When in the story to install survival mode?

I’m about to start a survival playthrough with a bunch of mods, some of which include Basic Needs, Humidity and Temperature, Camp Anywhere, and more.

Haven’t played in several years.

Where in the story do you recommend installing these mods?

Edit: title should say mods not mode

Can't download DLLs anymore (Jdownloader and FDM)

Trying to download FuckingFast files. Jdownloader has been showing a "blocked by Cloudflare" issue. Just tried FDM for the first time, and installed the fistgirl addon. Seems to work well enough, but I can only copy the link - there's no option to "Download with Free Download Manager" when right-clicking.

Pasting the link into FDM seems to work. It recognizes the files. But then it returns an error "Can't process page".

edit: DDLs facepalm Also just tried IDM, and it says "Not Found" on each file link.

Shut down upon wake up, intermittent.

I'm typically a Mac user but I built a PC back in December. I wouldn't call myself a power user, but I'm also not Sharon from accounting that can't get her printer to work.

AMD Ryzen 5 9600X 6-Core Processor (3.90 GHz)
Asus B850 MAX GAMING WIFI W ATX AM5 Motherboard
32 GB DDR5
AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT (16 GB)
AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics (486 MB)
Windows 11 Pro 26200.8728

Fairly often, when I wake the computer up from Sleep, it goes straight to Shutting Down. Then I turn it back on and everything is fine.

I don't see anything concerning within Event Viewer, but I don't entirely know what to look for either. I looked for Event IDs 91, 808, 819, 820, and 20, as some Googling turned these up as potential clues. Found 2 cases of 20, one with reason of Reason: Leap second data initialized from registry during boot. Not sure if that means anything.

ASUS DriverHub showed only one update note installed, for RealTek Bluetooth. So I installed that.

According to Windows Update History, the most recent one was installed on 6/16/2026. Considering the last time this Shut Down upon Wake up occurred today, I don't think it's update related.

Restart, Sleep, and Shut Down from the Start menu all work as intended.

Any ideas?

Getting an auto loan these days?

Hi folks. We haven't had debt besides mortgage and revolving credit (that is always paid-off each month) since 2012. And back then, we were pretty naive about finances. We've also never purchased a brand new vehicle. We always purchased used vehicles and pay in full.

We don't make a ton of money, but we do have enough in savings to purchase a new vehicle that we're considering. However, this amount in savings is allocated to other things, such as Vacation fund, Emergency fund, etc.

The math is telling us that getting an EV would be more cost effective than what we're currently driving, especially if you factor in the time I spend performing maintenance.

What are some good banks to go with? Is there anything we should know before applying for loans?

And, could this impact our chances of getting approved for a mortgage refinance? We tried to refinance last year, but we weren't approved, and we never got an answer why. My suspicion is because our home value according to the county assessor stayed the same, and the housing market has really cooled. Would be nice to refinance away from this 7.25% though!

We'll likely put an amount down, but not 100% sure what right now. The vehicle we're considering doesn't come out until end of this year or beginning of next, so we have time.

Edit: the vehicle is the new Slate EV.
Banks we use are Ally and Chase. Ally only offers financing through a dealership. Our mortgage lender doesn’t have an auto program.

Equipment rental rates at local golf courses and driving ranges?

Hi all. My teen and I want to get into golf, but want to hit up the local driving range and courses before committing to any equipment purchases.

I saw how affordable the tee time rates were at the Lynnwood Municipal course, but I don’t see rental rates.

Does anyone know what they are and if they vary by course at other municipal / Premier Golf Centers in the area?

Looking to upgrade my OBD2 tool game. Recommendations?

I currently have an OBD2 scan tool that just reads codes, does I/M Readiness (which I can't remember what that is, really), etc. The basic stuff.

As an ever-learning shade tree mechanic, I'd like something more robust, that will read SRS codes, ABS, etc., and will allow me to test individual component functionality.

Based on my "research", it appears that I want a "fully bidirectional" tool. I've noticed that some will market their tools as bidirectional, but it will only work with one or two components in reality.

It appears that the XTOOL A30M V2.0 is what I want. I'd prefer it not be Bluetooth / app-based, but for the price, it seems like a great deal.

Am I on the right path? Is there something better out there for under $200?

Account hacked. Recovery methods don’t work.

My photography account was hacked. Despite having all the security measures in place.

Meta did notify me that someone was attempting to login from Lagos and Detroit. Asked me several times. Each time I clicked not me and reset my password.

My email address is secured. I made sure to change it at the same time as the first password change for the instagram account.

Here’s the issue though. The person got access to the account and now the account is deactivated. I have to either enter a code sent to a phone number that I don’t recognize, or perform a facial recognition to confirm my identity. I only attempt the latter, which has failed each time, probably because there was only one photo of me on there. Granted it was a self portrait so it should work. My hair hasn’t even changed.

As far as I can tell, there is nothing else I can do.

edit: Meta is so fractured... I navigated to my Meta profile, and then to my Accounts Center. For whatever reason, the account that was hacked is not linked to my email address. I attempted to add it, but clicking "Next" after selecting it doesn't do anything.

Matching 100,000 mile sticker?

This is the official Toyota sticker for the 200,000 milestone. I used to have the 100,000 mile one, but a) I can’t find it now, and b) it didn’t match anyway.

As far as I know, all the ones from 200,000-500,000 are this style, with the 100,000 being the only one that’s different.

Anyone know if someone makes a matching 100,000 mile sticker?

How to install RUNE's update for The Sims 4?

Trying to get this running for my kid. We have Fitgirl's repacks up to the most recent update found on the page. The update for Royalty is based on RUNE's ISO.

How do I install it?

When opening the update Setup.exe, the install directory defaults to D:\Games\The Sims 4 Royalty and Legacy. However, the correct path is E:\Games\The Sims 4, so I change it to that. Then it errors out with File not found! for every file in the installer.

Mechanic recommendations?

I do all of our vehicles’ repairs, but sometimes something comes up that I either don’t have the equipment or the knowledge to do myself.

I’ve exhausted all efforts to diagnose my wife’s 2009 Honda Fit’s AC leak, but can’t figure it out.

I have also exhausted all efforts trying to find a reputable mechanic, but after calling several, I find their communication to be lacking, or they have terrible reviews.

Anything in Edmonds, Lynnwood, Shoreline, etc. worth my money?

Is this going to hold?

We rarely send out LTL. Is this going to hold? I’ve taped each box at the seams and will tape each layer together. Each box is 49 lbs and there will be 5 layers.

Then we will wrap it tightly. We don’t have banders to strap it.

I just replaced the evaporator core and expansion valve. While reassembling I noticed that the original blower resistor had some rust on the cage and something was rattling around.

I ran to O’Reilly and got a new third party one.

I plugged in the original and fan only worked on 4. With the new one, the fan only works on 3 and 4.

The blower was working fine before.

I’m assuming that this is a case of a universal part not being truly universal? Really don’t want to spend $120 on the OEM part. 😅

Edit: 2009 Honda Fit

I’m considering replacing my fully loaded FJ Cruiser for an XTerra Pro-4X. My FJ has over 216,000 miles on it, with zero issues. I’m considering the switch for the true rear passenger doors, mainly for my dogs.

I’d love to see y’all brag about your high mileage XTerras, and maybe even give deets about the largest maintenance jobs you’ve had to do. So far, this FJ’s biggest item has been the alternator at around 160,000 miles.

I currently daily a 2008 FJ with 216,000 miles. Love this rig, and reliable as all get out. And while I love the A-TRAC, I’ve only ever used it once. What I would love is more room for my dogs and a rear window that opens without having to get out to open it. My dogs would certainly appreciate it. And my kid would appreciate the rear AC.

Main use cases are daily driving (less than 12,000 miles a year), trucking the dogs around, family camping/road trips, and solo off-roading. Nothing too crazy, but some off camber stuff every now and then. All forest service roads.

My price range is under $15,000 (cash) and here in the greater Seattle area, that’s a big ask. I am willing to travel though. I’ve found a few with under 200,000 miles, though. I bought my FJ with 182,000 and it hasn’t lead me wrong yet. I vetted it first, of course.

The biggest bang for the buck in this price range that I’ve found is for years 2000-2007, Sport model or V8. I don’t think I’ll opt for the V8. But, is there any reason I shouldn’t avoid it?

Bonus that I have a bunch of new OEM suspension parts on hand.

These are all very similar to my FJ (except the V8), so I know more or less what to look for (looking at you, frame rust). But am I crazy to be considering this change? Is it crazy to spend this much on a 4R this old? I’ve briefly considered getting a Forester but I don’t think that’ll do anything for me.
