No bake lemon blueberry cheesecake. I normally bring savory sides like Mac n cheese, or street corn casserole. My first attempt ever at a dessert. Hopefully everyone is to high or drunk to notice if it didnt come out good😂

1/2 pounder on Onion roll

Salt, pepper and garlic powder. Onions burnt more than I like but still delicious. Beef bacon, cheese and some waffle fries. Cooked another unseasoned patty for the pups who were to busy swimming to even care😂

Here i was thinking I got almost everything

So i finally made it ALMOST to Saito. Jubei and Oyuki are supposedly being held. I an make it about 10- 15 kills in then the Black gaurd come in and I get wasted. I have been playing this game fairly slow enjoying the entire open world and I thought i had gotten almost everything. I couldn't have been more wrong😂😂. I decided to pull off of rescuing Jubei and Oyuki and start at the bottom of the map and wear the robes of Sitturaynu and play the vanity song working my way back uptrend map collecting the couple things I thought i might have missed. I am barely iff the bottom of the map and have been lead to about 20 things i missed. Here I thought i was doing pretty good on collecting everything LOL. I'm also doing this because I'm going to be sad when the game is over.

Lucy

I haven't been able to stand her since season 1. I am currently season 2 ep 3 on my first watch of the show. The way she treated Margaret made me feel like she got what she deserved. She just got caught reading the script into the mirror and as much as i still cant stand her.....I'm starting to feel bad for her. Nelson is friggen deranged lol.

Quick Question

I play backgammon on a couple different apps. There is one app in particular that I wind up with a lot of players who speak Farsi. The option to chat is there but it's rarely used. When I capture them and block all exits they cuss me out and call me a cheater and POS player and I dont play properly. I will screen shot their chat and ask google to translate. So I began to think many in other countries outside the USA that there is an etiquette thing i don't know about. I began to purposely not completely close out my side when I had them captured to see and sure enough, they completely block off any escape for me when I am captured. Im guessing its just poor sportsmanship but I figured I would ask here if there is some unwritten rule of etiquette i was unaware of. They will cuss me out, then leave until timer runs out and I get the W.

Loved both games

Still in the heart of Yotei so no spoilers please in the comments >!I just had the revelation of The Kitsune and Oyuki. Covered it in case someone isnt to this point yet. I knew something was up with her just didnt know what!< I am sure this being a Yotei community most here like this game better. Let me just say I LOVED Tsushima. But the story was mediocre at best.....for me. I hated the whole I will let myself and everyone I love die rather than break my code. Do I understand it? Yes....but throughout Tsushima there was a couple times at least where Jin's Uncle overlooked his ways even though he didnt approve of them. The hypocrisy of those few times annoyed the hell out of me. There were more than a few times in Tsushima where it went into story mode and I just wanted to play. Every time Yotei does it...i am all into the story. I know I am going to lose someone or something....i know these games. If I lose another horse after RDR2 and Tsushima I am going to lose my shit lol. Still in friggen Act 1. I dont know how many acts there are and they may be the only thing that got spoiled on me was that the game is broken up into acts. I cant get enough of this game right now!!!

KC Combo still going strong

Got this at Walmart when they mis priced it in the fall for $150 5 years ago. Everyone told me it was garbage. First of all for $150 I didn't really care. I have used this 3-5 times a week since I got it and the only thing I had to replace was the dan just a few weeks ago. I love the ease of pellet smokers but thinking about getting a wood smoker for the other side of the patio. Here's breakfast today. Happy grilling/smoking all!!

Takezo duel atop the mountain

35 minutes and the best i can do is get to the point where he says " let's make this duel unforgettable" if I am lucky enough to get one more shot in it starts snowing real hard and 1 hit from him and I am dead. Im looking at my gear and it seems I last the longest with bounty hunter gear and charms that inflict a little more damage. I just noticed my Yari hasn't been upgrade at all so I am finally conceding and going to go upgrade my Yari. I start the battle off with a lightning strike with dual Satan's, switch to yarn and a couple good parrys and i can do a triple attack. If I am luck I get 3 or 4 of them in before he gets me 1 time and wipes my health out even if I am at 100% . This is the first fight I have had to pull away from because I am just not making any headway. Everyother one that took 5 or more tines I stuck with until I beat them. This dude is TOUGH

Am I missing something?

OK, so i am only about 15 hours in and im not trying to ask a bunch of questions, its more fun figuring it out. That being said, i have been searching for over an hour to see if there is a way around this rock slide. The way the map is , it looks like Atsu should be able to get in there. Is there a way into the mountains that I am not seeing? I have been up and down the edges leading up to it,played her instrument, bowed ... .lol, im out of ideas.

Having trouble getting started

So i just finished Ghost of Tsushima a few days ago and took a breather before starting Ghost of Yotei. I don't really want to search this thread for what i am looking for because I dont want any spoilers if I can help it. RDR2 got spoiled for me and was still amazing even knowing the ending so if it happens it happens , but not trying to let it happen.

My question is for those who played GoT before GoY. Did muscle memory from that game make it take awhile for you to get used to this game? Im an older gamer( just retired) and just bought the ps5 GoY edition and one of my buddies said I had to play Tsushima first which I did. I finally got the yellow glint down pretty good but I am having a hard time with the rest of the actions. I think i keep trying to use the controller the way I did in GoT and its making combat awkward. Haven’t gamed much in last 20 years or so and in the last 7 months ive finished gta5,RDR,RDR2, amazing Spiderman, dark knight trilogy. GoT was side by side with RDR2 for best games I've ever played and I cant wait for Yotei to finally click ( I'm only about 2 hours in). Im not looking to rush through it, just curious if it was difficult for anyone else to get comfortable with the controls going straight fron GoT to GoY. Or maybe its because i just turned 57 and my brain doesn't work as well anymore. LOL

A simple dinner

Sous vide a ribeye at 135° for 2 hours then gave it a quick sear after a 15 min rest in the fridge. Sliced up a potato and threw em in cast iron. Nothing fancy, but it was delicious!!

Ribeye and potato

135° for 2 hours then put my smoker on high and opened the heat shield for a sear. Dried the rib eye and put it in the fridge for 20 minutes before giving it a sear.

Question about the ending

So i just finished the game about 10 minutes ago. >!I am pretty sure i am in the majority that spared Jin's uncle. Just under 100 hours into the game and I felt like it would be breaking character killing him. Thats just how I feel, im not saying anyone that killed him is playing wrong because i can see the reasoning in that as well, just not as much as sparing him. I would definitely give him his warriors death on 2nd playthrough but that wont be for sometime. My question is....how Jin reflects when he gives him a warriors death.!< now.....off to Yōtei

Iki island

Iki island has some of the toughest terrain. Also, some of the most gorgeous!! Im not even sure where it was but these neon pink trees just left me standing there looking around for 20 minutes. I used the travelers attire to get all the Sakai banners and im thinking cool...they are pretty close to each other!! 😂😂 took me 2 1/2 hours to get them all and then when I got the last one I had to go to the undiscovered area next to me that turned out to be the monkey sanctuary. Man.....i thought finding the horse armor was tough!! Im burnt out for the night. Iki ...as gorgeous as it is wore me out!! Im a little bit into the 3rd act so after I got the fire sword I decided to use the travelers attire to find everything before I continue. Sakai banners and crickets are all I've done so far. This game is so good on so many levels!!

This game has moments that hit you in the feels out of nowhere

Think i am real close to the end of act 2. >! I got imprisoned right before I crashed last night and 6am and im firing this thing up to see what happens. Its like I had to pause in the middle of an epic movie last night. I was all ready to go get my stuff back from yuna. Since i am in act 2 I was not expecting to lose Nobu. I almost made a pist on 3 of my favorite things in this game a few days ago. 1) the thumb flick releasing the sword before a duel. I dont care how many times he does it, i smile every time. 2)when Nobu nuzzles up after completing a tale or mission 3) when we come back and Jin is sleeping against Nobu. Escaping imprisonment just hit me in the feels. Had to pause and come out and have a smoke. Rest easy Nobu. Man that hit harder than I thought it would, but i wasn't even expecting it. !<

Anyone know if this is the fan?

So i have a pitboss kc combo. I'm outside tipping a few back while the smoker is going most of the time. I clean it damn good with a shop vac and scraped every other to every 3rd smoke depending on length of smokes. Normally, when I set it at 225, it climbs to 235, 240 then settles down. I am not positive...but i swear I used to be able to hear the fan running to. All of a sudden I have smoke coming out of the hopper box and nothing coming out of the stack. I can see through the grate...the fan is spinning. But I cant hear it anymore. Also...the auger is cranking on and off almost non stop and the temp us staying right at 224-226. No more high swings that give the auger a rest while temp comes down. Is it possible for the fan to be working but not good enough? I always thought they just seized up. But this one is spinning still. Im thinking its to weak to circulate the air and the smoke is coming back up through the pellet hopper. Does this sound like a fan issue?

Whole chicken

Smoked at 350 for 2 hours 15 minutes. Didn't open it once, no basting. Garlic, salt, pepper and some paprika. Skin was crispy as hell. I usually spatchcock but was feeling lazy as hell and just tossed it in smoker. Came out juicy and amazing!!

Loving it!!

OK, so I just bought a ps5 a couple weeks ago, the white and black Ghost of Yotei edition. My buddy recommended Ghost of Tsushima before I play Yotei. After being amazed by the graphics, I started getting a little bored with how much story and how little I got to play. I stuck it out and I'm glad I did, doing all this and not having as much backround as I got from all the story telling would have lessened why I was in each battle and what that battle meant. It took me a long time to get used to battle since im fairly new back to gaming. I just retired and haven't really played to much in last 20 years. Finished RDR2,GTA5 and a few others since I retired and wanted a ps5 for when GTA6 came out.

After I liberated 19 of the 24 on IZUHARA I got a little bummed tgat battles were do easy. I couldn't get to Toyotama by land so I tried swimming and made it!! I have only liberated 1 there when I found a boat and went to IKI. I was getting annihilated there and there was no way to leave LOL. I finally figured out that I have to kill the Shaman. Once I figured that out everything went much smoother and I thought i didn't have much more to learn. This whole time I thought I knew how to parry, turns out I might have done it on accident a few times and that's it. Now I know how to parry and loving it even more. What a great story....great graphics. Once I got past comparing it to RDR2 I was able to soak it up and enjoy it so much more. 37 hours in and still only liberated 2 on IKI, still have 7 or 8 to liberate on Izuhara, and I've only liberated 1 on Toyotama. I have read this game is 25-60 hours and another 15 if you do IKI. Maybe i am just to new to gaming because I don't foresee doing this in under 100hrs. 25 seems impossible just with the amount of storytelling going on that you cant skip.

Side question.....how do you all do these games and go to work?? Would take me a year to finish!
