I want ot get a pair of glasses with a camera built into them to record when I am working on my bike. This way once I take everything apart, and something is not right when I am putting it back, I can look at the video and figure out.

But I need lenses, so was wondering if I buy a Glasses with video, where can I get the lenses replaced economically.

I am ok with plastic lenses.

OR is there a place I can buy plastic lenses, I am happy to myself jerry rig the lenses into the frame.

I am not going to be using these lasses as my primary glasses, or even for riding. These are for occasional use ue while working on my bike to record me taking stuff off.

I am looking to get really cheap camera glasses like 30-40 bucks form Temu or Aliexpress. An then put cheap lenses in them. But all I can see are like $100+ costs for putting in lenses.

I was tinkering with my Portal TV with immortal installed. I was trying to see which all streaming apps will work on it. I was using Aurora store to install apps.

Which worked

Disney, Hoopla, Peacock, Plex, Starz, Tubi, VLC

HBO worked, but I could not get its icon to show on the screen, it would launch and work from the Aurora store page

What did not work

Netflix (refused to install)

Xfinity Stream (refused to install)

The SURPRISE: Kodi, this app is a gem. I found that the Kodi interface better to use than the native home and the immortal home page.

Go to the Kodi Android app screen and lo behold , you see many hidden apps.

Camera app: works very well, connected the Portal TV output to a cheap USB 3.0 HDMI Capture card and I am gettign 1080P video with very good frame rate. Worked in Zoom too.

Browser: Needed browser to use a streaming website. Portal TV has a Vewd browser. I tried Firefox and all other browsers , all refused to install. I tried to install Cromite browser from Immortal webpage (it does no show up in the app store on Immortal Portal TV), it failed to install.

But Chromium browser is visible in the Kodi Android apps page and it works :)

HBO also shows up here and works.

All the setting apps also work better through Kodi.

I now just have to figure out how to make Kodi as the default boot up app.

I saw that another user had talked about using a remote with portal devices, so searched and found my old Ugoos UR02 BT Remote that I had planned to use with my Google TV (Onn 4k) box.

It paired easily and successfully with my Portal GO and works pretty well:

1. Volume + /- , Mute works
2. Screen sleep works (power button turns off the screen)
3. Channel up down scrolls the screen
4. Home buttons brings up the home screen
5. Air Mouse works well
6. Direction Pad works ok
7. Media keys too work ok

The only issue it is that when the remote is connected, the onscreen KB refuses to appear.

I have a few other remotes that have KB built in, but they work on their proprietary RF dongle. SO if anyone has any such remote that work on BT, plz post experience.

I am trying to install an app called topdon BatteryLab which is the controller app for my 12V battery charger. when I try Aurora store , i get the message app not supported.

Anyway to install it and other apps that give this message?

I was wondering if I put a fuzzy glass in front of portal camera for privacy (ie all pictures will be a blur) , would it still work for presence sensing?

Currency my portal is on stuck on cant save portal name screen , so cant experiment on my own.

Has any one bought a red color temu tool that comes with its own 18v battery and found that normal milwakee branded batteries work with the tool?

I have a TOPDON TB 6000PRO - Intelligent Battery Charger and Tester that can connect to your phone / app over BT and be fully controlled.

I have it in my garage which is far form my house, so the BT connection gets broken.

Does a device / transmitter exist that can say connect to the BT of the TopDon and send the signal over wifi / RF / LoRa to a retriever that connects to the transmitter over wifi / RF / LoRa and then rebroadcasts the BT signal to the phone?

One suggestion is to use a old phone as a bridge and then RDP into the phone using something like TeamViewer etc. But I am lookign for a more direct solution.

Hi I want to build custom table with carvings, so was thinking of gettign a wooden table , carving 4 wooden panels and then attaching them to the sides / legs of the table to make the table fully enclosed.

I have claimcredit where I spend $75 and get $50 worth of Temu credits.

I was wondering if out of this $70 total, $30 worth of items are shipped and sold by Temu, will it trigger the free shipping for the next 4 orders/8hr period?

Similar to what happens when you place a order of net $20 after coupons for items shipped by temu, and then for the next 8hr/4 orders you still get free shipping on items shipped by Temu (what ever be the net value post coupons).

This pack came out of a Muscle Massager. It lists as a 7.4V pack.

1 cell is bad , reads 0V

2 cell reads 4.84V

I see that the - terminals are shorted together and the white wire runs to the 3P connector. The 2 positives have their own wires to the 3P connector.

I am unable to understand how the circuit will be to make this a 7.4V battery?

To me it looks like 2 cells in parallel.

Has anyone bought a Mini PC on Temu, if yes, share the item number and your experience.

Looking to replace a i5-6500t base desktop with a much smaller similar (or higher) processing power pc. Would prefer to have one with Win11 native support.

I have a separate google account for my smart devices that is linked to my Google Home devices.

Now when I log into the web based google home (in chrome) with my main ac , I see 1 devices and a room, when i log into the web interface with the dedicated Smart Home ac, i see the rest of the devices.

When I log into the Home app on my phone wiht my main ac, I see all the devices. How do I fix this situations?

I want to delete the devices that i see on the web interface of the Google Home, but web does not allow to delete.

I had an old portal go that I enabled adb and set up immortal ~8-10 weeks back.

Then I reset (volume + - power button method) it lay dormant till today, now when I try to set it up, I get the following error msg on the Portal Naming screen: "Portal name not save. Something went wrong when you tried to give the portal a name."

I am going to leave it connected to power and wifi and check every few hours, but besides that any ideas?

I have a backpack that I want to add a waist pouch. The pouch has molle system straps (yellow circle) that perfectly fit the 1.5 inch wide nylon webbing waist strap.

The issue is that the strap quickly folds onto itself (blue circle) and bunches.

I was wondering if there is away to make the waist strap more rigid / stiff so that it does not bunch.

I am not good at sewing, so keep that in mind.

Need help in finding a plan.

Current Setup:

Phone : S24 U

Main Sim: US Mobile on Pool line shared with 1 more line. Its on Warp / Verizon.

SIM2: T-mobile T-Sat Sim with the 50GB data (no hotspot)

Usage: Occasional International calling (I can use google voice for that).

Data usage : ~15Gb per month

I don't want to increase the data allocation on the pool as the 2nd line is my kid and I don't want to give him lots of data. Also, I sometimes used to give him data access using my hotspot on my previous US Mobile starter plan.

So I am looking for

1. Cheap Monthly plan (say like $10ish)

2. That gives me ~10gb of hotspot per months

3. Has a reasonable top up for international roaming (say 5gb data and 200min to talk, 200 text)

4. I would like to remain on Verizon network (but AT&T also works)

PS: the T-sat plan worked really well on my recent trip, so panning to keep it. Currently its my primary data SIM, and since it comes with 50Gb and my average usage is like 15Gb/month, I am fine with it.

Any suggestions?

Q) How to force communication apps to use A2DP profile and System Mic.

All calling, communication , Training apps use the HFP profile when active.

Issue: if I am in a webinar etc while riding, the HFP Profile overrides the Sena 60S mesh due to phone call (HFP Profile) having higher audio priority in the 60S. Now most webinars etc are one way audio ie my mic is anyways muted by the webinar admin, do no mic needed.

Is there a way on Android to set these apps to use the A2DP (music profile) for audio. And set the app to use the system/phone mic.

I am trying to trouble shoot my 2010 Nissan Altima 3.5V6 usign Torque Pro.

I see only 2 O2 sensors reporting voltage, O2S2V and O2S6V.

As per google this version of Altima has 4 O2 sensors.

Can someone ho has Torque Pro and similar Altima let me know the labels of the O2 sensors they can read.
