I live in the Bay Area and charging isn’t too much of an issue. I’m wondering if making the switch to EV is worth it. I’ll still have an old ICE truck (Tacoma) but I’ve gotten so used to Toyota I’m wondering if Prius Plug ins can be better than let’s say an Ioniq 5. I’m scared of the new…..I can install a charger at home..
Hi, I’m considering a used Ioniq 5!76 the best deals seem to be for 2024 models. This one is about $26k vs the 2025s around me are $34+ worth the price difference?

I went to Toyota thinking I was going to get a Prius Hybrid, but I was pretty impressed by the Bz. I was more curious about EVs than thinking I was actually going to buy one. I've never had an electric car before and am ready to get a second car because I will be commuting more and currently have a 17 year old Tacoma with a mpg of probably 18 lol.
I live in the Bay Area, so there's charging everywhere and seems to be incentives to get me to buy an EV. Rebates, 0% interest rates, I live in a single family house, so charging isn't a problem.
I'm curious to know if anyone's got any of these vehicles and if there's anymore I should check out/test drive or stay away from. Is there a trusted list?
I think I'm going to test VW Id.4 and Subaru Solterra Next.

My budget is around $20k but I’m trading in a vehicle that has been sitting in the garage for about 15k so ~$35 is what I’m working with.
I just test drove and am interested in both cars I think the Bz is definitely more practical but the prime is though tight and shorter..pretty slick. Anyone have lived with either and thoughts?
