🔹 Intake:

6/29/2026: Stray intake. Very wiggly during intake. Intake condition listed as minor condition.

📝 Shelter Notes:

6/30/2026: Greeted staff with an open mouth, soft eyes, and a loose, relaxed body. Barked and jumped at the kennel door but was easily leashed. Walked on a tight pulling leash to the runs, barked at other dogs outside, and returned to his kennel without issue.

7/1/2026: Vocalized at the front of the kennel and placed his paws on the door. Once leashed, he walked excitedly on a tight leash. In the run he ran the fence line, barked at neighboring dogs, and jumped up. He continued pulling hard on leash and showed no interest in treats. Staff had to step into the kennel to encourage him to follow.

7/2/2026: Rupert greeted staff with a soft face, wagging tail, and neutral body. While outside, he pulled hard on the leash and clawed at the ground.

🚑 Medical Notes:

6/29/2026: Weighed 46.6 lbs. Diagnosed with dermatitis and patchy hair loss affecting the right side of his body, possibly flea-related. Started on Cephalexin 500 mg twice daily for 10 days. Vaccinated (DA2PP-V, Bordetella, Rabies), dewormed, flea prevention applied, and Heartworm test: Negative.
