Bought these by mistake, had them with Jam and they were awful

No, I didn’t realise they were Pizza flavour until after I’d eaten them. I didn’t think to check beforehand, because why on earth would there be flavoured crumpets?

How to know when to reserve what?

I’ve been playing Cursed Legion Necrons, and I’m constantly finding that I’m not sure what I should start in reserves. Or I find during the game that I regret starting something on/off the board. I’ll include my current list below.

Most games I’ve been putting the Lokhust Destroyer unit in reserves, to come in from a board edge to kill something big. And one unit of Skorpekhs and the C’tan to rapid ingress.

I’m fairly inexperienced using the Lokhusts, I didn’t use them at all in 10th, and am only trying them out now. Most games bringing them in from a board edge feels good, and they can do their thing. But other games I find myself wishing I had them on the board from the start, and I don’t know how to decide when.

Similarly with the C’tan, most games I get a great rapid ingress, and can move and charge something the following turn. But other games I find myself wishing I had it in position a turn sooner, or there aren’t great locations to rapid. And I need help knowing how to determine that before hand.

I assume it’s a mix of the deployment zone, terrain layout, and the opponent’s army. But I’m really not sure.

Unworthy Foes - Necrons - Purge the Foe - Cursed Legion, Skyshroud Spearhead (2000 Points)

Lokhust Lord + 6 Lokhust Destroyers (240 pts)
Overlord with Translocation Shroud with Destroyer Ankh + 10 Lychguard (270 pts)
Skorpekh Lord + 3 Skorpekh Destroyers (175 pts)
Skorpekh Lord + 3 Skorpekh Destroyers (175 pts)
Technomancer with Murdermind + 6 Canoptek Wraiths (315 pts)
C'tan Shard of the Void Dragon (345 pts)
Imotekh the Stormlord - Warlord (100 pts)
Nekrosor Ammentar (185 pts)
3 Ophydian Destroyers (80 pts)
3 Canoptek Scarab Swarms (40 pts)
Canoptek Reanimator (75 pts)

Nightbringer or Void Dragon?

Presuming you have a 360 point hole in your list, and you want to include a C’tan, which would you go with?

Is the Nightbringer the better choice, or is there an argument for the void dragon too?

Any good Nightbringer painting tutorials?

I’ve got no idea what I’m doing with this. I’ve base coated with a very, very dark purple, almost black. Then drybrushed a dark greyish blue over him. And the green I did with a drybrush too.

I know I’m not going to get him to look exactly like the box, but I want to try and get as close as I can. But I’m not really sure what to do next. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Necrons Cursed Legion list advice

I’m thinking of using this list at an upcoming GT, and was hoping for advice on whether you think it’s alright. I have played Cursed Legion before in 10th, but I’ve never used Lokhust Destroyers. I don’t actually own the models, so I’m planning on proxying my LHDs as them, since they are the same base size. I don’t have enough models to run more than one unit of this.

I think the plan would be to reserve the Lokhusts and one unit of Skorpekhs. Maybe the Void dragon too, depending on matchup.

Then have the wraiths to move into the centre, with the reanimator behind for support. The lychguard to go to the expansion, and then to go for an advance and charge when there’s something in range. I’d probably have the Skorpekh on the board set up to either counter charge into the centre, or push down the flank towards the opponent’s expansion.

I did originally have Deathmarks in the list to hold my home objective, but I had 10 points spare so I upgraded to Immortals, just for the OC 2 really.

Any thoughts about what you might change?

Looking for help to improve my deployment

Hello there. I think I've got to the point where I'm fairly good at playing the game, but deployment is still an area I'm never really certain on. This map is just an example, it's Purge/Take&Hold layout C. Does this sort of thing look reasonable? Is there anything glaring you would do differently? I don't usually play on TTS, but just using it here to demonstrate. My list is Cursed Legion and Skyshroud Spearhead.

I've included the list below. The thing I'm most unsure about is the Lokhust Destroyers, they're not a unit I've used very much. I've set them up behind the lychguard here to move into the expansion to see out, or move closer towards the centre to shoot that way. I'm not sure how to really stage them, given the large footprint and not benefitting from hidden. So advice on them especially would be appreciated.

I think starting the Void Dragon in reserves makes sense, I guess on Hammer and Anvil maybe that's not the play, but I'm not too sure. I've got the deathmarks to hold the home objective, and screen out a bit. The ophydians are positioned to screen that side, and later in the game I can move them up to do secondaries. The wraiths are centre board to push forwards to hold the middle. Probably only the close one T1-2, pushing out to hold both T3?

Then I've got the lychguard with the translocation overlord on the left, to hold the expansion early, and potentially go for an advance and charge off there later if need be. I've got one unit of Skorpekhs on each flank. The righthand unit to stage in the small terrain just out my deployment, and I guess the lefthand to stay in the DZ, ready to counter charge if something attacks the wraiths. And lastly, I've got Nekrosor positioned to be near the Lokhusts for sustained. Usually when I play I leave him until last, and place him where he's going to be able to get into 3 wound elite infantry, but obviously when planning I can't take that into account.

So yeah, any feedback or advice would be appreciated!

Skorpekh Destroyer unit size in Cursed Legion

I’d have assumed Purge the Foe rewards a small number of large units, yet all the lists I see that have done well only take Skorpekh Destroyers in units of 3 with the Skorpekh Lord. Is it really just not worth going up to 6 in the unit, why’s that?

In the Breakthrough mission in the Dominatus deck, can a unit that punches through return to the battlefield?

This mission has an action you can do if you’re within 6” of the opponent’s battlefield edge and didn’t ingress that turn. And the effect of doing the action is “Your unit has punched through and is removed from the battlefield”. You then get 10 vp if you were able to do it in a given turn.

We played the Maelstrom of Battle campaign, and that had a mechanic when a unit could run away with an objective, and it was then removed from the game. Is it the same here, where the unit is just gone? Or are they just placed into reserves, to then do an ingress move and return?

Help cutting Toggo//Ich-Tekik deck down to 100 cards

I’ve managed to get it down to 115 cards, but am struggling making the last few cuts. I’m trying to lean into the abilities of both commanders: having a lot of land ramp to make rocks, and then having several golems and other ways to sacrifice artefacts to get +1/+1 counters.

I’d appreciate it if you could have a look and make suggestions for me to cut. Thanks!

I’m also not certain if the amount of lands is appropriate, I’ve gone with 39, since the deck does somewhat want landfall triggers.

Necron Tomb Citadel Walls

Made entirely out of hot glue and foam board. I’ve tried to make is as scale accurate as I can, just working off reference images online.

I haven’t built the structure that’s meant to be in the corner opposite the platform, just because the shape is a bit complex, but it’s something I’d like to work on and add in later.

Markdown syntax has stopped working

I’m on the iOS mobile app. Previously I could use basic markdown syntax to make things bold, italic, strikethrough, etc or to make inline comments, block quotes, or headers. But none of that works now.

I can see there’s now a “Aa” button above my keyboard, which lets me set things as bold, italics, etc. Which I guess works fine, but it’s not ideal, I would prefer to use markdown. And it doesn’t let me do everything I could previously. I especially miss being able to use > to make block quotes.

Is there any way I can turn this back on?

How much anti-tank do we need in a list?

I played a game playing Obeisance Phalanx where my only real anti-tank was 2 DDAs. They killed a combined total of 4 terminators between them, before a predator and a land speeder picked them up over 2 turns.

I know I got a bit unlucky, and that on average a predator and a land speeder should not outright kill a DDA, and it happened twice. And that they should probably kill more than they did. But, it happened. And afterwards there was still a unit of 6 assault terminators plus characters left in the middle that I couldn’t kill (charged lychguard in, used the precision Strat for the whole unit, and didn’t even kill the ancient) plus a rep ex and a dreadnaught, as well as the aforementioned land speeder and predator.

Do I just have to run at least one C’tan in every list? I feel like LHDs are way too squishy to be a reliable include

Why is Kier Starmer resigning?

Sorry if this isn’t the right place to ask, but I wasn’t sure where else.

I’m not someone who follows politics particularly much, so please forgive my ignorance. I did see in the news recently about Andy Burnham wanting to challenge the leadership of the party, and then today saw that Kier Starmer has decided to step down.

But what was Starmer actually doing wrong that’s made him unpopular? I was under the impression things were going broadly well since the Labour government took over, are there issues with the leadership that I’m not aware of?

How do the new sequencing rules work with Yield Points in round 1?

In 10th edition if you went second, the opponent could chose to sequence the gaining or yield points to happen before OC was checked, since they both happen at the end of the phase. Denying you the 1 yield point for their first turn.

How will this work in 11th? The rules for sequencing don’t have a section for core rules that don’t belong to either player, like checking objective control. How do you think this should be handled?

Looking for help upgrading Omnath deck to Bracket 4

Hi, I have a 5 colour [[Omnath, Locus of All]] deck, I think it’s pretty decent as is, but is very much high bracket 3 in power level, as opposed to bracket 4. It’s already the strongest deck I have made, but I want to be able to play at bracket 4 tables.

I know the mana base isn’t great, and once I can afford to do so I will replace the tapped duals with shocks, and perhaps add more fetches.

But aside from the manabase, what else could I do to help improve the power of the deck? Are there any obvious cuts to make, any obvious omissions? Is this a good balance or removal spells?

Thank you very much

Harridan list help.

I’ve got one last tournament for 10th edition, and I thought I’d go out with a bang, taking one of each of our aircraft.

The 3 aircraft, the Winged Tyrant, and the Parasite are all non-optional, the wings on them all are painted beautifully, and that’s the whole reason I’m running this list. I’m well aware this is about as sub-optimal as you can go, without resorting to 6 nested Tyrannocytes. But the point is to have fun. If I can win just a single game with it, I’ll be very happy.

So that only leaves 725 points left to cobble together something that will turn this into a functioning list.

I was thinking a Norn would be a good idea, just to have something tanky to sit on the expansion. A biovore is a no brainier. But what else would you include?

I’ve put together something I thought could work below, but what do you think? Advice would be appreciated.

First unit of Hormagaunts finished

I’m a very slow painter, it takes me about 2 hours to do each model. But I got through it, they’re done. And, they’re beautiful. Really happy with how they look. C&C welcome

You can’t really see in the photos, but all the black sections (mouth, eyes, vents, joints) are painted with a gloss varnish. The concept was porcelain legion Tyranids, with the black representing the phyrexian oil.

I’ve lost access to a parking space at home.

I live in a flat on the high street of the town I’m in, and there’s a small car park with about 20-30 spaces behinds the flats. When I moved in, and until recently, there were about 10 spaces cordoned off for residents in a specific other building, about 10 spaces marked as being for employees of specific businesses, and about 10 unmarked spaces.

I was aware I didn’t have any particular right to use the car park, but it’s never busy, there’s always plenty of spaces. It’s sort of hidden away, so the general public wouldn’t find it when looking for parking in town. So for the past 2 and a half years I’ve parked there, in one of the unmarked spaces.

Until last week, when signs went up all around the car park, saying that a permit was now required to park anywhere, and they’d be a PCN (ticket) given to unpermitted cars. I did enquire, and there’s no option for me to buy a permit to park there. So I’m just out of luck.

I’ve moved my car to a nearby estate, with lots of on-street parking, but that can’t be a permanent solution. I’m probably just going to have to get rid of my car, until I can move elsewhere.

I always knew there was a risk of something like this happening, but I’m between jobs at the moment, so it’s really unfortunate timing.
