Difficulty with Armada and SteamOS

Spent the weekend trying to get Armada and SteamOS working on my Konkr Pocket Fit G3Gen3, but the Rocknix abl could never see the sdcard, nor identify the device. Not sure if its the card or something funny my Mac was doing in burning the img files, but no dice. Guess I'll be sticking to GameNative for now.

Tomb Raider 2013 on GameNative

I was finally able to get Tomb Raider 2013 running on the logitech G Cloud and was pleasantly surprised by the 30+fps. I ran it at 540p and low settings but it was playable for sure. Granted it takes up a lot of space to download and needs even more to properly get through the install, so a fresh install or an sd card of 64gb or more will be required. I tried a few times before and always ran into space issues. But since i recently did a factory reset i managed to get it installed. To date this has been the most technically advanced game I've gotten to run in the g cloud. For more games https://www.reddit.com/r/logitechgcloud/s/qG6IVsx9fv

Product Suggestion - Lenovo C700 line

I just want to make a product suggestion. Lenovo just launched the C700 in the chinese market. I recommend using the same form factor with a snapdragon g3 gen 3 in it for the global market. That opens it up for 8th generation video games  via GameNative and GameHub. 12GB RAM and 512GB storage should do the trick. Compare to Konkr Pocket Fit by ayaneo. With GameNative and GameHub I think there is a market for PC gaming enthusiasts. I prefer my konkr pocket fit over PC x86 handhelds. Android is easier to use than windows and SteamOS you could still market it as a streaming handheld in partnership with nvidia (GeforceNow), amazon (Luna), microsoft (GamePass), and sony (RemotePlay)

Hot Take: Lost Odyssey is the best Final Fantasy game

Hot Take: Lost Odyssey is the best Final Fantasy game.

Now that I have your attention. Final Fantasy X is my favorite. Beautiful music and graphics, great story, perfected turn-based battle system, and OP Yuna.

What's yours and why?

Control Ultimate Edition

Control Ultimate Edition fails to load on Gamehub for me. But loads just fine on GameNative. If I run Control from inside the Container it does boot, but the Controller doesn't work. Don't have trouble with other games.

So I'm coming from a logitech g cloud. Love those ergonomics. The Konkr being thinner and smaller is causing a hand cramp in my left hand. The TPU grip just squishes your fingers into a smaller space. I've been trying to find some other grips, no luck so far. It's an otherwise perfect device, so I'm sad to be dealing with this. I am wondering about whether I should switch to the odin 3, they have a better grip available

Konkr Pocket Fit rear buttons. Contrary to popular belief do have a default independent mapping as the "C" and "Z" buttons like a 6 button genesis, saturn, or arcade. This actually silently addresses one of my worries about the missing "magic G button" that the G cloud has, because Chiaki maps PS Home to the C button automatically

My GameNative experience on the Konkr Pocket fit. 8th Gen AAA titles work great. Its like having a portable PS4. I Usually run the games at 720p or 540p, locked to 30-40 fps with Low to Med settings to get the most out of my battery life. Changed the Balanced performance mode: CPU tunings on the high and mid cores capped at ~2.7 GHz for better thermals. I include anti-aliasing, ambient occlusion, and shadows to keep the beauty of the games intact.

  • Control
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider
  • Remnant from the Ashes
  • Chorus

Granted I have now filled up the 256MB of internal storage (PC games are big). Will have to decide what to move to my 512MB sd card, which works well now on GameNative after recent update. Thinking about purchasing Kena Bridge of Spirits once it goes on a reasonable sale again; the sequel hype raised the price. And still gotta figure out how to get my EA App Jedi Fallen Order working.

Haven't started experimenting with streaming yet, but will soon. GFN, Luna, and Chiaki are definitely on that list to try out. Coming from the Logitech G Cloud it'll be nice to have that working, with the now addition of decent off network capabilities.

All in all I am happy, but I do wish I had gotten the 512GB model, for more space. I'll end up having to juggle my games, but such is life in a Post AI world.
