Ways to better yourself

Inspire me.

What changes have you made in your life, either big life moves or small daily actions, that you resulted in you improving yourself and your experience of life?

On any fronts: career, quality of mind, romance...

What would you do with your life if you inherited a property?

I'll say up front: I appreciate this is a bona fide first world problem...

I'm just farming for ideas here.

My situation: 34M - incredibly fortunate to have inherited a property. It has tenants in it. The rent from this would cover my rent in a typical UK city, or partially cover it in London. I'm currently completely unanchored: no partner or kids, no career to speak of - have done bit part jobs ever since uni, currently living with parents. I need to get out my parents' place asap and start living my life and I've been handed the golden opportunity to do just that. But I don't know quite what that looks like. I've got the paradox of choice.

My current idea is to get a menial part time job in London or Manchester, then in the rest of my time: gain skills, shadowing and work experience for a more rewarding career to build towards (don't know exactly what yet) and get out in the city enjoying clubs, societies etc and meet people, go dating.

Have I missed a trick or several here? I'm feeling I'm perhaps not making the most of my situation. What would you do?

Hasty Hare 5k Sri Chinmoy Battersea Park

Long shot here.

I'm after a place in the above race on 15th September.

Wow it sold out early! Not sure if bib swap are allowed and it is ages away, but still.... If anyone is pulling out of this one, I'd love a place in it. Let me know! :)

Open track meets in London and surrounding areas

Hello runners of London,

Im looking for track races:

Open to all abilities

1500m, Mile, 3000m

In London or not far outside London.

I have to search quite deep into the internet to find options: Watford, Cambridge Harriers and a few others have what I'm after. Am I missing some other potentially good options?

Part-time jobs London Vs Manchester

Do you think I'd have more chance in London or Manchester of finding a part time job?

I'm not fussy. Id do most things.

I'm 34yo male with experience in mental health care work, admin, data entry, clinical auditing, telephone betting call centre, a bit of retail, live-in commune-style situation.

My situation: landing at home with my parents recently after losing my way in Devon. Id like to move to London or Manchester to enjoy the free-time opportunities a city can offer, get out into the world meeting people, get inspired on what to do with my life and career and so on...

Any thoughts and help appreciated.
