He never made it because nobody came for him on time,am very sorry Luke 😭😭😭😔😔

There are some dogs who arrive at the shelter already carrying fear in their bodies… and Luke is one of them.

A young white Siberian Husky mix who came in as a stray after being hit by a car. When he first arrived, he showed signs of stiffness in his rear limbs at times, and it was clear he had already been through something painful and disorienting before ever stepping into the shelter.

When I first met him, he was a little more scared than he is now, especially during that first interaction, but he still engaged every time I saw him. He would watch carefully, take in his surroundings, and respond to presence in his own cautious way.

Over time, he began to approach more willingly. He would come forward and gently take treats from my hand. No rushing, no pressure, just quiet moments of trust offered on his terms.

He was listed for rescue only due to medical needs following his injury, and he never made it because nobody came for him on time,am very sorry Luke 😭😔😭😭😔😔

🚨 SCHEDULED FOR EUTHANASIA 07/08 🚨

Austin has this quiet way of locking eyes with you that makes it feel like everything else disappears for a second. He doesn’t look away, just steady, focused, almost like he’s trying to understand what’s going on around him and where he fits into it.

He shares a kennel with William, the very fearful boy, and somehow in the middle of all of that stress and noise, Austin still holds onto this calm, observant energy. He’s young, about a year old, and just sitting there waiting while the days pass him by.

It’s hard to understand how a dog this striking and aware is still overlooked. Please share him everywhere. He deserves a chance to leave this kennel alive.

For nearly two months, Rozae has watched dogs come and go while her own kennel door never seems to open.

Every day begins the same way. New faces walk through the shelter. New hopes. New possibilities. Somehow, they always seem to belong to someone else.

Meanwhile, Rozae keeps waiting.

We had this beautiful girl out in the play yard today, and she completely stole our hearts. She is so incredibly sweet, dog friendly, and all she wanted to do was stay close. She sat beside us the entire time, constantly reaching out to place her paw in our hands. I fell in love with her.

Because Rozae is absolutely stunning in person. Her white and gray coat catches your eye, but it's her personality that stays with you. She greets people with an easy friendliness, happy to share her attention with anyone willing to stop for a moment. She doesn't act like a dog who's given up. She still seems to believe her turn is coming.

She arrived at the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter on 05/07/2026 from San Bernardino, and somehow became one of the shelter's longest residents. Now she is scheduled for euthanasia on 07/08.

She has waited longer than so many others. Please don't let her wait for the wrong ending.

Can we please come together as a community and raise the money for Quavo’s much needed help?

I’ve tried writing this a few times and I keep getting emotional halfway through.

Because this rescue means a lot to me.

They don’t turn away the hard cases. Not the medical ones, not the behavioral ones, not the dogs that need more time, more understanding, and more structure than most places are willing to give. Every dog they take in is either placed in a committed foster home or brought into their own facility where they are cared for daily, hands-on, without shortcuts.

Alyssa, the founder and driving force behind @legacyoflove805, puts everything into this. Real time, real exhaustion, real heartbreak, and still shows up for dogs that most systems have already given up on. And sometimes, the dogs that come in need more than safety. They need rebuilding.

Many of you may remember the pocket bully from San Bernardino City Shelter who had painful abnormalities in his front legs, a history that suggests long-term neglect, and very limited socialization.

That dog is now known as Quavo.

Quavo is still learning how to exist in a safe environment.

He has shown he does not yet have basic social skills and will need structured training and rehabilitation. He has nipped at kennel staff over high-value items like food and bedding, and also nipped at the transporter during handling. At the same time, he has been able to be muzzled, did well at the vet, and can be friendly overall, which shows there is something to work with here, not something to give up on.

There is also concern that pain may be contributing to some of his reactions, and he is currently being medically evaluated through imaging and blood work.

The reality is that the training he needs is estimated between $2k-3.5k. That is a lot for any rescue already stretched thin, but it is what stands between him and a real chance.

Can we please come together as a community and raise the money for Quavo’s much needed help?

If you’ve ever believed that the hardest dogs deserve a chance too, this is one of those moments.

Please share this post and donate if you’re able.

It truly helps an incredible rescue keep showing up for a dog who deserves so much more than what life has given him.

Thank you ❤️

He’s a white and red Siberian Husky

Have we seen a dog more stunning than this? Shiloh has that kind of presence that makes you stop mid-walk and look twice.

He’s a white and red Siberian Husky with so much personality packed into him. He’s dog friendly, full of energy, and you can just tell he would thrive with an active home that actually wants a partner to do life with. But instead, people walk right past his kennel like he’s just another face in the row.

He’s been waiting since May 18, over a month of sitting there hoping someone would finally choose him. That’s a lot of days of watching people come and go, wondering when it will be his turn.

I’m honestly stunned he’s still there. He deserves a home that sees him, picks him, and never looks back.

She deserves so much more than a life of untreated pain.

The first thing I noticed wasn't her face.

It was her ears.

They are completely stenotic, swollen into cauliflower ears, filled with pus, severely inflamed, and almost certainly painful. Looking at them, I couldn't help but wonder how long she's been living like this and how much she's silently endured.

Then she saw me.

Instead of shrinking away or looking defeated, she walked right to the front of her kennel with the sweetest demeanor, happy that someone had stopped to visit her. She greeted me with kindness despite everything she's been through.

Moments like this are hard to understand. How can a dog who has likely spent so long neglected still be so full of love?

This girl is going to need extensive medical care. This is not minor or cosmetic, this is painful, ongoing, and treatable with the right intervention.

She deserves so much more than a life of untreated pain. She deserves medical care, comfort, and a family that will never let her suffer like this again.

She needs a rescue willing to help her heal and finally experience the love every puppy should know

❤️ SHANES WAR 2026. SAN BERNARDINO CITY SHELTER ❤️

This little baby should be worrying about toys, naps, and learning how to be a dog, not recovering from painful chemical burns. 😞

Despite everything she's been through, she still looks at people with hope. She doesn't know why this happened to her. She only knows she's waiting for someone to give her the chance she deserves.

She needs a rescue willing to help her heal and finally experience the love every puppy should know. Please share. The right person may not know she's there yet.

Missy is scheduled for euthanasia at ARC Shelter.

Missy is not doing well in the shelter environment.

This sweet Australian Shepherd girl is terrified. The noise, the constant activity, the unfamiliar faces, and the stress of kennel life have completely overwhelmed her. She isn't a bad dog. She isn't aggressive. She is simply scared.

Behind those worried eyes is a gentle girl who needs someone willing to show her that the world is not as frightening as it feels right now. Missy needs patience, kindness, and the chance to rebuild her confidence one small step at a time.

Sadly, she is scheduled for euthanasia at ARC Shelter.

There is rescue interest for Missy, but interest alone cannot save her life. A foster home is urgently needed, and pledges are needed to help support her rescue and care. Without a place for her to go and the resources to help her, this sweet girl may not get the second chance she deserves.

Please share Missy everywhere. Share her with friends, family, breed lovers, coworkers, neighbors, and anyone who may be able to foster or help. One share could be the reason the right person sees her in time.

Missy deserves the chance to leave the shelter behind and finally learn what it feels like to be safe.

she deserves more than being overlooked simply because of where she’s housed.

Adopted

Ohara should be spending her days chasing tennis balls, exploring new places, and falling asleep at someone’s feet after a long day.

Instead, this beautiful young Australian Shepherd mix is tucked away in the shelter tent, out of sight and easy to miss. While other dogs are seen by potential adopters, Ohara waits quietly where few people even know to look.

At just 1 year and 6 months old, she deserves more than being overlooked simply because of where she’s housed.

Sometimes the dogs who need us most are the ones we never get the chance to see. Please help share Ohara so the right person can find her before she slips through the cracks.
