Found this disgusting Mickey Mouse vinyl bank covered in cigarette tar for $45 🤮

(Deleted last post and reposted)
I saw this absolutely disgusting Mickey at an antique market for $45. These are not rare I see them at almost every thrift shop and antique place I go too so that fact pared with the gross cigarette tar all over it makes the price these people want for this thing ridiculous! I love how the tag says “Vintage Patina” uh no that’s cigarette tar. Yuck! 🤢

Should I stop supporting this new boba tea place that just opened near me?

I love Boba Tea so I was excited to see a sign in a local storefront window for a boba tea cafe. Fast forward a couple months and the place opens, it’s still new at this point so the owners are still putting on some finishing touches around the shop…for a while it’s great, the owners are nice, the tea is good, the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is relaxing…..all seems well in the world….until last week. It was hot out and I was on my way home so I stopped to get my usual when I see it. The shop owners had painted a huge Herbalife logo on the wall above the menu boards. I walked right out with a feeling of disgust about all the money I’d spent there. Finally something cool opens around here and it’s a fuckin MLM. Should I stop going there or just ignore where my money is going?

Am I right to be angry with my buildings management and maintenance guy?

(28 m) I work from home and I had just logged into work and barley taken a sip of my first cup of coffee when at about 7:30am I hear an aggressive knock at my door, I ignored it because I was busy and didn’t want to answer the door in my pajama pants and undershirt….about 20 minutes later I hear another equally aggressive knock only this time I hear my door unlock and open, I jump out of my chair, run out of my office and see this strange guy coming through my door so I yell “What the fuck?! Get out!!!” Then I see the building’s maintenance guy behind him and as if nothing happened he just says “we have to replace the air filter and you didn’t answer” still pissed I say “So you barge into my apartment?”, no apology at all I watch him and the strange guy replace the filter and as they leave I grab the door and slam it behind them. I texted my boss the situation and told her I’m gonna need a few minutes to cool off, she says ok and that she would be mad too if someone did that to her. Now I’m a guy so I’m not as concerned for myself as I am for the single young women who live in my building who deserve to live in peace without having to worry about strange men coming through their door. I’ve already brought my concerns about this to my building manager and she apologized and agreed with me and said she’ll have a meeting with the maintenance team……but what I’d like to know is if I’m right or wrong for being and if you’d be angry in this situation too?

How do you feel about other people performing Amy’s songs?

I was at a bar a couple nights ago with some friends listening to live music and the girl on stage said how much she loves Amy and the raw emotion and honesty she put into her music…..which I totally agree with but she sang “Rehab” and “I’m No Good”……don’t get me wrong the girl had talent but she didn’t have that (what I call) Amy magic. The way Amy rounded her words and sang with a darker heavyness. The girl at the bar was good not disputing that but Amy’s music just didn’t hit the same as it does listening to Amy sing it. What do you think?

Bought this Winifred Sanderson second hand and didn’t notice she had a scuff on her face. Anyone know how to remove it?

Why do so many of her videos end in murder?

Paparazzi starts with her getting thrown off a balcony and featured a multitude of dead bodies ending with her poisoning her “boyfriend”, Telephone end with Beyoncé and Gaga poisoning an entire restaurant and Bad Romance ends with her burning a guy in bed.

Has Helen gone downhill or am I just old?

First time I went there was a little over 10 years ago and I loved it! There was a fudge shop, coco clock shop, a huge German train diorama and some really good German restaurants…..fast forward to yesterday and it was really crowded, I saw maybe one German restaurant and all the stores sold the same cheap dollar store tourist junk……on top of that all the buildings have faded paint and the wooden façades are rotting. And whoever decided to put a western theme restaurant in a German themed village clearly doesn’t know how to read the room…….it is such a shame how downhill this once adorable German themed village has gone. Am I the only one who feels this way?

Did people not wear jeans in public?

I’ve seen it in multiple tv shows and movies where a character will be wearing a perfectly fine looking pare of jeans and a shirt and say they have to change to leave the house. One example is an episode of I Love Lucy where Lucy gets a trophy stuck on her head and she tells Ethel that they have to take the subway to go someplace and Ethel says that she can’t go out in public in her blue jeans. In a word where people go out in their pajamas (ugh I hate that) a nice pare of jeans would be an improvement.

Why don’t the Mormon guys who live in my apartment building ever seem to use the front door?

They live in a first floor unit but the strange thing about my building is that the first floor isn’t at ground level so the first floor balconies are about 5 feet off the ground. Multiple times while walking my dog in the morning I’ve seen these guys climb over the railing and jump down to the ground, pass each other bikes and ride away. Are they living there illegally? Is there some rule against front doors in Mormonism? Are they just weird?

Do you think Michael would have used social media?

I know when he passed in 2009 social media as we know it today wasn’t as wildly used but for some reason I can see Michael posting Tik Toks of him dancing to his songs, reposting clips from his time with Motown and just being the fun light hearted guy he seemed to be! So what do you think?

When am I going to start looking different?

I’ve been on my weight loss journey for about 4 months and now I have to wear a belt to keep my pants up and all my shirts feel too big, but I don’t see a difference in the mirror….but at the same time my stomach sags when I lay on my side and it feels loose (if that makes sense). I can feel the difference but I can’t see it. When am I going to start seeing changes?

Why do some clients dress richer than they are?

This last time was the second time this has happened, I met a client at a house in an upper middle class neighborhood (houses in this neighborhood typically go for the high $300’s to mid $400’s) this husband and wife pulled up in a 2008 Camry but when they got out of the car she was wearing a knee length black dress, red bottom pumps, Prada sunglasses and one of those Dior bags that says “Christian Dior” in big letters on it and he was wearing a Ralph Lauren polo with the big horse logo on it, black slacks and dress shoes. I immediately thought to myself “oh great those people”. I could tell they weren’t as well off as they were trying to portray because when I started trying to talk about lenders he got a squeamish look on his face. Why do people do this? It’s so easy to see right through. I mean I dress nicely (mostly business casual) for showings but I don’t cover myself in brand logos like these two. I’m not trying to judge because we all have different tastes….personally I’m more into the “quiet luxury” aesthetic. Anyway why do people do this? To me a client is a client.

Breweries need to start banning kids!

This brewery in my area used to be so nice! They have a great outdoor area where they host live music and movie nights and all the staff are so friendly. It used to be a great place…..until the city built a park around it and suddenly the place became a damn daycare. Forgot about playing cornhole because kids are always taking it over and parents just let their kids scream and run around like a herd of wild animals. Last time I went with my friends we had just gotten our drinks when some stupid kid’s soccer ball flew at is and drenched us in beer….broken glass went everywhere and I was so pissed. The kid’s dad walked over to us and tried to sweet talk but I still dripping in beer cut him off and told him he’s gonna pay to replace our drinks and that he better control that brat of his….this man had the nerve to try to make excuses but I wasn’t having it, I cut him off again and told him to either pay for new drinks or I get the manager involved (yeah not my best moment)….he deflated and payed for our replacement drinks and left. I know I could have handled that situation better but the guy could have also watched his kid and not let him kick a soccer ball in the crowded place.

Do you think some items sold as “Children’s decor” can be used outside of a kid’s room?

The other day I saw these really cool wall sculptures of 3 different phases of the moon, they were in the children’s decor section of target…..one was black, one blue and the other green. I thought they would look really cool if I painted them moon gray to look more realistic they would look really nice in a teen or adult’s bedroom. Have you ever seen something in the kid’s section of a store and thought “that could work”?

My mom is jealous of my weight loss

I had a little heath scare which inspired me to start a weight loss journey, in four months I’ve lost 75lbs eating less and heather and with medication. I’ve noticed recently that my mom has started making rude comments like “I guess you’re not a pig anymore” and “you’re finally starting to look normal”. Yesterday she saw me in the bathroom taking my medication and huffed at me and said “Taking your shortcut again” I told her that what she said was rude and she just laughed at me and said “well what would you call it?”. She’s the type how complains about being overweight yet packs a coke in her lunch every day at work because she ‘needs the energy’ and will sit on the same spot on the couch all day and eat an entire bag of chips. I’ve switched from coffee to macha and if I do have a soda I drink diet or zero sugar and I eat berries and sugar free whip cream or Greek yogurt for breakfast while my mom eats her usual two cups of coffee, bacon and bagel with strawberry cream cheese. I’m not telling you this to shame her I’m just saying that I’ve made changes to my diet and she hasn’t yet she’s jealous that I’m losing weight and she isn’t…..her ultimate excuse is that I’m a young man and she’s a woman. Whatever that’s supposed to mean. Thoughts?
