Is this price fair for a new fuel pump?

I was originally quoted $1'036 on my 2012 dodge avenger that has 229k miles with automatic transmission. The gas gause is not working which is why I took it in .

The wrong part was delivered today and the right one wont come until tomorrow and where i took the car ( american tire and auto in new jersey ) said they will give me a discount for the longer wait time so having to wait an extra day will actually be helpful to me ha . Was the original quote too much with labor ? Thanks

I thought i could pay a few days early and didnt really pay attention to them taking it automatically even if you pay early . So now I am waiting on a response from an agent after sending in a bank statement, but I was hoping if anyone else did it here that the refund process does not take several days ? Thanks
