What tricks am I missing?
Does anyone have any easy/cheap ideas on esoteric effects I could use to improve the overall aesthetic?

I think I've been doing pretty good, page has been live like 12 days.
I'm releasing on May 29th.
I have hundreds of games on my wishlist. I get emails all the time for sales. I can't remember the last time I bought one. I'm not really a great example because I'm not the gamer I once was...
But
The way I see things, many of those games that I wishlisted, I would have bought in that moment. I care about a game I'm looking at while I'm looking at it and then the second look typically doesn't carry the same interest.
So, store page->release is a super short runway, on purpose. Assuming You Only Look Once, I have zero chance to make a sale if there's no buy button.
109 wishlists!
playtest will accept you right now but we're waiting for steam to click a button, sorry, it should be available soon! Full release on the 29th
Ship hooking into windows webview2 or ship with a webkit
I've always subscribed to the game design philosophy of maximizing depth while minimizing complexity.
In primordio, movement is simple, you drag and drop yourself where you want to be, navigating through hordes. Combat is simple, while idle, your lightning reaches out to the nearest target. You can click to discharge a thunderstrike at that location and manually aim your chain lightning. Your shield and thunderstrike charges are the same, so you are trading your security bubble for increased and willful damage.
You select simple level upgrades during runs and purchase metaprogression between runs.
Metaprogression is where things get complex. The meta board is a series of runes. Once maxed, you can use those runes to inscribe words for individual runs, for a price. Those secrets slowly reveal themselves to you as you push through.
I've learned that I'm a much better game designer than I am a video producer...
