35 [F4M] Sydney/Online - Looking for my significant otter, hopefully we can make a splash together

I’m 35, Sydney based and looking for a genuine, long term relationship with someone I’m excited to hear from, laugh with and build something meaningful with.

I’m not looking for a penpal, situationship or emotional support subscription. I’m hoping to meet someone where our values, lifestyles and intentions naturally line up and where we genuinely enjoy each other’s company.

A little about me

  • I’m a university educated corporate professional, friendly, down to earth and an ambivert - equally happy exploring Sydney or having a quiet night in.
  • I’m strictly monogamous, non smoker, drug free and an occasional drinker. I’m 5'1", petite, fit and active, usually at the gym 4-5 times a week.
  • Outside of work, I’m into live music, art, photography, dancing, hiking, markets, brunch, reading, comedy, vinyl, exploring Sydney and an unreasonable amount of tea and matcha among many other things.
  • I’m Sydney born and raised, speak three languages, have never been married and don't have kids yet, but I’d love to have a family of my own in the future.
  • I’m agnostic/atheist, progressive and left wing. My humour is dry, self deprecating and heavily influenced by British/Australian humour, so if you appreciate puns, dad jokes and ridiculous hypotheticals, we’ll probably get along.
  • No tattoos or piercings - purely a personal preference. Apparently I’m a fan of the classic edition.

Who I’d love to meet

  • Ideally, you’re 29–39, genuinely single, monogamous and looking for an LTR.
  • You’re fit, healthy and active, university educated or intellectually compatible with me, and broadly share my progressive, agnostic/atheist values.
  • You’re also a non smoker, drug free, occasional drinker, have no tattoos or piercings and are taller than 5'1". At my height, that last one shouldn't require an Olympic qualifying standard.
  • More importantly, you’re kind, honest, emotionally intelligent, communicative and socially switched on. You can read the room, talk things through and treat people with respect.
  • I’d love someone who enjoys good conversation and can appreciate humour that occasionally makes you question why you’re still talking to me.
  • I’d also prefer someone without children from previous relationships, as I’d love to start the family chapter together from page one.
  • Sydney is definitely preferred, although I’m open to long distance if there’s a strong connection and you’re genuinely serious about eventually closing the distance. Grand gestures are lovely, but eventually sharing a time zone is even better.

If this sounds like you…

  • You’ve already made it through the important bits, so congratulations.
  • If you've read my profile and thought “I could genuinely get along with her,” I’d love to hear from you.
  • You don't need to write the perfect opening message. Just please give me something more interesting than “hey.” Tell me a terrible joke, ask me a ridiculous hypothetical, give me your most controversial food opinion, tell me something funny that happened today or ask me something you're genuinely curious about.
  • I’m much more interested in attraction, personality and a good conversation than a perfectly crafted introduction.
  • If we seem compatible, I’m happy to swap SFW photos after a little conversation. I’m visual and attraction matters to me, so I’d rather establish that sooner rather than later.
  • If you're in Sydney, fantastic. If you're elsewhere but genuinely serious about eventually closing the distance, I'm open to that too.
  • So… are you my significant otter, or are we just going to float awkwardly past each other?

35 [F4M] Sydney - Looking for my main squeeze, preferably not a lemon #sydney #online

Apparently dating is a bit like buying fruit, you can inspect the produce, but there's still a chance you take home a lemon.

I’m 35, Sydney based and looking for my main squeeze - someone genuinely interested in building a long term relationship, not a penpal, situationship, hookup or temporary emotional support subscription.

Also, let’s get this out of the way, I’m not a bot - I just have unusually detailed terms and conditions. I’m selective, but I’d rather be upfront about what I’m looking for than waste your time or give you false hope. Compatibility, chemistry and attraction all matter to me, and I think it’s better when both people are honest about what they want.

A little about me

  • Corporate professional, university educated, chill and sociable. I’m an ambivert - I love getting out and doing things, but I also enjoy a quiet night in. Basically, I’m social until my social battery submits its resignation.
  • Strictly monogamous. I want one great relationship, not a dating roster. I already have enough spreadsheets at work without needing a romantic one.
  • Sydney born and raised, with the Australian accent included at no extra charge. Apparently it’s cute and calming. I’m choosing to believe this because it sounds nicer than mildly nasal.
  • I’m into live music, art galleries, photography, dancing, hiking, markets, brunch, reading, live comedy and exploring Sydney - plus a serious tea/matcha obsession. I have enough hobbies that what do you do for fun? can become an unsolicited TED Talk.
  • My humour is dry, self deprecating and heavily influenced by British/Australian humour. I love wit, puns and dad jokes. If you hear a terrible pun and immediately regret matching with me, just know I warned you.
  • 5'1", petite, fit and active, usually at the gym 4–5 times a week. Small in stature, disproportionately committed to leg day.
  • Non smoker, drug free and occasional drinker. I like balance, gym during the week, wine occasionally, and dessert whenever I can construct a convincing argument for it.
  • Agnostic/atheist, progressive and left wing. I enjoy big ideas, good conversations and harmless debates - although I reserve the right to become passionately unreasonable about pineapple on pizza.
  • Naturally curious and a fan of good banter. Give me an interesting question, ridiculous hypothetical or random thought and I’ll probably run with it much further than you intended.
  • No tattoos or piercings - purely a personal preference. I’m apparently a fan of the classic edition
  • Never married, no kids, but I’d love a family in the future. Ideally with children who appreciate 90s Disney and understand that soundtrack privileges are non negotiable.
  • I speak three languages, which sounds impressive until I forget a very simple word and start aggressively gesturing like I’m playing charades.

What I’m looking for

This is the important but slightly less fun part. I’d rather be clear now than discover later that we were both reading completely different instruction manuals.

Ideally, you’re:

  • 29–39 preferred. I’m not a fan of significant age gaps, so please respect the age range - I’m looking for someone in roughly the same life stage. If you remember 2000 as a historical event, we may have some generational negotiations to conduct
  • Genuinely single, monogamous and looking for an LTR. If your relationship status requires a flowchart, I’m probably out.
  • No children from previous relationships. I’d like to start the family chapter from page one, not arrive halfway through season three with a complicated backstory.
  • Fit, healthy and active.I’m not asking you to run a marathon tomorrow - just please don't consider walking to the fridge your daily cardio.
  • University educated or naturally intellectually compatible with me. I like someone who can teach me something without making me regret asking.
  • Agnostic/atheist, progressive and left wing. We don't have to agree on absolutely everything, but if your political compass points dramatically in the opposite direction, we probably won't be navigating the same map.
  • No tattoos or piercings, non smoker, drug free and an occasional drinker. Basically, someone whose idea of rebellion is ordering dessert before dinner.
  • Taller than me. At 5'1", this is hardly an elite height requirement. If you can reach the top shelf, you've already demonstrated a valuable life skill.
  • Kind, honest, emotionally intelligent, communicative and grounded, with strong integrity. Emotional availability is considerably more attractive to me than being mysterious for no reason.
  • Socially switched on and pick up on cues like me. You can read the room, communicate clearly and don't turn basic conversations into a cryptic puzzle where I need to find the hidden meaning.
  • Able to keep up with my humour. You don't need to be a comedian - just please understand that sometimes the pun is the point.
  • Genuinely aligned with me on values, lifestyle and intentions. Chemistry is great, but compatibility is what stops it from becoming a small kitchen fire.

Attraction matters too

  • I want to be upfront about this because honesty is kinder than false hope.
  • Attraction matters to me equally as much as personality.
  • Someone can be a wonderful person, but for me to pursue something romantically, I need both a genuine personality connection and physical attraction/chemistry.
  • I also have a type, and that's important to me. Everyone has preferences, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
  • Rather than turn this into a dating IKEA manual with 47 missing instructions, just ask me what my type is if you’re unsure. You can also read my profile and get a pretty good idea from the communities I follow.
  • I'd much rather be upfront about it than have someone spend weeks pursuing me when I already know we won't be a romantic match. No hard feelings, no judgement and no false hope**.** I'd want the same honesty from you.

If you’re still reading…

  • Please read my profile before messaging me. If everything lines up and you’re genuinely interested, I’d love to hear from you.
  • Please don't open with just “hey.” I'm not asking for a PowerPoint presentation - give me something to work with. A terrible joke, fun fact, interesting question, ridiculous hypothetical or your most controversial food opinion will do.
  • I do usually have a peek at your profile before replying, so a throwaway or primarily NSFW account probably isn't going to be my cup of tea.
  • If we seem compatible, I’m happy to swap SFW photos after a little conversation. I’m visual and chemistry matters to me, so I’d rather establish whether there’s a spark sooner rather than later.
  • Sydney preferred, although I’m open to long distance if there’s a genuinely strong connection and you’re actually serious about closing the distance. Grand gestures are lovely, but eventually sharing a time zone would be a nice upgrade.
  • If you've made it this far, actually read everything and still think okay, I could genuinely get along with her, then come say hello. I'm much more interested in a good conversation than a perfectly crafted opening message.

So… are you looking for your main squeeze too, or are you just here to inspect the lemons?
