After a busy day in the countryside, there's always the summer festival at night.
I added a few little games for the evening, like a shooting game and takoyaki-making, with a few more still in the works.
And if you're lucky, you might even see a meteor shower. 🌠

I'm working on a new key visual for my game, so I put together four concepts to figure out which direction feels the strongest before spending more time on a polished version.
The game is Revive! Onsen Town! (currently in playtest, if anyone's interested). It's a cozy life sim set in the Japanese countryside. You can play as a girl spending her summer vacation in town, or as the Mayor, who's trying to revitalize the village. Meet a cast of unique locals, enjoy peaceful music and endless seaside views. Explore different possibilities and bring the town back to life.
I'd love to know which one you'd click first if it showed up in your steam queue, and why :)
Fishing starts out as a simple way to earn some money.
Later on, those same fish can be delivered to Tanaka's restaurant to unlock new dishes instead.
I've always liked these little resource loop where something collected earlier keeps finding new uses instead of becoming obsolete.
Hi everyone!
I've shared quite a few development updates over the past few months, and today I finally got to click the button that opens sign-ups for our playtest.
Honestly... I was both excited and a little nervous😄
This new playtest includes everything from the previous version, like the night market, fishing, and farming. BUT I'd also added a lot more.
You'll be able to freely explore the town map, visit the Mayor's Office and Construction Office, trade goods at the Windmill Workshop, take part-time jobs in nearby town when playing as the mayor, and yes... you can finally drive around the onsen town too!
Hope you enjoy your adventure in Revive! Onsen Town!

I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone explore the town and hearing what you think :)
Some days in the game don't need anything exciting.
Just clearing a few weeds, planting some new crops, and then taking a walk to Ayumi's house for a warm meal before calling it a day.
It's the kind of slow, peaceful rhythm I hope players will get to enjoy soon too. 🌿
I opened the game today to test a new feature.
Ten minutes later, I was still standing there making perfume.
Mixing flowers and herbs together turned out to be strangely relaxing. Somewhere along the way, it started feeling less like crafting and more like a tiny little alchemy experiment.
Somehow, it ended up becoming a small moment of peace in the middle of busy development days :)
Lately I've been working on the Trading System in my game, and it's slowly making the world feel much more alive.
Each town will have its own local specialties, goods it needs, and prices that change over time. I'm also thinking about adding different travel routes with random events along the way, so every trading trip feels a little different.
At the same time, I'm planning the next playtest. Besides the bug catching and target shooting mini-games from the previous version, I'd love to add features like chopping wood, farming, and cooking — connecting them together so the vegetables you grow can eventually become a delicious meal.
And then there are all the town-building ideas floating around in my head... expanding the guild, hiring drivers, upgrading buildings... somehow the list just keeps getting longer. 😆
I'd love to hear what kind of features you'd enjoy most in a cozy countryside life sim!
I've been working on a couple of new features for Revive! Onsen Town! recently and they've been surprisingly fun to work on.
The first one is forestry. We can now chop down trees and gather wood, and I'm also planning to add things like a forester's lodge and a logging camp later on. After all, sustainable forest management is important if we're going to keep a beautiful countryside onsen town alive ♨️
The second feature is... collecting duck poop!
The ducks now leave little "surprises" behind, and yes, you can pick them up. As for what it's used for, I'll keep that a secret for now 😆
I've been working on the onsen town buildings over the past few weeks, and this is one of the locations I've been looking forward to building the most.
Seeing the buildings, paths, and scenery finally come together has been incredibly rewarding.
Hope you like it! I'd love to hear your feedback!

My cat became a game character, and I'm pretty sure she's convinced she's famous now 😆
Would love to see everyone else's cats too!
I taught myself how to draw while working on my game Revive! Onsen Town!, and one of my earliest goals was simple: make a version of my cat 😆
The cover changed many times throughout development, but one thing stayed constant — my cat was always there, and it's still one of my favorite little details in the game!
I feel like every cozy game ends up containing a little piece of its creator somewhere lol
Finally got time to sit down after BitSummit!!
Honestly, this was way moooore exhausting than I expected, but also way more rewarding.
From the very first bug to finally wrapping everything up on the last day, I was nervous pretty much the entire time. But seeing people actually stop and play my game... I really can't describe that feeling properly. It's this mix of "wow, people are actually playing something I've been working on for so long" and constantly worrying about bugs or whether something might suddenly break...
But overall, expos are amazing! I got to talk with players face-to-face and see their reactions in real time. I also met devs and publishers from all over and got so much useful feedback.
Do you prefer online playtest or expo? The vibes are completely different!
Hi! I’m a solo dev working on a cozy pixel-art life sim called Revive! Onsen Town!
It’s a cozy pixel-art life sim set in the Japanese countryside, where you can play as a girl spending her summer vacation in town, or take on the role of the mayor.
You can fish, catch bugs, cook meals, and just take your time living a slow countryside life while helping the town recover.

I just released a new trailer, would really love to hear what you think :)
