Tried to share my build, but it doesn't show up?

I tried to share my build, but when i go to my profile, the completed builds is still on zero? Is there like a waiting period?

ELIF OWCS

I don't really understand how OWCS works rn. I get the NA and EMEA split, which will then face off in the playoffs (i assume), but what about Asia? are Crazy Raccoon etc just not going to play these US and EMEA teams at all?

IKEA Belgium warranty support 25+ emails with still no solution.

I wanted to share my experience with Belgian IKEA customer support. I don't really know whether I'm looking for people who share my experience or if it's just a rant.

Basically I moved to an apartment and bought most of my furniture in IKEA including the MALMÖRADE desk. After 2 days of building IKEA furniture it turned out not 1 of the 3 included monitor arms could keep my main monitor upright, even though it only weighs 3.7KG, which is well below the 7KG limit listed on IKEA's website. I called them immediately explaining the problem and the woman on the phone told me she couldn't offer much help without seeing the problem. She suggested I send an email to customer.support.be@ikea.com with a video of the problem. That's what I did and I soon got a reply saying that's not normal and that they'll look for a solution internally and contact me within 2 business days.
After 3 business days, I replied to the email with a follow-up asking why I hadn't heard from them.
I stayed polite and had hope.

The next day I got a reply asking what my follow-up was referring to, signed by a different support person. I explained that a colleague of theirs would reach out with a solution but didn't. Again no reply, so I sent another follow-up (all within the same email thread).

I think you can see where this is going, but again, someone new replied to my follow up asking for more info, so i provided my account number, the order ID number, images of the issue, the video and the receipt, as well as the previous email conversation with the first customer support agent telling me she'd get back to me within 2 business days.

To this I get another reply, this time by the same person saying that's of course not how it should go and that they'll look into it.

At some point in all of this, someone actually replied saying they had watched the video, that my warranty was approved, and that because they couldn't send the defective part separately, I would have to exchange the entire desk. Which is already kind of insane, because it's a fully built 87KG desk and the issue is with only the monitor arms. I rented a U-haul to get it to my place because I drive a Corsa... I replied saying I didn't really see that as a reasonable solution, especially since I had bought a separate monitor arm online and that immediately fixed the problem. So I asked if they could maybe compensate that arm instead, even if it was just with an IKEA voucher. After that, the whole thing somehow reset again and new support agents started asking for the same information as if none of that had ever happened.

Since then, I haven't gotten any further than "I'll look into that for you and reach back out", after which they go radio-silent and are never to be heard of again. This email thread is now 27 emails long of back and forth communication with new support agents who swear they cannot see the other emails and keep asking me to explain the problem and then say "we'll look into it" to then disappear.

In a final attempt I turned the entire thread into a PDF and sent a new email (still in the same thread), re-explaining the problem. I added that PDF and all previous attachments that were sent throughout all email traffic in hopes that I finally get a reply.

This is the absolute worst customer service experience I've had with any company before and I honestly don't know what to do anymore.

It may be dumb, but why aren't PC's built more like this?

In a more flat case so you can either rack mount it, or put feet on the PSU side and put it on it's side. the you can still access the power connector at the bottom, or have a small space next to the rear fans for it.

It might be a very dumb idea idk, but i feel like a server style case for a pc would be much more efficient than the way we cool GPU's now. Why do we not use cpu style coolers on a gpu?

I'm not in any way an electrical engineer or know much about fluid dynamics, but I feel like this idea isn't entirely stupid? (although I'm pretty sure I'm about to be told why it is)

I need a printer, against my will

I know printers aren't actually "for life" but I hate printers and I'm being forced to get one. Here's what I need:

  • cheap
  • double sided printing
  • colour doesnt matter
  • speed doesnt rlly matter
  • toner doesn't cost more than the actual printer
  • no subscription

I just want a cheap box that'll spit out a page every now and then...

Why UTR?

Is the Unifi ecosystem the main reason you guys want a UTR? Because the Beryl 7 and Beryl AX have much better specs for a similar price. No criticism, just genuinely asking why everyone seems to prefer the UTR.

Nothing special, but it’s mine and I like it

Did have to swap out the middle arm for an amazon one since the Ikea one kept pointing down. (Even though it’s supposedly rated for a 7kg monitor and that one weighs 3.7kg)

Run cable to home office

I want to run a 0.9mm fiber to my home office for my desktop, but idk if it'll work so this is a sanity check. I'd do fiber cuz my gf told me no big ugly cables through the house...

Router: UDR7 (reconfigure SFP+ port to LAN).

SFP modules: UACC-OM-SM-1G-S-2.

Cable:

And a media converter to connect my PC: UACC-AE.

The media converter is 1G SFP, while the router is 10G SFP+, would this work? Am I missing smt?

EDIT: I had selected 10G optics instead of 1G.

Replacing disks

I need to replace some disks for a client, but I'm pretty sure what he wants is impossible.
2 disk groups are unhealthy. Both had 1 flash (500GB) and 4 capacity drives (900GB).
In the first, 1 capacity drive failed, in the other 2 capacity drives failed.

He said he has spare disks, but they are 300GB. He said since we dont need all that storage, just put the 300GB's instead of the 900's but then one host has 300GB more than the other, and idk if it's even possible to swap out broken disks for a lower capacity disk in a vsan cluster?

I'm not super knowledgeable in vmware and vsan, so any help is welcome.
He said that if storage needs to be the same, replace each 900GB disk with 3 300GB disks which i shut down with the fact that there's simply no slots for another 9 drives.

Is there anything I can do beside tell him to buy disks?
I don't think i can make a new disk group since there's no flash drives.

Tailscale hate?

I keep seeing posts saying "How do i access my Jellyfin remotely without Tailscale?".
Even though it's not fully open-source and/or self-hosted, it's an amazing tool which works great, even at the free tier. Can someone explain why so many people seem to be against it?

Is it out of fear they will at some point get rid of the free plan?

Is 3 AP's too much?

I'm moving into my new apartment soon. I have cat 6 runs to the bottom left corner of the living-room, the bottom left corner of the office and the right bottom corner of the bedroom. I'd like 5GHz everywhere and just turn the 2.4 off. The walls are quite thick, and there's basically no cell reception, so I'd want the WiFi to be great. Is 2 AP's on top of the UDR7 too much? (all AP's would be on a stand, since the cable ends are quite close to the ground.

Clarification on the 2.4GHz: I just have no need for it. I have no IoT devices, and I barely ever have visitors. If I ever need it, I can create an extra ssid, it'll take 30 seconds.

The walls are pretty thick concrete, I cannot wall/ceiling mount (hence the stands) since it's a new build and the landlord has asked me not to start drilling holes the second I move in.

So I want to know if 3 AP's is sensible, or if i can get by on 2 if I do something differently, if so: what?

EDIT: Someone said 1 is probably enough, but the walls are pretty thick concrete, in my previous apartment, 10m distance and 1 concrete wall was enough to completely fuck up signal?

EDIT2: Why do I get downvoted just for seeking advice?

EDIT3: I’m not against having 2.4 available. I just don’t want it on my main SSID because some of my devices cling to it even next to a 5 GHz AP. If I ever need it, I’ll make a separate 2.4-only legacy/IoT SSID at low power.

G5 vs C5

I’m buying a tv for my new apartment, and even though I’m not nearly as into a giant setup as most in this sub (or loaded enough to afford it), I’m debating between the LG 77 inch 4K Oled C5 and G5.
I know the G5 is much brighter which would be good since the tv is in my living room and this would make daytime tv much nicer, but is it worth the 500€ price increase?

Lifting straps cause dead skin

I’ve been using lifting straps since forever, and i wash them at least once a week. But I’ve noticed that my wrists have dead skin patches on them? I lift pretty heavy with straps on both leg- and pullday, but is there anything I can do to remedy this besides moisturiser?

Finally made a network diagram

I always felt like it wasn't big or complex enough to make a diagram, but today I bit the bullet and tried my best with the very limited skills I have to visualise it. Remarks?

My home is a UDR7 with a flex mini 2.5, a flex mini (1g) and an AC Pro that i had lying around.
My PC, a 2Bay nas for jellyfin storage, a mini pc using docker for jellyfin + arr-stack + adguard + homepage and a raspberry pi for monitoring.

At my parent's place is a 3 node proxmox cluster with a 4bay nas as storage running immich (my parents do a lot of photography) and a minipc which acts as an NVR to capture the stream of a LilyGO T-Camera S3 which is a little DIY Bird cam.

It's not much, but it's mine. :)

New install broke

I just tried to install seerr for the first time, and everything seemed okay, untill i tried to open the movies tab and scrolled...

The log is full of this:
2026-05-20T08:30:24.399Z [debug][API]: Something went wrong retrieving popular movies {"errorMessage":"Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'map')"}

I'm not sure what causes this, and chatgpt and google don't seem to help me much.

Anyone with an idea of what causes this?

EDIT: SOLVED: the fix was to set a discover region to something else beside "all regions".
I'll make an issue on github I think?
