🚨 URGENT —LAST DAY IS 8/13 🚨

🎉 UPDATE RESCUED:🎉 PLEASE DO NOT HONOR PLEDGES UNTIL RESCUE HAS BEEN VERIFIED

🐾TERRA #A1925153 https://24Petconnect.com/DetailsMain/RVSD1/A1925153

👉 Additional photos and video. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/14ZJZV9ZBYf/

Look at those eyes. That beautiful coat- what ar beauty,💕

Terra is only 4 years old and came into an overcrowded county shelter as a stray—one of the hardest places for a dog to land. With 5–6 dogs packed into many kennels, very few volunteers, and almost no time outside, even gentle, loving dogs can become overwhelmed.

After an altercation in the stressful shelter environment, Terra was placed on a Thursday euthanasia deadline due to space. She also has a hematoma/ear infection that the shelter is treating.

She is loving. She is soft. She deserves a chance. And she is running out of time.

Terra arrived with her friend Moon #A1925153, and they can be adopted together or separately. https://24Petconnect.com/DetailsMain/RVSD1/A1925153

🔹 Intake:
6/8/2026: Stray
6/16/2026: Adopted
8/2/2026: Euthanasia Request

📝 Shelter Notes:

6/8/2026: Thrashing doing intake need it to e restrain.

6/9/2026: Approaching kennel dog was pressed against the wall shaking and with worried look. I continued to baby talk her and she just looked at me with a blank stare. While trying to lasso the leash she did move her head around to avoid leash. I managed to leash her and she walked out loosely with swaying tail, high pointed ears, and raised hackles. I placed her in the runs and she did well. She just sniffed around and went potty. When coming to retrieve her she was at the back of the runs so I called her over but she ignored. I had to enter the run and lasso the leash. While trying to leash her she began to scurry around with open mouth smiling and wagging tail. I had to corner her and she then sat and allowed me to place the leash. She walked back inside loosely, panting, dilated eyes, and swaying tail. No issues placing her back into kennel and removing leash.

6/10/2026: Neutral body, mid wagging tail. Attempted to run past me when trying to leash. Once leashed walked on a loose leash heading in and out. Avoids the leash.

6/13/2026: Misti greets me with a wagging tail, wiggly body and erect ears. Walked out on a loose leash, loose body and wagging tail. Walked to and from the runs no issues.

6/14/2026: Brought over in the am as a move adopt. ACT walked dog to kennel due to the runs being full. Since am cleaning dog has been very quiet and relaxed in her kennel. She greets me when I walk by her kennel. Soft mouth and soft eyes and wagging her tail.

8/4/2026: Athena was sitting at the front of the kennel door. I was able to easily leash her up. She walks out wiggly to the outside runs with a fast wagging tail. She is super wiggly when I come back for her. Once back in kennel, she sits and waits patiently to be unleashed as I offer her a treat.

8/9/2026: Athena has been getting stressed in kennel. On the leash she pulls in every direction and gets highly over aroused. She was having tummy problems so I took her out for a pm walk and placed her on opposite side so in the am I am able to walk her sooner, placing on AE to monitor.

8/10/2026: Ms. Athena is still have stomach issues. She will come up to the door when I use baby talk, tail down. She was easy to leash, when walking I did notice she would walk around me to the runs. Coming back she had no issues.

INTAKE DATE: 7/30/2026
Paige came in with another puppy (ID #A2088813) who is no longer at the shelter. We have no information on what happened to this puppy.

🩺 MEDICAL NOTES:

Paige has generalized dermatitis with areas of hair loss, thinning and crusting on her face. Her skin scrape was negative, with demodex vs. sarcoptic mange considered. Advantage Multi was applied at intake, and NexGard was recommended if she moves to adoption.
💉 Received DA2PP, Bordetella & 1-year Rabies vaccines
💊 Dewormed

🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES:

Paige is a terrified 5-month-old baby who doesn't understand what is happening to her. She has been described trembling and shivering in the back of her kennel with a tucked tail, worried expression, darting eyes and avoidance of eye contact.

When approached, she may crawl away or retreat into a corner. At one point she was so frightened when staff attempted to pick her up that she urinated from fear. Staff have needed to carry her between kennels, sometimes using a blanket.

But there are already tiny glimpses of hope: when given space, Paige has been seen relaxed on her bedding, and staff have offered her plush toys. ❤️

🚨 URGENT — ARLO NEEDS A SAFE HOME BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE 🚨

I am desperately trying to find a safe, experienced home or rescue for my boy, Arlo. He is a 1-year-old Great Pyrenees who I love more than I can put into words. 💔
Unfortunately, I am being forced to give Arlo up because of some of his behavioral issues, including barking and resource guarding. I have tried to work with him and give him the support he needs, but I am running out of time and options.
I am terrified that if I cannot find somewhere safe for him, he could end up at a shelter where he may be euthanized. I cannot let that happen.
Arlo is not a bad dog. He has behavioral challenges and needs someone who is experienced, patient, and willing to work with him. Once he feels safe and comfortable, he is incredibly sweet, loving, and affectionate. He deserves someone who will see the good in him and give him the chance he deserves.
❤️ I am willing to travel ANYWHERE to get Arlo somewhere safe. I will drive hours, across state lines, wherever necessary, if it means knowing he is going to a safe and appropriate home or rescue.
I love this dog so much, and giving him up is absolutely heartbreaking. I am not giving up on him — I am desperately trying to find the right person before I run out of time.
If you are an experienced dog owner, rescue, sanctuary, foster, or know someone who may be able to help, PLEASE reach out to me. Even a share could make the difference between Arlo finding safety and losing his life. 🙏
📍 Located in Virginia
🚨 URGENT — TIME IS LIMITED
🚗 Willing to travel for the right placement
❤️ Experienced owner/rescue strongly preferred
Please help me save my boy. He deserves a chance.

💙 Volunteer Notes:

We were not able to meet #A2089680. If you're interested in helping us meet the animals, please message us!

📝 Shelter Notes:

8/4/26 (Intake): Found abandoned in a cage outside an old Hartz Chicken restaurant with food, water, and a blanket after reportedly being left there for several days.

8/5/26: Initially growled from the back of his kennel, but after being gently lassoed he began walking on a loose leash despite remaining somewhat tense.

8/6/26: Approaching his kennel, he displayed tense body language, forward barking, and growling. Once leashed, however, he walked on a loose leash with a tucked tail and semi-tense body.

8/7/26: Began the morning standing at the front of his kennel with a wagging tail during feeding. Later retreated to the back of his kennel, quietly avoiding eye contact. With gentle baby talk he approached to sniff a hand, allowed himself to be leashed, and walked outside with a tucked tail and flinching body language. He remained very timid while the leash was removed but completed the walk.

💖 This young boy is clearly overwhelmed after being abandoned and suddenly finding himself in the shelter. Despite his fear, he consistently allows gentle handling, approaches when spoken to kindly, and walks on leash once he feels safe. His behavior shows a frightened dog trying to protect himself-not one who has given up on people. At only two years old, he deserves the opportunity to decompress in a loving home where his true personality can shine.

🩺 Medical Notes:

Heartworm positive (low positive).

Medical exam otherwise normal.

Weighs 35.0 lbs.

Received DA2PP, Bordetella, Rabies, deworming, and preventatives.

Sedation administered for intake examination.

💜🍼🐶 A2088338 Gracie
7/28 Euth Req | Labrador Retriever Mix | Female | 6 Months | 12.8 lbs
💔 Gracie has already survived more than any puppy ever should. She was rescued from a horrific hoarding situation involving about 20 dogs, where they were neglected, left without adequate food or water, and living in squalor. The home had a gas leak so severe it nearly exploded, putting every dog inside at risk. Instead of finally getting the safe, loving future she deserves, Gracie now finds herself on BARC’s euthanasia list.
As if that wasn’t enough, she arrived covered in infected bite wounds and suffering from demodex and dermatitis. This tiny puppy has endured neglect, injury, and fear—but she still has a chance if a rescue and foster step forward today.

Playful 1-year old brindle boy Joey is on the euthanasia list for Friday, 7/10 in BARC, Houston, TX. He is wiggly, energetic, wants to play and interact, and just be someone’s beloved pet. Can be adopted to US/Canada. Please help.

🚨💜 SAVE JOEY 💜🚨
🏡 Foster • Adopt • Rescue Needed
📍 BARC Houston, TX
💜🐶 **Joey #A2083602**
Staffie Mix | Neutered Male | 1 year 3 months | 67.8 lbs | HW Negative
🆘 Joey is on the euthanasia list for **Friday, 7/10**. Per BARC, **there will be no extensions.** He must have a **HOLD by 1 PM** or he will lose his life. 🥺
Joey appears to be a young dog overwhelmed by the shelter environment. His notes show a boy who struggles with transitions and confinement, but also one who displays friendly, playful behavior when he’s feeling more comfortable.
💜 Joey’s notes describe:
✨ Loose, wiggly body language
✨ Wagging tail and friendly demeanor
✨ Pottying outside
✨ Playful, energetic personality
✨ Wants to interact and engage
✨ Walks in a goofy zig-zag when excited
The shelter environment seems to cause Joey significant stress. He freezes, pulls back, pants heavily, and becomes anxious when being moved into kennels. Despite this, staff also noted a happy, wiggly dog who wanted to play and interact.
🚑 Medical:
✅ Normal exam
✅ Heartworm negative
💔 Joey is barely more than a puppy. He needs a patient foster, adopter, or rescue willing to help him decompress and gain confidence outside the shelter.
🚗 **Out-of-state and Canadian adoption possible** through approved rescue partners. Typical cost is around $600 and includes transport, boarding, medical care, spay/neuter, and a health certificate.
🙏 Please share Joey. One person can change the outcome for this sweet young boy.

When invited to sit/hang out, he mostly just stands/sits or leans in to be petted but does not push/lick. He was resistant to go back to the kennel. 💙 Volunteer Notes:
We were not able to meet Kevin #A2083026. If you're interested in helping us meet the animals, please message us!

📝 Shelter Notes:

7/2/26: High-pitched whining during feeding and cleaning. Walked on a forward leash while ignoring a trail of treats.

7/3/26: Vocal during feeding and cleaning but greeted staff with a wiggly body, high wagging tail, and soft open mouth. Walked well on a loose leash but hesitated briefly before returning to his kennel.

7/5/26: Walked well on a loose leash, remained friendly and welcoming, kept his kennel clean, sought affection, and settled quietly on his cot after a brief period of whining.

7/6/26: Friendly and energetic during walks. Walked well on a loose leash, paid little attention to other dogs, kept his kennel clean, and repeatedly nudged staff's hand asking for pets.

7/7/26: Greeted staff with a loose body, soft eyes, open-mouth smile, and fast wagging tail. Spun excitedly in circles before his walk, walked well on a loose leash, ignored most passing dogs, kept his kennel clean overnight, and eagerly sought affection, rolling over for belly rubs.

7/8/26: Vocalized, jumped on the kennel door and walls, and dug at the divider. Once outside, he walked on a loose leash but occasionally pulled toward other dogs.

7/9/26: Kevin initially pulled into his covered kennel and was vocal, but quickly settled. Walked on a semi-loose leash with a wagging tail, occasionally hopping excitedly. Passing dogs caused him to become alert, vocalize, and paw at the kennel door.

💙 Kevin is a fun-loving, affectionate young dog whose personality shines once he's out of his kennel. He loves people, rolls over for belly rubs, nudges hands for more pets, keeps his kennel clean, and walks nicely on leash. Like many energetic young dogs, he can become vocal and excited in the kennel or when other dogs pass by, but his evaluations consistently describe him as friendly, social, and eager for attention. Kevin deserves the chance to leave the shelter and enjoy life with a family who will appreciate his joyful spirit.

🎥 VIDEOS THROUGHOUT THE COMMENTS

💜 Volunteer Notes:
Nola is only on the euthanasia list for being low heartworm positive and length of stay. This means there's so many dogs at the shelter that they have to euthanize dogs with good behavior notes like Nola. She's only a year and a half old and would make an amazing family dog. There are so many German shepherds on the euthanasia list that I'm afraid she's gonna get overlooked. This girl is an absolute gem. Watch her videos throughout the comments.

About Nola-
"Nola is a beautiful and sweet 1.5 year old German Shepherd mix that weighs around 68 lbs. She is a typical shepherd in that she is smart, curious, and active but not overly so. Nola is very food motivated and eager to please, so I believe she would be easy to train. She is already getting the hang of walking on a leash without pulling and has done great so far with both potty and kennel training, loved getting brushed and bathed, and rides perfectly in the car. She has done well with calm dogs she has met on leash and wants so much to play with our 10 lb. dog, but she is just a tad too rough in play for his liking. She will melt into humans and gives the best shepherd hugs. She has not been around small children or cats. Overall, she is a gem and would be an amazing addition to an active family."

5/21/2026: Nola displayed a loose body, wagging tail, and neutral expression in her kennel. She accepted handling easily and walked to and from the runs on a loose leash without issues.

6/2/2026: Nola has been very relaxed and quiet in her kennel. She enjoys resting near the front of her kennel door and patiently waits to be leashed. She walks well on a loose leash, remains calm and relaxed outside, and returns to her kennel easily. Staff noted she consistently appears content and comfortable in her kennel.

🚑 Medical Notes:
