I'm new to collecting crystal so I missed out on some of the early star wars pieces (like the coveted R2D2, which is retired). Luke, Leia and Yoda were also retired but seem to have reappeared recently with different issue numbers (but identical in appearance). I thought once something is retired it doesn't come back?
I usually don't answer unknown numbers but was expecting a call and it is ended up being my mom (pretty much NC for 2 years). All I heard was intense sobbing on the other end, and she basically said she was was wanting to kill herself and that she is in so much pain after a fall last week - apparently she went to the ER, where she is a frequent flier, and doctors gave her a psych evaluation - she boasted she was able to get past them "just telling them I would never do anything since it's against my religion" (she isn't even religious). Anyways she would go from sobbing to laughing to smug on a dime.
She mentioned how she is all alone (and I responded that it's because of her behavior that pushes people away), she scoffed and went on some diatribe how everyone around her wronged her. She said she is waiting to kill herself until her will is revised but she said the lawyer hasn't been replying to her messages since February (and she thinks he will take everything). I feel the will line was a subtle message to me ("I'm revising my will so if you want to be in it then do what I want")
Anyways, when she brought up something else I told her she is very manipulative, which she was incredulous about and asked when had she been manipulative - and I told her she was being manipulative right now - she cut me off and began starting about "me manipulative, how about you,when you were 3...." At which point I cut her off and said "I'm not doing this anymore, I told you I would only talk to you again in a therapists office, if you get a therapist have them contact me otherwise I'm just not doing this, goodbye" and I hung up. For the rest of the day I've been feeling so disturbed, people noticed I was disconnected at work, skipped my workout after work, and went home and slept. Now my dog is itching to go outside, so I will do that, but man how she has such control over my emotions. Just wanted to vent
Have they changed the light patterns, or are more Navy ships docked at the bases? What's going on
I've hired a few plumbers and none have been able to identify how this leak occurs, but the HOA feels it's coming from my retail condo unit (currently being leased to a coffee shop) and they are threatening to sue unless I come up with a "permanent fix" - for context this leak happens once or twice a year, I usually then I hire a plumber who says everything is a OK, gets the HOA off my back, then it happens again eventually. Does anyone have any suggestions or if anyone is in the San Diego area would they want this job LOL.
Edit: I hired a "forensic leak detector" who seems to have a good rep, we will see how it goes.

Was just walking by and saw two separate couples having sex. They were clothed but it was pretty obvious what was going on. Wtf.
I attended Pawmicon at Balboa Park on July 21, hosted by Helen Woodward. Channel 933 had a raffle for "free dinner for two" - surpringly I won, as I never win such things. They announced it at the podium and I went up to take a picture and I handed over the raffle ticket to the 933 rep (which had my name and number). The lady took my raffle ticket and said they would give me a call the next day with instructions. Never received that call and both of my attempts to contact Channel 933 have led to silence. Any suggestions on what I should do next? Was gonna reach out the Helen Woodward Org to see if someone there could help me, but I don't see any incentive for them to follow through tbh. Don't even have proof I won unless someone has video of the event...
So I upgraded from the OnePlus 13 to the Galaxy s26 Ultra and now my music will skip occasionally maybe a couple times per song for a few milliseconds. It's really annoying any suggestions on how to fix?
Thinking of quitting my job and starting self-employment remote work. I'd like to move from San Diego to New Mexico so I can sell my place and buy a place paid off. I would still like to visit San Diego for any big medical procedures (including my colonoscopies which is have every 3 years), as I hear the health care in New Mexico is not the best. Is there a PPO plan that works across state lines, visiting the New Mexico health care site they only have HMOs available. Please let me know of any ways to work around this, as it would probably be a deal breaker for my plans.
