In case anyone was curious, if you took a test for promotional while you were in that title and then you left for a new title, your previous title still entitles you to the promotion. Ive asked that question here a few times with zero responses but finally found out for myself when I was not invited to a pool. I didnt think anything of it and assumed it was because I was no longer in the title, but when I emailed the pool supervisor, she said I was supposed to be invited but HR never put my previous title as backup. they corrected it and sent me the invite the day before the pool. (associate staff analyst if anyone is curious).

Well this sucks. Accidentally severed a wire in the main harness under the dash in my 19 accord. Now the car won’t shut off because i get a “shift to park” error. Have to pull the negative. Worst possible location for this to happen. Any suggestions? Might be able to get up there with my small craftsman strippers to crimp a booty connector on with a pigtail and then open up the look on the other side to expose the wire to reconnect. The engine does shut off with push to start. It just stays in “on” mode because the car now doesn’t know it’s in park even though mechanically it is.

Dash shows car is in park but when i shut it off it says to shift to park. Anyone else have this happen to them?

So where i work, most of the reporting people do is stored on a shared windows drive. They mostly run reports in excel, maybe using VBA macros. I might be the only one that was hired to automate reports using Python. But my code lives on my computer, and if I’m out, there’s no way for anyone else to run my reports. A lot of my reporting uses my own mongo database running on my computer as well. I finally got a company Linux server to be able to host whatever i want but it’s like there’s no other way unless i figure this out on my own. My boss doesn’t know Python. She just lives in excel and SQL Developer.

Someone said DUMBo location has valet parking. Any truth to that?

Not sure how long this has been going on but i just happened to notice this. There is slight play in my adapter in the twist motion. It’s enough to cause the camera to see the lens as disconnected. This play doesn’t exist with any of my RF lenses. I don’t see anything loose on the adapter. It’s happening on the camera/adapter side, not the adapter/lens side. All screws are secure.

Edit: must be the canon adapter because the Meike adapter works perfectly. Guess I’ll order a new one.
