Corn plot

Hopefully 2-3 more days. I only get about 1 hour of work each day while my daughter naps. Sometimes some evenings but usually not much if any.

UF Gulf plum seeds

Saved some seeds from UF Gulf Ruby, Rose, Beauty and Blaze. I didn’t label or record which or how many of select varieties there were.

Most came out of the fridge ok, but lost a few to mold or dehydration (waited too long to soak and store).

16 seeds in, I will see how many push through and survive the lovely growing conditions Orlando Florida in the coming months.

Summer melons

Has anyone in central Florida started melons in August and/or September and harvested fruit? I’ve heard and read about it. Concerned with upcoming El Niño and extra rains bringing in higher fungal and pest pressure

Excluding a member from commenting and seeing a post in a group. Is that possible?

In one Facebook group, I post often and ask other members and friends to guess an answer for a prize. The same person guesses first everytime and wins everytime .
For the past 2-3 years.
I’d like to post a prize question but would like to exclude them for seeing it to allow others to guess and win. Is that possible?

Pumpkin

Semi- hull-less pumpkin- ready. Well, at least mostly. Needed some more time for more seeds to mature.

The seeds are self- dehulling and slip out nice an easy.

Pie-pumpkin size. Vines look very healthy considering our heat and sudden onset of downpours.

Advice

Saw the old leaves come out a little nibbled off the ends. Then this came out and I thought- oh yay, flag leaf.

Nope, not a flag leaf. Doesn’t match caterpillar damage I see online either, but still suspect caterpillar.

Any thoughts or advice? This blue Java is nearing fruiting stage so, I’m hoping to avoid fruit and flower damage.
