Guys, I may have made a very stupid decision(update)

Guys, I may have made a very stupid decision(update)

Yesterday I posted about buying 1,000 bottles of Thums Up for ₹35k. I love bikes and I’ve been wanting to get a new one for a while, but haven’t been able to save enough yet. While looking for different ways to make some extra money, I came across this thing where you can scan the codes on Thums Up bottles for a chance to win a bike. I got curious and started doing the math. ₹35k got me around 1,000 bottles, so potentially 1,000 chances, and I thought I might as well see what happens XD

So far, I’ve opened around 100 bottles and scanned the codes. No bike yet lol, but I did get some money back from a few of them XD

Still have around 900 bottles left, so I guess the experiment continues. Will update if I somehow end up with a bike :)

Is it an Indian household thing to stock up on unnecessary things?

Every time I come home to my parents, they somehow make it their mission to make sure I have everything I could possibly need. And by everything, I mean EVERYTHING.

They don’t buy one pack of something. They buy enough to make sure we won’t need to buy it again for the next 6 months 😭

This time they’ve somehow already started asking me for a list of everything I want because of this Freedom Sale that’s been happening and, as my parents like to say, “saste mein mil raha hai.”

I gave them like 4 things. They came back with a list that could probably help us survive a plague lol. It’s honestly very cute because I know they’re just trying to take care of me, but the scale of this stocking up is insane.

Is this just an Indian household thing lol? What’s the most ridiculous amount of something your family has bought just because it was cheap as hell?

EVs are best for monsoon in India lol

Honestly I used to freak out every monsoon. I was so convinced the battery or motor on an EV would just short circuit or do some weird drama the second water hit the floorboard. Battery plus flooded Indian roads in monsoon is just a nightmare combination in my head lol.

Yesterday I ended up having to push through a pretty deep waterlogged patch near my colony because I had zero choice... was fully expecting my Chetak to die mid-way but it literally just crawled through like nothing happened. Didn't stall or give any error light at all.

It handled the water scene like a champ. Still got my shoes completely soaked though so dukh is real lol

Anyone planning to meet Nolan for India premiere

Saw that nolan is going to be in mumbai for the big O movie promotions and obviously getting into the premiere itself is a long shot, but I'm curious if anyone's planning to head to the venue just to see if they can catch a glimpse of him or the cast.

I've seen people do this for Bollywood premieres all the time. also wondering how packed it's going to be, considering Nolan has a pretty huge fanbase in India.

Hot take: I'd rather see more videos like this than cinematic launch films.

Watching an SUV being driven through actual mud and rough terrain tells me way more than polished ad films ever can.

Makes it easier to judge what the vehicle is actually built for.

Anyone else enjoy these clips more than ads?

Just noticed the Sierra EV teaser has a QWD badge

Spotted the QWD badge on the Sierra EV teaser. If it means AWD, I'm curious what kind of performance bump Tata is targeting with it. Thoughts?

Oscillating vs Sonic electric toothbrush. Which one is better?

So I have an implant in my front tooth and in general my teeth are a bit sensitive like I can't bite icecream or even if something cold touches my teeth it hurts.

I am looking for an electric toothbrush now. I was looking at Oral B Vitality or some sonic toothbrush in the vitality price range.

Is Oral-B Vitality the Best Electric Toothbrush Around ₹1.5k?

Planning to buy my first electric toothbrush and after researching a bit, most people seem to recommend Oral-B over others in this budget.

I found the Oral-B Vitality for ₹1,800 on Flipkart with 4 brush heads included. Another listing on Amazon has the same brush for around ₹1,350 but only 1 brush head.

Since replacement heads are expensive, is the ₹1,800 deal better overall?

Also, are there any other good electric toothbrushes around ₹1.5k worth considering?

Most founders are building with product intuition. Very few are building with real market visibility.

A lot of founders spend months building products without properly understanding how competitors are moving around them.

Meanwhile competitors are:

changing positioning

testing pricing

expanding into new segments

increasing hiring

pushing different GTM channels

shifting messaging

investing heavily into creators, SEO, or paid acquisition

And by the time these patterns become obvious publicly, the market has usually already moved. Modern startups need more than occasional competitor checks and saved tabs. They need continuous visibility. That’s where Rocket.new’s Intelligence comes in.

The system tracks competitor movement across websites, social platforms, hiring activity, reviews, GTM signals, news coverage, and more then connects those signals together into structured insights businesses can actually act on. Because in fast-moving markets, reacting late is usually the most expensive mistake."

Here’s my unbiased review of pati patni aur woh do movie!!

Went in expecting a typical light entertainer and while it does stay in that space, it still surprised me in parts. Ayushmann feels completely in his comfort zone again, very natural throughout and not trying too hard to be funny. The biggest win for me was how Sara, Wamiqa and Rakul were all treated properly in the story instead of being reduced to eye candy. They all had solid presence and moments to shine which honestly made the dynamics way more engaging.

That said, the overall story does feel a bit familiar and you can kind of predict where it’s heading at times. The humour works for the most part, but in a few scenes it feels like it slows down or gets slightly repetitive instead of hitting consistently.

Vijay Raaz and Tigmanshu Dhulia absolutely steal scenes whenever they show up, especially Tigmanshu there is one Bollywood related line from him that people are definitely going to keep quoting.

The film runs on pure confusion based humor and it works because the setup is clean, even if it doesn’t really try to push beyond that. Ayushmann plays a forest officer stuck in a messy situation involving his wife, his colleague and Sara’s character which just keeps escalating.

Also really liked the small details like the Prayagraj accent which felt authentic instead of forced, and the way they used both new songs and older tracks to keep the mood going.

Big plus is the runtime it’s under two hours and you feel it in a good way because nothing drags. It ends on a proper high and you walk out smiling. Not saying it’s something groundbreaking and it probably could’ve done more with its idea, but as a theatre experience it’s still genuinely fun to watch 😄🍿
