Just dropping by to rant

I wasnt going to because I thought everyone else already has but these changes are frustrating me so much and something needs to change

Ive been using c.ai for a while now and it has been very useful developing my characters or relaxing

in a world where using anything ai related is frowned upon this was my exception

Characters being taken down

understandable, you can't fight Disney or Warner Bros.

Age verification

again, okay that's the law and we lost a lot of bots made by underaged or people that don't want to verify

Ads

while It is nothing new for mobile apps to have ads it is just too overbaring and breaks any immersion

you have these "Wanna get rich playing video games?" scam ads

we have these long as possible UberEats ads which isnt even a thing In my country yet

we have chai ads which actively makes fun of character ai using a 3 second loop of a jiggling ai generated egg for some reason

we have banner ads

oh and every ad opens a dodgy website or the play store

imagine that, talking to someone and every 3 minutes you have to listen to someone advertise a scam, click the smallest X button known to man then open the playstore

yes there are hour ad free passes but an hour feels so short and the way to get points is to watch ads which defeats the whole purpose

NOW they put limits on non premium members

limited access to voice, limited swipes making the app practically unusable

these are not good changes and only exist for greed

the app currently sits firmly at a 2.5 star review as a direct result of the greed

while others have been driven away

If the restrictions are lifted and ads become less intrusive I will change my review

I don't know If this is greed or maybe they got sued by disney and need to come up with the money but I just do not see the value of paying to chat with ai

£9 a month is dangerously close to Netflix money

you are not as big as netflix when your content is made by users

hey pay us to make content we own

I am not asking to remove the ads I understand you need money to run servers

but the way they are implimented currently takes away from the experience

Father Ted jokes other countries don't get

Watched some Americans and Brits react to Father Ted and for the Americans obviously food brands are different and they reference Irish celebrities

They also find the word "Fag" to be absolutely hilarious

but one I think they get wrong the most Is when Father Stack says "That's young fellas running around In shorts"

they take this as a joke about priests and young children

but In Ireland a young fella can be anybody

there could be an 90 year old man and you say "Watch yourself young fella"

Do I need to buy guard now?

I gpt command today and now I notice there Is one game missing Star Fox Guard for Wii U and I honestly have zero interest In playing that game and I would only be buying It as a collection piece

Also considering looking for a Star Fox 2 fan repro cart

If you are wondering why the first two entries are named differently In Europe

Nintendo feared legal issues from a german car company named StarVox

but by Adventures we got the proper titles

Trying to make my YouTube more Irish and support local channels

but YouTube doesn't exactly have a region search feature they will just push whats popular

even searching things like Irish gaming or Nintendo Ireland I get American creators 1980sgamer and Scott the woz

at most I am getting Jacksepticeye, CallMeKevin and RTGame

I can't speak for the other two but Jacks main audience Is Americans "Top of the morning to ya here are 5 Irish phrases"

I want as many Irish voices as possible

you can even promote yourself If you think It's good
