I’m studying for my realtor license and I’d like to move to Japan somewhere near the beach….I hear Okinawa has beautiful beaches and it’s where Japanese people vacation. But is it expensive to live there?
It was 8:30pm and since it’s been kinda chilly out I decided to use the propane fire pit in the courtyard. I’m sitting there with my headphones on when an older woman snatches my headphones off, I stand up and snatch them back and she starts yelling at me to turn the fire off…long story short I refuse and she gets mad and storms off. Should I tell the office? I pay rent so I think I should be able to use any amenities on the property.
In a short story I’m writing my character goes back to the mid 80’s and goes to a music store, he finds all his favorite albums and buys a ton of them because 1980’s prices are really good in his 2026 mind. He goes to pay and as the girl behind the counter is bagging his purchases she says “you got some great taste” and my character accidentally says “Thanks I love 80’s music”. How would the music shop girl react? Would she just nervously laugh or ask what he meant?
I was out waiting for some friends at a new bar that just opened near me….I ordered a drink and took a couple sips then let the bartender know I was stepping outside to call one of my friends because it was kinda loud inside. When I got back to my seat I noticed she had thrown out my drink and made me a new one only this time she put a sticker over the top of the glass. I asked if something happened while I was outside and she said kinda nervously while noticeably scanning the room “Oh ah n-no I just made it wrong”….i had taken a sip before stepping outside so I knew that wasn’t true but I decided not to bug her about it and just enjoy the night. Later when I got home I had time to think about it and now I’m curious about why she looked so nervous and why she replaced a perfectly fine drink…..I’m new to the whole bar thing so I really don’t know any unspoken rules or anything like that.
I’m looking to purchase a condo on the beach in Florida. I found a company that is building a 6 story building facing the ocean and a two bedroom unit is in my price range. The property is an empty lot right now and a representative at the builder’s office said construction is set to begin going vertical mid July after they finish the foundation and ground plumbing. I know some people are wary of new construction and my parents (who are gonna co-own the unit) think it would be better to just find a condo in an existing building. I looked and most all the condos in our price range were built in the 70’s and 80’s. I tried to explain that instead of a 40 or 50 year old building we could get this brand new one for the same price but my dad doesn’t seem convinced……what do you think?
Let me explain….my very good friend is a cosplayer and she wants to enter her a contest where she dresses as Megumi Tadokoro and I dress as Soma Yukihira. I am not in the cosplay world…..(I’m not talented in that way) all I would do is show up to the convention, walk on stage with my friend, do a few poses for the judges and walk off….so basically model her work. Is that allowed? She’s my best friend and I don’t want my presence to get her in trouble or disqualified.
