Hot take, not enough preppers actually practice cooking with shelf stable ingredients

I see it all the time, someone's stock pile of food thats either 100% expensive MREs/ freeze dry meals, or has only staple items with no seasoning or secondary ingredients

Above is a meal made from ingredients with a shelf stable life span of 3 years or more for under $2.50 per serving

Hot take, you need to actually practice cooking with the food you have on hand because having a meal you want to eat is a huge boost to moral and makes whatever is going on less awful

Ingredients

-spam

-sugar

-mirin

-soy sauce

-rice

-chil chrisp

-sea weed

-garlic and ginger powder

Fry spam cubes in own fat and then add sugar mirin and soy with garlic and ginger, cook down into a glaze, serve with rice and chili chrisp

Eli5 why did gane development start taking 3x as long after the early to mid 2010s?

It seems like so many games have been "in development" for 10 or 15 years now when the previous games in the series took 3-5, most notably gta 6 and elder scrolls 6 but several others as well.

Why has game development slowed down so much from big studios?

Positively buoyant fin recommendations?

Hey guys, ive been working on my trim but I justt cant get my legs up with neutral or slightly negative fins on, what are some recommendations for positive fins? Ideally a bit more on the budget side

Im a new diver and haven't gotten to try a lot of styles of fin so far, just hoping for something that can make getting in trim easier

Is there any practical difference between ssi, padi, and naui certs?

Getting ready to pull the trigger on my open water cert and there are shops offering all 3 near me, is there a practical boots on the ground difference? Do some shops only fill tanks/rent gear for one cert or are they interchangeable? Im interested in pursuing tech diving in the future as its the part of the hobby I think is most interesting, which cert would be best for that path in future?

If they are pretty much interchangeable im just going to go with the shop I feel most comfortable with and that has the instructor with the best recommendations

Thanks guys! Booked with a NAUI instructor and starting on Thursday

Jo bear boots quality for work

Looking at a pair of jo bear boots as they make fully leather women's boots to measure which is uncommon as most boot companies primarily serve men's shoes. Ive seen nothing but good reviews for them however, not to be rude to anyone but the reviews ive seen are not from people doing anything particularly demanding. Im a machinist and work 12s, anyone wear Joe bear boots to work? How do they hold up?

The lacquer on my ugly stick is cracked, should I be worried?

This rod is about 5 years old, fished it semi regular for about a year and a half and then life got busy, been sitting for around 3 years, pulled it out and the coating on the base of the rod amd first guide is cracked, Should I be worried? Should I try to re lacquer it?

Saturn budget line?

Looking at inflatables and curious if anyone has one of these, the 9'6 version is only 549 after shipping which seems like the cheapest new option. Im just not sure how ridgid the air deck bosts are, obviously its pvc but im only looking for a few years out of it. Other option is getting one from alibaba which would likely be slightly more but have an aluminum deck
