What is your opinion on the Islamic assertion that the Torah and Hebrew Bible(Tanakh) are corrupted?

One of the most common criticisms of Judaism from Muslims is that the Torah was distorted by the Sons of Israel when in reality it alligned with the message of the Quran.

According to Islam, Adam was a Muslim, Abraham was a Muslim and every Prophet in the Bible was Muslim but never had their religion spread due to the ignorance of the people around them.

There are many things that unite all three religions of the Abrahamic variety but disagreements have made them distinct.

So what do you think?

What do you think Muslims mean when they say that the Bible is corrupted?

One of the most frequent criticisms of Christianity offered by Muslims is the claim that the Bible is not the original Bible of Jesus's and was corrupted by humans. They say it was originally closer to Islam and was subject to forgery after Jesus' death by Apostle Paul of Tarsus.

The Quran even says that the Jesus Christians know on the cross is a duplicate that was put in place to save Him and instead of being crucified, he was uplifted straight to heaven.

How do you respond to the Muslim claim that the Bible is corrupted?

We have the most common assertion of Islamic scholars, which is that the Bible was originally close to the Quran but was corrupted after Jesus' demise. One individual often blamed for this is Apostle Paul of Tarsus whom they say forged the documents to draw people away from Islam.

They also assert that there are many versions of the Bible and that it has gone through many phases so it can't be true.

How do you respond to it?

What is your opinion on the Islamic view of Jesus?

According to the Quran, Jesus was a Prophet, child of virgin birth and chosen man to save souls on Judgement Day.

However, it claims he was not the Son of God, saying God cannot have children or be someone's chid. It also purports that he was taken straight to heaven instead of being crucified.

So what do you think?

Do you believe Islam truly respects Jesus and the Prophets as Muslims often claim? Or is it something deeper?

One claim often made by Muslims is that Islam treats Jesus far better than other religions, especially Judaism since they consider Jesus a Prophet, acknowledge his virgin birth through Mother Mary and believe he will arrive at Judgement Day.

Sometimes they even go to the extent of claiming they revere Jesus far more than Christians since the Quranic version of Jesus was never crucified and never died but was taken straight to heaven.

So what would you make out of all of it?

Demoralizing Mainland Trolls. Don't fall for their traps. Keep your head high.

This sub and many other subs are infiltrated by the same brand of malevolent bots and trolls who hate us and want to demoralize us.

These dudes say the most outlandish and outrageous things to the point where you don't even want to counter them because of how ridiculous.

They keep promoting the mainland as some moral paragon and gigachad perfect space we drain, never acknowledging all the resources and capital they take from us.

They also have a creepy sexual obsession. They will brag about taking NE women and most delusional of all, they will say "ooo, look we brown men are mass fucking white women, you can't do that". I don't know which factory they use for producing these hallucinations but it is amusing.

They will deride and dismiss any achievements by us and potray us as stupid and underachieving.

They have a contradictory attitude of taking pleasure in being our oppressors then turning around and claiming the moral high ground two minutes.

I never take them seriously. And neither should you.

Note to Northeasterners:- Engaging with trolls sometimes works. Ignoring them isn't always the answer.

You often hear this "Ooo, why pay attention to those racists and low-lifes". " Just ignore all those mean guys". Well, while this does work in some contexts, it won't work if you are looking to be respected.

These trolls feed on passivity and subservience and love to trigger. Giving the taste of their own medicine and being a bit harsh will sometimes work well in our favour.

It's like telling a bullied kid to just "ignore the bullies". It won't work, it's going to encourage the bullying because they will see it as a sign of weakness. Bullies aren't looking for attention, they want power.

Besides, there's a lot of fake propaganda being spread against various groups in the country. We are one of them. There are entire ecosystems designed to dehumanize us and make up lies about us. If we don't counter them, how can we retain our dignity?

Remember very well, the world is digital now. What people do on social media matters a lot. The Rohingya genocide was spread through Facebook, after all.

Do you think the Pro-Islam/Islamophile trend nowadays in the American right-wing is actually pervasive or just limited to the internet?

Didn't realize how common it became to see this pattern. Nowadays it seems like there is this whole section of right-wingers that support Muslims as a political bloc and dismiss all criticisms of Islam. It's gotten to the point where pointing out any negative aspects of the Muslim world gets you labelled a Zionist/Israel lover.

Groypers seem to be prominent in this. Nick Fuentes was pushing for the whole "Muslim-Christian Alliance" for three years till when he apparently realized they weren't benefitting his cause. Sneako ragebaiting in New York was the last straw for him.

You could say it's just some alt-right loons but Tucker Carlson seems to be on the Pro-Islam path and he is more of a mainstream conservative than Fuentes. There's also several other non-insane, non-racist right-wing American influencers and thinkers I know that do think of some sort of alliance with the Islamic world.

So what do you think?

It started good with them pointing out double standards in our society and seeing crime as a matter of community. But then they turned it into an excuse to dehumanize us and gloat about atrocities done on us.

This is why I am unable to truly support them even if they say a few true things. Deplorable conduct.

Talking about how an Arunachali did something and using it as venom against the entirety of the NE. Are they all just waiting for an oppurtunity to lash out on us? Even their glazing of us nowadays feels fake due to this. Phosphorus-esque mood, little bit of heat can set it on fire.

"Criminal tribe" what is that? They are using the lingo of the British Raj which applied this to native tribes that resisted them and had been put up for indiscriminate slaughter by the govt. Now they are showing their legacy of colonialism.

Remember the Meghalaya Honeymoon case? One murder in the state and they pounced on the chance to degrade all Northeasterners as cannibals and savages, even malligning Sikkim which has no terrestial link to the rest of us. It even turned out that it was done by the wife herself.

They were right in pointing out how our people have double standards when it comes to crime. But then they used it as an excuse to dehumanize us and justify atrocities on us.

This is why I can never truly support them. It's so disgusting.

What is a criminal tribe? That's literally terminology used in the British Empire during the Raj, against entire tribes if anyone of their members offended the colonists. This really outlines how they are carrying the legacy of their colonial predeccessors.

They had to talk about how an Arunachali did some bad stuff but then used it as a weapon to target all NEs. It's like they are always waiting to erupt into vitriol against us. Even the constant glazing feels ingenuine due to this.

Remember the Meghalaya Honeymoon Case? One murder and the internet flared up, calling all of us cannibals, even insulting Sikkim which isn't even terrestially linked to the Seven States. This feels exactly the same way.

Dhurandhar is the best example of how to potray Civillizational enemies in a nuanced manner.

What bothers a lot of people is that Dhurandhar doesn't hold back when depicting the political machinery of Pakistan as corrupt, volatile and hostile to India.

The mistake filmmakers and showrunners make when depicting our enemy, is that they go for two extremes:- either showing them as completely relatable Aman Ki Asha types who just want peace and solidarity, or they make them cartoonish caricatures who rely on stereotypes and incapable doing anything humane.

Dhurandhar does not do this. It ingrains us into the psyche and territory of the enemy. We learn they have human traits, they have frailities, they have strengths and they even have disagreements with one another. Hell, the divisions in Pakistani society are so profound that they often lead to violence. Ethnic rivalry, sectarian clashes and political differences. Even the various villains we meet don't really like each other and would kill the other if given the chance and they do.

Little by little, we are shown how Pakistani govt agencies and structures are built upon dehumanizing the Indian and the infidel. Then comes the television chamber scene with 26/11 and see that all these characters, some of which we started to like, sympathize with and found out were always looking betray the other- are unilaterally celebrating the deaths of innocent civillians across the border. Hamza is clealry shook by this and so are we, as Rehman Dakait was someone who cared about his family and could be approachable if you got to his heart. But none of this erases the fact that they consider the neighbouring country and its people as the ultimate targets. No matter how much they hate each other, they will hate us more.

This is what makes Dhurandhar surpass Tiger, Pathan, War and all other similar movies.

The weird trend of Mainlanders and Bangladeshis using fake accounts to LARP as Northeast Indian online.

I have been noticing this pattern nowadays. You will have this online account that claims to be of some Northeastern ethnicity which will be either extremely pro-India or extremely anti-India sometimes even supporting China, no in between. They make these weird claims about being linked to the Centre through folklore or talk about how Brown men "deserve" NE women and that we need or to open up our borders. Or if they are anti-Centre, they will take to the umpteenth degree, advocating for Chinese interventions and making strange comments about white people. Then within two weeks or less, you will find out the account was being run by someone from Patna or Dhaka.

I have no doubt some of our own NE people may be a bit extreme or that Chinese bots and trolls may be involved here. But it's very easy to tell when it's one of them vs when it's someone from the Mainland or Bangladesh. There is this particular subconscious tone in them. It's easy to notice. Even Pakistanis have it.

Doyichi used to LARP as Northeastern before being found out. Rohit_rra on twitter was LARPing as Arunachali on reddit but it was so bad, everyone saw through it. There was this Axomiya ethnonationalist account on insta that posted the most extreme anti-Centre posts which gathered more hatred towards us but was revealed to be a Bangladeshi ultimately.

The LARPers are very bad at maintaining their facade, especially since they don't speak local languages and almost never post their faces.

I don't know what's the plan behind this behaviour, but it is concerning.

This is just about China right now. But do you think it's possible for Hindu nationalists and mainland thinkers to soon turn against Northeasterners academically and politically?

It's not like it hasn't already happened. There are plenty of trolls, dehumanizing and mocking NE Indians. Plenty of them celebrate atrocities against us, such as 🍇 and mass murder.

Plus, you always had Bengali nationalist scholars promoting this false idea that Northeast Indians are Burmese/Chinese encroachers who wiped out and replaced the aborginal Bengali population of the land. It is extremely silly, but they believe it without question. Bengalis were the ones benefitting from British rule in Assam, with their language even being enforced for administration.

I have noticed this among Bengali political extremists÷ Left wing or Right wing, they almost always are ethnic chaunivists and turn anti-NE.

Right now, we just have a few incidents of our people being hate crimed in some cities. And some occasional mean stuff thrown. The army isn't inherently an example of political mistreatment. But do you think all of this will mutate into sentiments against us all?

u/AbenegationQuestion — 2 months ago

Beware Northeast Indians, there are many Mainland and Bangladeshi trolls LARPing as NE.

The tactics of Mainland Indian trolls usually consist of a few common tactics: i) Post about rape constantly. ii) Always make degrading posts about the women every second. iii) Post such an obvious lie that you don't even want to counter it. iv) Do some weird LARPing as some other ethnicity that is too hard to counter or even understand.

Bangladeshis are pretty much the same, except they are more hilarious and overconfident about their abilities.

Nowadays, there's been a trend noticed online. So many accounts which seem to be of NE ethnic ethnic extraction-many even posting anti-Asian or creepy fetishizing posts- turn out to be some Indo-Aryan doing a very bad LARP. There's the Doyichi account on Twitter that used to pretend to be NE but got busted. Another account whose name I forgot that was LARPing as Arunachali on reddit. And an Assamese nationalist account insulting India/supporting militants that turned out to be a Bangladeshi.

I don't know what they are planning or seeking but beware of this. Even on this sub and others, they exist.

What would have the plot and environment looked like if Dhurandhar had been set in Bangladesh? Most probably about a Bengali man infiltrating Bangladesh.

Imagine Dhurandhar but about Bangladesh rather than Pakistan. The MC is from West Bengal and chooses to join after some familial dispute and is meant to infiltrate the heart of hostile networks and infrastructure in Bangladesh.

Which groups, networks and events would we have seen? I wonder which historical domain characters would show up.
