I thought long pants and shirt would keep the POR off me, lol
Today i went full paint suit and *still* got some on the one spot not covered! My partner's truck looks good though, even if it is a fruitless attempt to delay New England rust, lol

2 cans dark red kidney beans
2 cans black beans
2 large cans tomato sauce
3 large fresh tomatoes
2 large green peppers
1 large yellow pepper(or whatever, its mostly for color variety, lol)
1 medium onion (i didnt have one this time, so i used onion powder to taste)
3 decent sized jalapeños
3lbs ground beef (or chicken, turkey, or some other ground protein)
Spices to taste: salt, black pepper, tabasco habanero, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, paprika, molasses and 1/4 cup brown sugar
Optional:
Approximately half a jar of *candied* jalapeños- these little buggers are great if you feed people that dont care for a lot of heat, but still want a little kick in their chili, and theyre awesome on everyyything! burgers, subs, pizza, or whatever!
To cook:
Rinse and put all the beans in a large pot, followed by the 2 cans of tomato sauce, then dice up your veggies and throw them in, and put it on the burner while you brown the protein. When the ground is almost cooked through, drain off fat, add chili powder, paprika, salt and pepper, mix well, then add to pot. Add other spices to taste (chili is interesting because the longer it cooks, the more the taste changes, ive found that boiling it for a bit, 20 minutes or so, then spicing, then letting it simmer for at least an hour before tasting again is the best way.) So start out conservative with the spices, sprinkle, mix, simmer and taste until you get the flavor you desire. If its too spicy brown sugar will dial it back, too sweet and a bit of white vinegar usually does the trick
Simmer at least 3 hours and enjoy! Chili is one of my favorite dishes to cook, Ive never thought to write down how i make it, i usually experiment quite a bit when making it. Speaking of!!! Maple syrup ( the real stuff ladies, not brown corn syrup) is a terrific alternative to brown sugar!
Bonus pic of the girl she was with :3
Me and my purple power ranger are happy to be here!
and yes, I'm quite ashamed of my battlecry count :(
I went out to a sporting goods shop to see about replacing a pair of boots my puppy ate, and usually check out their gun area, then buy a box of each round type I use, but I havent been shooting in, ohhh 2 or 3 years lol. The result is a growing trove of ammo that longs to be used.
can't wait for future updates
But when i do, its because i just replaced a soap dispenser and thought the girl in the mirror looked cute!
(Repost because the level with my company name was in view, lol)
Good morning pretty people in my rectangle! Ive been on HRT for right around a year, and after sooo much stressing and worrying about it, I finally told my supervisors last week! :) They were both very supportive and my senior boss actually took me aside a couple days ago to thank me for feeling comfortable enough to share this aspect of my life, and to discuss moving forward with informing the rest of the staff. I work on the non clinical side of a small hospital, so I hope people will be fairly empathetic. I drafted out an email, which my super like more than the one he had drafted, he's going to wait until the next time I take a vacation, most likely the end of this month, and send it out on my behalf. That way I can come back and the rumor mill will have worn itself out, lol
Here it is!
Good morning everyone
It has been my pleasure to work for [hospital] for 5 years, and I take great pride in being here. It is because of the caring, empathy, and compassion synonymous with [hospital] that I finally feel comfortable with a truth I have denied since I was a teenager; that I am transgender. I began the process of medically transitioning a year ago, after coming out to my partner and close family, who are understanding and supportive.
I understand this may be a surprise to people, and that society sometimes struggles with life journeys that are different from what most consider traditional. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to reach out to me. People are welcome to use pronouns they are most comfortable with, it is not my intent to make anyone uncomfortable, or to force them to embrace something they disagree with. With that said, my commitment to serving the patients and staff is unchanged, thank you for helping make [hospital] a place where everyone can feel welcome.
Sincerely,
Me!
She came with the bike, previous owner said he'd added her years ago, she's been to Sturgis and Daytona
In my younger days I was a line cook, sometimes i like to make takeout instead of ordering it :)
Sadly im lactose intolerant and cant have steak and cheese :'(
My wife took this picture and really likes it, but all I see are my masculine traits. Big forehead, big nose, adam's apple, am I being hypercritical?
And i did it as a woman! :D
I got the truck 6 years ago, before my egg cracked. I spent the winter of 2020 fixing the body and doing a bunch of work to make it road worthy, I drove it a couple years, but when the odometer flipped back to 00000 for what I think is the third time, I decided to park it, pull the engine and rebuild it, replacing the clutch at the same :)
I wanted a swing arm holder for my steam deck, so i made one out of parts of a lamp and a snare drum stand.
2 labor days ago I came home with this truck for 6500, after passing on a similar plow truck that had bad frame rot. As I expected, it needed pads and rotors all the way around, one front caliper, one wheel bearing, both exhaust manifolds, a muffler and winter tires. Other than the tires I did all the work. Then I patched one bed side and got the summer wheels in January. Its been 100% reliable, I use it to plow in the winter and we haul our camper in the summer.
It wasnt the truck I was planning on buying, but Im glad things worked out the way they did. Even with the cost of parts I came in under the 11k I was going to spend on the other truck. Hopefully I wont have to go truck shopping again for a looong time.
