Danke!!

Just got these cool 3x7 shimano STI brake/shift levers , NOS

Nothing flashy but will be nice on a build for just $40. However they’re a bit gummed up , I guess because they’re old and the lubricant has solidified.

Is wd40 flush the best way to wake them up again?

Thanks

XT V brake arm stiff actuation after cleaning and lubing

The left side is not smooth and actuates in a very cumbersome way in comparison to all other threee arms

I sprayed it down with degreaser , warm water flush, then oiled the pivots but it still isn’t moving smoothly

I get that it’s an old item, problem 30+ years old. But is there a way to bring this back to life ? Will it “work in” over time on the bike ?

Thanks

Where does this mount and what hardware do I need to mount it ?

I assume on a stem? And I guess I have no chance of finding something to clamp it on …. Unfortunately I just got this part in a bin of stuff so don’t know/have more

Anyone else cut off this ugly stand on their Tern Vektron?

I know it’s for supporting when folding but I think I would manage fine without it and it’s a pain getting over the small threshold of my stairs as it constantly smashes it …. Plus it is ugly.

Anyone have luck removing it gracefully ?

Thanks

I don’t get the difference between the two , what’s the incentive to extend today if the device is already free in the first option?

Danke !

I saw there’s a new store in Vienna, has anyone brought in an old piece to get repaired ? If so, how was the process? Obviously they don’t repair at the store but I guess they handle the process for you

My roommate wants bagless so prefers to not get the LXT (even though I have LXT batteries ….)

I want to accommodate, but I’m skeptical . Is the CXT decent for simply home use? Small flat nothing heavy duty

Thanks . And tool snobs, please go easy ;)
