because I normally let them sit sealed for several months to get more sour.

I bough it at the normal discount store chain I used to get them from (where I literally returned 5 unopened stickered jars after the first one I opened was terrible), but at a much smaller location where people evidently didn't buy them often. All mine!

Lucky day. It's the little things, you know. I don't ask for much in life.

I bought these from the Home Goods clearance section. Didn't have high hopes after the last brand of dill pickle peanuts I got there, which I tossed because they were nearly inedible. But for $3.50, I took a shot.

These were much better. You can taste some vinegary-ness and a little bit of dill. More flavor than the last brand. But not as prominent as Planters Dill Pickle Cashews flavor.

What surprised me most was how good the actual peanuts were. They were awesomely hard and crunchy--like they were freshly shelled. Most flavor-coated peanuts (honey-roasted, whatever) have softer peanuts. When you bite into these, you have to crunch and chew in the best ways. I've never had a peanut product with peanuts this good.

Total score: 7/10 (the peanuts make it almost a 7.5). Would buy again (if on clearance).

My favorite pickle peanuts are still the old Trader Joe's product that has been discontinued.

I wish so badly that I still had mine. We had a huge collection of the books, and I used to sit for hours and play with this alone, then test my dad to see if he knew things. It evolved into me buying books of lists from Waldenbooks and B. Dalton, playing endless games of Trivial Pursuit and Balderdash.

The internet is gawesome, but there was just something magical about these simple games. I miss the novelty of learning fun facts about the world before it was all at our fingertips.
