It’s not just the heat, it’s the dew point. Stay safe out there!

I don't know who wants to hear this, but I would like to share this so everyone can be safe on these hot days. Please check the dew point and relative humidity in your weather app. Those are what matter most, especially when opening home and car windows, and also when you are outside.

The air has a lot of water vapor, which means it's very humid. Think of it like opening a stove by itself versus boiling water on the stove. If it's just the stove, it's just dry heat and your AC cools it fast. But in our condition, because the air has water vapor, it needs to be dried and then cooled—two processes. That's why your AC takes forever to cool the air. Plus, children and the elderly become weak because it's dehydrating and suffocating air. Muggy!

Drink more water. If anyone wants to know more about temperature, dew point, and relative humidity, and how those work, I will gladly try to explain it in a very easy way. Be safe.

Lottery anonymity changed

Beginning July 1, under Virginia law, anyone who wins a Virginia Lottery prize can claim it anonymously. That means names of Lottery Rewards or second chance prizes on or after July 1 will no longer be posted to a website.

Website blocked by Xfinity Advanced Security

A website that used to work perfectly stopped working after the modem router was factory reset; it was falsely blocked by advanced security.

  1. I allowed it for 1 hour, then turned off advanced security, but it didn't work.

  2. Should I allow access? On the advanced security section, I went there and clicked "allow access," but it's not working, saying "couldn't be updated, please try again later."

  3. I tried to report it to SPA. I'm getting an error after submission: "An error occurred while submitting your request. Please try again later."

What is the solution here?

Fade in volume probelm

Recently, when I upload videos to TikTok, for some reason, the volume starts low, like a fade-in, for the first 2-3 seconds, and it impacts my page. This happened after I un-installed TikTok last week. I do my editing on CapCut, and I checked it before uploading with different phones and accounts. Still, the uploaded volume drops and then levels out. Has anyone else experienced this?

Today I was at a stop intersection, about to turn right onto the main road. A car was coming, so I didn't want to slow it down. I took a fast right turn, and then this sound came. It came from underneath the driver's side dashboard or steering. What do you think it is?

  1. The AC or heater was off at the time.

  2. I parked and tried to replicate it, but it didn't repeat for now.
