how do you keep track of estimate requests without losing them?

I post before and after photos on instagram and facebook and get DMs asking for quotes, plus texts from referrals, plus whatever comes through my website. When I'm mid job I loose track of all these things since im not on my phone.

Any one else have this issue? and if so has anything worked for you?

how do you actually keep track of estimate requests without losing them?

Question for other GCs/remodelers. Between running a job site, coordinating subs, and actually doing the work, estimate requests come in constantly — a text, an Instagram DM after someone sees a before/after post, a form fill on the website, a referral call. By the end of a long day I've got requests scattered across four different places and I genuinely lose track of who I already called back and who I haven't.

I know it's cost me at least a couple jobs — not because my price was wrong, just because someone else got back to them faster.

Curious what everyone else actually does here. Spreadsheet? Notebook? One of the big platforms like Buildertrend or JobNimbus? Or is everyone just running on memory and hoping nothing slips?

how do you keep track of who you still need to quote or follow up with?

question for other handymen. I get requests through so many different channels — a text after someone sees my truck, a Facebook Marketplace message, a Nextdoor post, sometimes Angi — and with how many small jobs I'm juggling at once, it's way too easy to lose track of who I already quoted, who's still waiting to hear back, and who I straight up forgot to respond to.

I know I've lost at least a few jobs just from being slower to reply than whoever else they reached out to, not because of price or availability.

What do you all actually use to stay on top of this? Just memory and hoping for the best? A notebook? Something like Jobber or Housecall Pro? Curious if this is a universal headache or if I'm just bad at keeping myself organized.

Working on a free card - rips pack game

working on a free card rips pack like arena club and triumph, ive always loved these games but never wanted to spend the money so I came up with an idea that is based on coins with mini games to win coins. Its still very much in beta and right now it is wnba and nba card only. Id appreciate it if some people can test it out and let me know there thoughts. Is this something people are interested in? Is it a stupid idea? Thank you!

What are you working on?

I love vibecoding. As someone with a bit of a computer science background, I love how much easier it makes it to actually build my ideas. A lot of the things I wanted to create before were honestly too advanced for me to build on my own.
I also love seeing what other vibe coders are working on, so drop a link below and I’d love to check out your projects.
I’ll go first:
Ad Swap: https://ad-swap.web.app
A simple way for websites to promote each other. You add another website’s ad to your site, and they add yours to theirs, giving both sites free exposure and traffic.
WNBA Arcade: https://wnba-arcade.com
WNBA trivia, live stats, schedules, team history, and more.
Both of these were built using Claude Code and Firebase, with the domains managed through GoDaddy and the sites deployed on a Hetzner server.
Excited to see what everyone else is building!

Built a free WNBA trivia/games site as a fan project - daily player-guessing game, GM mode, more

Wanted to share something I've been working on ,WNBA Arcade a free fan-made hub of WNBA games — a daily "who's this player" guessing game, a GM/superteam draft mode, quizzes, plus schedules/ odds/standings if you just want to check those. No account needed.
Built it because I couldn't find anything like this for the W (there's a ton of this stuff for NBA/NFL fantasy but not much on the women's side). Genuinely open to feedback — what would make this more useful for actual W fans, what's missing, etc.

Built a free ad-swap for small sites with basically no traffic (mine included)

l've got a couple small side projects, my main one being wnba-arcade.com ,that get modest traffic, and buying/selling ads never made sense at that scale especially for my main project wnba-arcade.com
— nobody's going to pay for a banner on a site doing a few hundred visits a week, and I'm not going to pay either.
So 1 built a tiny reciprocal ad network instead: you paste one embed on your site, it shows a random other member's ad, and your ad starts showing on theirs. No money changes hands, no minimum traffic, no dashboard full of metrics you don't need. Just small sites sending each other a trickle of visitors.
It's at ad-swap.web.app
if anyone wants to poke at it or add their site. Two things I'd genuinely like feedback on:
- the embed is a plain iframe so it doesn't need any
CSP changes on your end — curious if that actually matters to anyone here or if I overbuilt it
- right now approval is manual (me, checking the widget is actually live on your site) - fine at this size, obviously won't scale, not worried about that yet
Not trying to sell anything, just have a handful have real ones than a big number. Happy to answer questions!!

[Beta] Free reciprocal ad-swap for small sites — looking for a few more sites to join

What it is: A tiny ad network for sites too small to buy or sell ads normally. You paste one embed on your site, it shows a random other member's ad, and your ad starts showing on theirs. No money, no minimum traffic.

Link: ad-swap.web.app

Stage: Live, a handful of real members so far, still rough around the edges — approval is manual right now (I check the widget's actually live on your site before letting you into the pool).

Who I'm looking for: Anyone running a small site (side project, tool, blog, whatever) with room for one small ad unit, who wants a bit of trickle traffic from other small sites instead of paying for ads that don't make sense at low volume.

What I want feedback on:

- The embed is a plain <iframe> specifically so it doesn't need any CSP changes on the host site — if you've got a site with a strict CSP, curious whether that actually mattered or if I solved a problem nobody has

- Whether the "paste it before you submit" flow (you see your exact embed code before filling out the form) feels obviously better than the usual "submit then get your code" order, or if it's a distinction nobody cares about

- Anything that feels broken, confusing, or missing for a first-time visitor

Not trying to sell anything — just want a few more real sites in the pool and honest feedback on where it falls over.

Built a free tool so small sites can advertise each other instead of paying for ads — feedback wanted

I run a couple small side projects and got tired of ad networks either rejecting low-traffic sites or paying out pennies. So I built Ad Swap — a barter-style exchange where small sites show each other's ads instead of money changing hands.

How it works: you submit your site name, URL, and a short tagline, get manually reviewed (no bots auto-approving spam sites), then drop in one script tag. It shows a rotating ad from another approved member, and your site starts showing up on theirs.

Still early — mostly indie/hobby projects in the network right now. Would love feedback from anyone who's tried similar swap/barter approaches before, or thoughts on what would make this actually useful vs. another dead directory.

Link in comments if anyone wants to look / join — didn't want to lead with a URL.)
