Guess my original prop wasn’t secure enough

Decent set of fruit given it hasn’t had access to water with exception to rainfall, which this year has been much later than average.

Thai dwarf is a crazy producer. Previous harvests have been half sweet and half sour. Think w picked them too early out of excitement. These are nice and sweet.

Ever been driving with kids in a meltdown?
Rolling down the windows and/or roof seems to help mine. Simply insane. Doesn’t matter how hot, cold, dry or wet it is.

Sticky dough, but easy to make otherwise. I didn’t time it right with prepping the rest of the meal so I had to cut into them warm (see tear out picture 3)

Shampoo ginger. It’s on the otherside of the fence in a bunch of thorny blackberries. Had to cut and harvest once instead of coming back repeatedly. Just shy of 1 cup from all 3 heads. Not bad .

Transplanted Ashworth sweet corn just now.
Started 66 seeds, 3 never germinated, 3 were slow to germinate. The rest are at-least 2 inches tall.
Other 4 rows are direct seeded. Tick tock.

Any advice on how to get nutsedge out of 12” raised beds?

Hopefully 2-3 more days. I only get about 1 hour of work each day while my daughter naps. Sometimes some evenings but usually not much if any.

Planted mid March

Saved some seeds from UF Gulf Ruby, Rose, Beauty and Blaze. I didn’t label or record which or how many of select varieties there were.

Most came out of the fridge ok, but lost a few to mold or dehydration (waited too long to soak and store).

16 seeds in, I will see how many push through and survive the lovely growing conditions Orlando Florida in the coming months.

Any advice on grafting starfruit “in the field”?
Lost the variety this winter, would like to get the variety back.
