I swear to God there's more of them every time I look, are they just junkies or what?

Why do they congregate there and what are they doing all day?

What's up gang? Had this sub pop up as a recommendation and wanted to request info.

I'm currently the Director for a workforce development organization in Philadelphia and have been kicking around the idea of making a long-term move to Thailand, likely Bangkok.

I've spent my career building employer partnerships, working with nonprofits and government, fundraising, developing apprenticeship and internship programs, and helping connect people to careers. I've also become a pretty well-known figure in the U.S. workforce development space, speaking at conferences around the country on employer engagement and workforce strategy.

I also have family connections in both Bangkok and Chumphon, so this is something I'm seriously considering...

I'm curious what workforce development looks like in Thailand. Is there an equivalent sector? Are there organizations doing similar work? And realistically, would someone with my background have a shot at transitioning into the field in Bangkok, or would language and local experience make that difficult?

I'd appreciate any insight from people working in or familiar with the space. Thanks!

Can anybody tell me why there are 100000000 coffeeshops and almost none of them have regular-ass drip coffee?

I feel like the whole country kinda missed the point of coffeeshops lol. Would give my left nut for a redeye, but nobody even seems to know what that is.

Heard 3 or 4 gunshots (Not fireworks) within the last half hour and saw 4 or 5 cops go racing towards Cook-Wissahickon, anybody know what's up?
