I personally think the clean lines on the titanium big date are the best dial.. I wish they would have made every model with this cleaner dial.
I had the green one originally and I didn't wear it much. Something just always felt a little off about it . Almost unfinished.. after picking up this titanium version it is completely changed my mind on this watch and I wear it a ton. Of course the lighter titanium makes it a little nicer to wear more often and the more neutral color but it's mostly because I enjoy looking at it a lot more.
Nothing wrong with the other ones just my hot take. I think they would have sold more if they had used the style for all of them .
I've tried for years to like G-Shocks and I just can't get into resin watches. I've bought a few and I mostly never wear them and I usually just sell them or give them away. I fully understand they are affordable and that is how they are built.. I have no problem with any of that for some reason I just couldn't get into them.
And then I stumbled across the full metal today in person and I was like yes. This is what I've been looking for in a shock. It is more polished than I would prefer and I think a gunmetal or more titanium looking version would really kill it however I accept it for what it is and I truly love it. Full shininess and all
The number one thing I love about it? Besides the full metal obviously.. holy crap this screen is perfect. So I can view it at almost any angle. And if I put my sunglasses on I absolutely can view it at any angle outside even with the sun glaring directly on it. It's brilliant to look at with sunglasses on and I'm somebody who has light sensitive so I have sunglasses on 99% of the time I'm outside. Really really impressed with the screen and viewing angles .
Found this ice diver while traveling on a solo outdoor trip through California. Got it a pretty decent amount under retail brand new with warranty. Absolutely love the dial. Still getting used to the oversized case 🤣
Pretty blown away by this watch. For $500 bucks it's really making me question my way more expensive purchases. Miyota movement. Perfect. fine. love it. Have zero issues with a miyota movement. I am not a movement snob by any means. Sure when I spend a lot of money I want something maybe in-house or chronometer certified or regulated but generally speaking if it runs well that's all I care about.
The dial is absolutely stunning . Changes colors in so many different ways . Has a touch of the Seiko mojito in it but this color is just wow . Probably my favorite color of blue I've seen in a watch. Sapphire crystal on front and back. And on the fly micro adjust. For freaking 500 bucks.
This is the first microbrand purchase I've ever had where I was like wow'd when I opened the package. Most of them I've sold or haven't worn very much. I do not believe that'll be the case with this one
I'm usually not a huge fan of Roman numerals but this one does it very subtly. They have a few dials without the Roman numerals but not in this blue color that I wanted.
Have had some Bowers and Wilkins DM604s with really old subs for years. Decided I was ready for new sounds. First I upgraded my 2 subs to Episode Mega D Dual 10s. So now I have 4 10s. Front Left and back right. I'm a dealer for episode and they are mostly known for more contractor grade stuff. However they really killed it on their Mega D line of subwoofers. Great look, great sound, built in room correction and wireless eq. Huge step up from my old MK subs .
After improving the low end so much I decided to go with monitor speakers instead of tower speakers. So glad I did. Martin Logan XT B100. First speaker I've ever had where I didnt what to turn the treble up. Very vocal and instrument forward with great separation. In all fairness it's probably only a 5% increase in sound quality over by BWS but they are much less boomy on certain tracks and I love the looks a lot better.

Not the craziest amount of loom . But very bright and I've always enjoyed the blue and green combo
Walked into a watch shop in Scottsdale a couple weeks ago and fell in love with this beauty. 38 mm conquest. They wanted full retail and I wasn't quite prepared to pay that at the time. So I thought about it a bit and hopped on eBay and found this used in excellent condition. Got it for like 40% under retail which I feel like is a very good price for excellent used.
Happy to finally have a blue watch in the collection although boy it turns almost purple in certain lights . Very nice

You own a silver dial Tag quartz chrono Aquaracer. You then later pick up a Seiko prospex GPS watch when you THINK you're going to the AD to get an astron. (Same movement inside it and just liked it better than the astrons). And finally you didn't realize that the Mido TV big date came in full titanium so you decide to bring that in to check it out. So now I have some very similarish looking watches. Do you:

(Seiko stays)
A) return the Mido
B) sell the Tag
C) Yolo and just have 3 awesome silver dials and wear them for different occasions.

I apologize if this is off topic and I don't know anything about the accounting world. My niece just passed her last CPA exam and I wanted to get her some sort of congratulations gift. Budget I'm not sure of nothing crazy expensive but just something that might be useful or related to accounting that would be a good gift. Any ideas?
Typically into mechanical watches like most of us. However lately I've really been giving quartz watches some love and enjoying them. Especially solar.

Well walked into a local AD and started thinking about the Astrons and this was in the same case. It's not titanium but something about the Speedtimer look (and cheaper price lol) spoke to me over the Astrons.

I'm sure I'll wear this for many occasions but I really had in mind when I travel via plane or car across different time zones which is quite frequently.
After tax and everything all in I got this for well under $500 out the door. Pretty hard to beat a Laco on bracelet at that price. I believe it's a Laco 2S movement which is just their alteration of a miyota .

Lume is phenomenal. Fairly big watch but that's okay I don't have too many big watches. Don't mind having a couple in the rotation.
I have mostly been into dive watches and cushion cases. Definitely my favorite style of watches. I have some of the usual suspects but typically I like to find things that are a little outside of the norm. Starting to try to banch out a little more though. Just picked up the max bill and thinking about maybe The Ctizen for my blue dial. Anyways most of these watches are in that $500 to $2,000 range for what I spent on them at least.. that's kind of the range of washes I like to buy. Sure I could have a pretty awesome three watch collection if I had put all the money into just a few watches but I think there's some incredible value in that $500- $2,000 range. With the exception being the green aquaracer that I bought for my 40th birthday. But I did get it used.
