Wild Dunes Resort is Horrible for Amex

Let me start by saying I’m generally not one to write reviews of Hyatt properties. Over the years, I’ve typically enjoyed the service and benefits Hyatt offers. However, my recent stay at Wild Dunes was the worst vacation experience I have ever had. I’m curious if anyone else here has had a bad experience at this Hyatt property.

I travel accross the US frequently, and I’ve never seen such a greedy business. This is coming from someone who regularly stays at luxury properties.

  1. Minor, but the elevator was way too slow. Had to take stairs multiple times.

  2. The coastal provisions restaurant in the lobby had too limited of a menu, and the food was not great at all.

  3. Overall, resort staff were indifferent and not friendly. They seemed like they hated their jobs. Was not pleased with the level of service for this level of resort. I guess I should’ve stayed at the Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons.

  4. I stayed here through Amex Hotel collection. What bothered me the most was the amount of hidden fees at this resort is over the top. I’ve been accross the world, and this resort blatantly exploits the ignorance of the guests.

  5. Kids were in the adult only pool. Pool was not clean (I have a pool, so I know what is clean).

It’s not about the money for me, but automatically being forced to tip an additional 20% for horrible chicken tenders at a beachside bar is ludicrous and greedy as hell. What even is a beach nourishment fee?

Will never return and will tell many friends to never stay here. 0/5.

This state is foolish (Senate Special Election)

The way this Senate election is being conducted is the stupidest and most unfair thing to voters I have ever seen.

How is someone with no prior political experience given endorsements just because of her last name when she was given an honorary appointment? She seems greedy as hell. She was never voted in at all.

The only reason she is even in the running is because of an appointment. She never worked hard to get into the temporary position she’s in now. Yet, she is being praised for doing absolutely nothing over other Republican politicians. She lived in Maryland for years.

Lowkey, I’m considering voting left because this state has not listened to the voters.

Fidelity Advisor Experience

I’ve been a happy client of Schwab for years. Recently, I decided to reach out to an advisor at Fidelity. This might be a 1/1 scenario, but the advisor I dealt with was horribly incompetent. Meeting was a complete waste of time.

For example, I asked what route go to with my portfolio for maximizing dividends for the next 5 years. She then proceeded to give me a plan until 2060 (I’d be dead long before then) and just wouldn’t listen to any of my concerns regarding strategies. All she did was waste my time by trying to sell me Fidelity only products.

In my experience, I feel as if Fidelity is for investors, as a whole, who don’t have any knowledge on anything relating to the market. They cater to individuals who are ignorant on everything.

With Schwab, it feels like their clientele are more seasoned when it comes to investing. That person turned me against fidelity.

Morgan Stanley Self-Directed Brokerage Account for Amex Platinum

Can someone explain the different brokerage accounts MS offers? I am interested in applying for the MS Amex platinum, but I see a MS CashPlus account is required. To get a CashPlus account, you need to already have a relationship with Morgan Stanley and not E*trade. Would I open an AAA Morgan Stanley Account first?

Disregarding E-Trade, Does Morgan Stanley offer self directed investing accounts?

I’m potentially interested in opening up a Morgan Stanley CashPlus Account and a Morgan Stanley brokerage account. To open a CashPlus account, you need to already be a Morgan Stanley client.

How does one become a client, and what accounts are offered? Are self directed accounts offered at all at Morgan Stanley? Their website seems very confusing or at least very secret on things. It’s like you have to contact an advisor for everything, and you don’t even know what’s offered.

Princeton Master of Public Policy Admissions Chances?

Hello. I’m interested in pursuing a MPP at the Princeton graduate school. I’m a service member with 8 years of work experience.

Academically speaking, I have a undergrad in government (4.0) and an MBA (4.0).

Are there any SPIA students roaming this subreddit with any advice? Are admissions as challenging as they seem? Cheers!

How do police charge people who visited a massage spa with solicitation of prostitution?

This seems like a crime that is virtually impossible to convict people on unless the masseuse was an undercover cop. Aren’t cops not allowed to record inside a spa room anyways with a warrant?

VA Back Pain Massage Referrals?

Hi everyone. I have had constant back pain for years. Does the VA have the ability to refer you to a massage place for weekly massages? And, no. I’m not talking about those happy ending places. Legit massages for this issue.

Can’t hardly walk 3 days after asian massage

I have had constant lower back pain for years.

I went to a Korean massage place for the first time 3 days ago. Her standing on me definitely felt good, but I am so sore now. Now it’s to the point that I can’t hardly walk or bend down. Is this normal? I’m fairly new to massages.

26M Combat Vet with ED. Help?

Hi everyone. I recently started having ED, and I hope it’s not related to the stress/trauma involved in my military service. I have attempted to do the deed with 3 women since a deployment, and I can’t keep it hard enough to even have penetration. To be this young and having issues is causing severe anxiety to me. Any advice on pills or what to do in this situation?

The Hidden Benefit of Using Credit Cards Over Debit Cards

99% of people say points are why they use credit cards for organic purchases. While I agree, this is a benefit, there is another benefit that goes unnoticed by most. For some, this benefit will save them thousands a year.

If you have a brokerage account invested in money market funds, each day that goes by is more interest earned. So, it’s ideal to pay credit cards on the due date and not before.

Examples: The Fidelity cash management account or SGOV/VBIL through Schwab, Vanguard, or any other brokerage.

When you pay with a debit card, the money immediately goes out of the account. All potential interest will be lost. I recommend keeping a very small amount of money in a checking and savings anyways, but it’s just a fact I’ve learned over the years from people losing out on interest by using debit cards over credit and paying the balance early.
