If there are any psychology students here please do let me know what you think

I completed my 4 year bachelor this year and am now looking to get into mclin psychology.

I did sit for an entrance exam but didn't get selected .

I had also applied for mizoram university entrance but due to unavailability of my last sem marksheet I got disqualified.

Now my father is telling me to get admission in RGU only which tbh he was saying from quite some time and himself filled the form for me , mostly because it's closer to home.

For context, I have studied outside of NE for the past 4 years but was diagnosed with a chronic illness 2 years back..now I guess my parents are thinking from that lens that it's much easier for them to be with me if I'm closer ...

Being away from Assam I honestly am not aware of the scenes here anymore. ..reddit is filled with negative reviews about RGU but seeing the recent Mclin psych scenes and all the entrance ke issues I honestly dont know what to do .

I told my parents that RGU does not seem to have a good rep what if it leads to career suicide? But the things is all the reviews on reddit are for other depts so really need some advice and genuine reviews from people studying in psychology dept in RGU

The thing is I'm also not quite sure if I should just take the drop year instead and if it's actually worth it

The job market is shit anyways for psychology so does it matter what college we are studying from or is it just an old concept now?
