£40 on a jumble stall!

I saw this beauty glimmering out of the corner of the gazebo and knew I had to have it. It still works and has the original remote! Gave it a little wipe down and it's in great condition considering it's from 1983. Now I've got to try to haul this monster up to my bedroom so wish me luck.

£5 in a charity shop

Saw this beauty peeking out at me from a high shelf in an Age UK and had to snag it. Not sure how much it’s actually worth but it’s a wonderful part of my memorabilia collection now!

Massive fire in my village

About 16:00 this afternoon my mum smelled smoke and within seconds the house was filled with smoke so we had to immediately close all the windows and bring in the washing. The air is so thick with smoke and you can barely see 50 metres and you can’t breathe outside. I went into the street with a gas mask on and immediately got covered in ash too. The fourth fire engine has just arrived and the firemen are asking to get inside our houses to get a better view of where it’s spreading from upstairs. Everyone’s moving their cars to let the firemen through and some people are evacuating; it’s mental. The fire is in a field and they don’t know what started it but we’ll know soon hopefully. Stay safe, people!

Guys, it's always worth telling people you like CDs!

I was literally having a conversation with one of my dad's yoga students the other day and casually mentioned I collect CDs and she said her daugher had a collection she didn't listen to anymore, and a week later I am now the owner of said collection and this cool rack! My auntie and uncle are also currently in the process of looking for their CDs so I can have them. Most people don't listen to CDs anymore but a lot of them still have their old collections, so it's always worth letting people know just in case they happen to be generous.

The person at Morrisons that came up with this might just be a genius

I didn’t get it because I was alone and not that hungry but I was so intrigued. Probably not even the best value but the novelty is just through the roof with this!

Some CDs my parents passed down to me!

I was downloading songs for £1 each from iTunes until I discovered my mum and dad's incredible collection in the garage. They said I could literally have what I wanted because they don't listen to them anymore so here's some of the first ones I grabbed.

Found a Monopoly set from World War 2 for £20 at a car boot

I believe I’ve reached the pinnacle of British car boot finds. I stumbled upon this beauty at a stall selling watches and knew I had to take it home. Wooden dice, purple £100 notes and all: it’s definitely the coolest Monopoly set I’ve ever seen.

Bought the wartime edition set for £20 at a car boot sale

Stumbled across it on a stall selling old watches and knew I had to get it. I couldn’t believe the price since it was less than most modern sets. I have the Beatles and Peterborough sets but this is definitely the absolute coolest Monopoly set I own!
