Guys, this subreddit has got to be better than this.

Guys, this subreddit has got to be better than this.

I actually take the time to watch the videos posted here to see if the person in the video are actually grifting, and after reading the comments from that post, I can tell that nobody in that thread actually watched the video except for like one person. I am seeing a bunch of people here are calling the video clickbait when they were informed that it was supposed to be a joke, and to that, I have to disagree.

I knew the video is satire before even watching it. Look at the title for a moment. You see two parentheses in the name of video. That's a quote from those online who always says this. Now loom at the guys raising his eyebrow. I don't think anyone being anti-Nintendo would make a face like that at all.

We serious have to do better than this because we're already known to be toxic to anyone giving actual fair criticism. Mods really have to be more strict when people uploads these videos all because they see the thumbnails but not watched them. AI thumbnails however, should be avoided at all costs because it's just slop.

Only on Reddit, people think 2024 Palworld > Pokémon memes are still funny.

The comments are the usual comments you have seen since 2024 or older as well. Noticed there are a good amouomt of users in the thread who are calling that post. So that's good at least.

EDIT: It appears that there are some people who have been lurking around here or never have chatted in this subreddit before are joining in and trying to defend that meme. These guys are just tourists.

I don't recommended Beast of Reincarnation on the Series S.

I wish I can enjoy how the game looks because on other systems, it looks pretty, but on Series S, you're on Potato Mode. Most of the textures and models are very low quality and it even struggles to run at a constant 30 FPS on Series S, so for me, that is very disappointing and it makes the developefor the Series S seem like an afterthought.

If you own a Series S and these bother you like it does to me, I would avoid playing this game until there are patches to make the game look and run better hopefully. Other than that, I don't recommended playomg this game on a Series S.

The 4 Levels of Nintendo Grifting: From Top to Bottom

Had some free time, so I decided to make this category of the type of Nintendo related grifters on the internet, mostly on YouTube. It's not perfect and if there's anything that needs to be changed or added, let me know. I wanted to make this to help those to understand what types of grifting there are from content creators, whither they're actually grofters or not but does make videos that can be described as grifting. So, here yango.

Level 4 Grifting - Attention Seekers: They do nothing but spread misinformation and over-exaggerate negatively when Nintendo does literally anything good or bad. They do this to get people's attention and make a lot of money off of clickbaitable content. Likely creates AI generated or disturbing thumbnails. [Fritanga, SmashJT, and Frogmire]

Level 3 Grifting - Japanese Soilder: Those who used to be on Nintendo's side, even during their worst era, but then changes their mindset when Nintendo does something that they heavily disagree on. Will act like they stop caring but then later constantly talk about them negatively because they're "fighting for the cause". Even if what they say is incorrect, they don't care because they're too upset that their favorite innocent company has gotten evil. [NintenDeen]

Level 2 Grifting - Depressed Fanboy: Too discourse poisoned; trying so hard to be neutral about everything without getting into controversy or drama. When Nintendo does something good, they'll praise it and be very happy, but if it's something they don't like or they don't have a game made for them, these guys will rant and blame Nintendo for not knowing what they're doing, make it feel like it's our problem, and worry too much about what the community thinks as well as Nintendo themselves. [Arlo and Nin10doland]

Level 1 Grifting - **THE** Fanboy: Praises Nintendo and buys their products all the time, but almost immediately switches against them when they do something they don't like and try to make it a big deal for the views by saying some nonsense. But it doesn't matter what they say or do because you if you around their room or office, "Nintendo Fan" is written all over them and they'll continue to buy their products. [BeatEmUps, AbdullahSmash, RGT85, and SwitchForce]

Level 0 Grifting - The Neutral Fan: Praises and criticizes Nintendo evenly without letting their bias take over. Does not over-exaggerate, doesn't clickbait, doesn't bring up the people online most of the time. It's hardly ever a grift; they will likely joke or mock about the discourse because it's too funny and ridiculous. Usually avoids the discourse by just focusing on other things that are more important to them. [SirMusty and ScottTheWoz]

After RE4R...I can't choose which is my top favorite!

Just finished RE4R. Fantastic game. Prefer it ovet the original which was the game I grew up with first. But after playing it, I can't pick which of the I love the most. I know RE6 isn't the most loved game to a lot of people, but that game was super fun and I loved every second of it; same can be said to RE4R! These two are just sooo good. Makes me wish the series would have another action oriented RE game. I love those the best!

Every. Single. Time...

Not against simcade indie games, but man does it feel that there's like 10 or more of these on Steam. I can't find any touge racer that captures the fun and accessibility of the Initial D Arcade or the old Battle Gear games. If there's any indie game I haven't found yet that lakes like those two, please let me know. I'm dying for very easy to pick up and play touge racers.

What happened?!

No seriously, what happened? All of this hype and promotion for the game and those who had early access to play the game before release were very positive for a revival of this franchise and I couldn't wait to purchase the game on my console. I haven't kept up much news so I jump back to see how's everyone enjoying the game and I am seeing a bunch of people very upset or disappointed in the game. Reviewers were pretty mixed on it as well, and comemnts saying that the devs don't know what they were doing.

What the hell did I just miss? Everyone was so excited for the game and now it's being slammed hard.

Anyone been noticing there's a growing amount of artists/animators on YouTube who makes these posts/vids?

I've been noticing of getting recommended by random community and animated videos of something on the lines of an attractive character say or do something silly and wholesome but kinda nudges you to focus on certain parts of the character that's clearly a little NSFW.

These kinds of content seem to be doing pretty well, and hey, I can't complain; go chase those click and views to advertise your art, but I just find it very interesting that there's been a growing bumber of that on YouTube which could be a bit worrying, but I dunno.

Why does Super Paper Mario get labeled as classic Paper Mario?

This was the final Paper Mario game I played and though, I enjoyed my time with it, I can't help throughout my playthrough feeling that this started what Paper Mario has become what it is today. Even going back to old threads, a lot of people were really not happy about SPM at the time and during Sticker Star's release, a lot people's impressions of SPM was still very negative with some actually preferring Sticker Star over it, even though both has been labeled at "not Paper Mario 3".

In recent years since Color Splash, times definitely have changed with Super Paper Mario being considered part of the classics and I don't really understand. All of the games since SPM have RPGs elements, a companion who travels with Mario throughout the whole story, as well as a gimmick that's very 4th wall breaking. Many excuse Super Paper Mario for not having art gimmicks like Stickers, Paint, or Origami, but the gimmick for this game is part of that "Paper" idea: Digital Art. Nothing takes place in a Pop-Up Book to be counted as "Mario Story" like the first two games. Everything in the world is digitized and even created digitally.

So I still wonder why this game is considered to be classic Paper Mario when it started modern Paper Mario.

Would love an RE6 Remake if they shorten the campaign and combine all of the plots together!

I do enjoy RE6 even if the story is considered to be extremely goofy, buy I do agree that the game was too bloated and I honestly see what Capcom was trying to go for: an RE game that would appeal to everyone and replayablity that makes it the best bang for your buck.

I can imagine this remake would tone down the extreme silliness of the story just like what they have done with RE4R, as well as cutting away the fat from every character's stories to combine all of them into a complete 10-12 hour story. Changing the order of chapters to make the story less confusing as well as shortening both Jake's and Chris' plots to be a good 4-hour long plots in total, Ada's plot being probably an hour long, with Leon's being the most focused.

If they do this, I think RE6 would be in a much better spot with the community than it was before. I belive shortening the length of the game would be a huge improvement depending on which character they decide on shortening the plot. What do you guys think? What other improvements you would lile to see? I should also mention the Inventory UI defeat needs to be changed to more classic.

Is it wrong that I find action horror RE more entertaining?

I grew up with 4 back in 2011 on the Wii so I have a lot of bias to that game, but trying to play many of the others, I find myself being into the action games a lot more. When I got to play 7 as my second game back in 2021, I was bored and got lost, so I stopped playing. This year, I was back into RE and decided to give RE2R a try and I wasn't enjoying the game. Thought it was just too slow, got lost just like 7 and the amount of puzzles I come across, optional or not, I just got bored.

I didn't know what was wrong at that time. Why didn't I like 7 and 2R? Was I like that with 4? So I got a copy of 4 for my Xbox and I was having a lot of fun playing the game again. It put way more time to it than 7 and 2R combined. So I stopped and was like, "Alright, I may be biased because it's my first game, so let's try something else." Gave 3R a try and surprisingly, I was enjoying it a lot. I think it was the pacing of both 4 and 3R was what made me wanna continue to see what's ahead.

I read online and found out that these games are more action horrthan survival, and maybe that's the reason why I couldn't get into 7 and 2R? I have yet to play the other games that are labeled as action horror so I can't quite give an opinion on them but it seems that RE always started as a survival horror genre and many didn't enjoy that at a point they went to a more action focused horror game, but I really enjoyed 4 and 3R a lot. Is that a problem? Is RE a series not for someone like it if I only enjoyed 2 out of 4 games I have played so far?

At least try to criticize Nintendo.

What a poor attempt to try to make Nintendo seem like they're just as bad, if not, worse that the condition every other gaming publishers are facing. But you gotta love Reddit, Twitter, and YouTube. Yap nonsense about Nintendo, get profit out of it. How sad...

Would you care about Dead or Alive if it kept the fanservice, has crossplay, and rollback?

I can't help but think thay DOA is that one fight game franchise most of the FGC works make jokes at. If it isn't Smash or MK, it would be DOA. The word gets around that it's nothing more than a gooner game with the fighting mechanics really aren't that great compared to Tekken or Soulcalibur around those times.

That was then, but nowadays, I am seeing some people show interest in the franchise, but talk about the lack of crossplay and rollback prevents them from giving the games a try and yeah, that's extremely fair. Not having those things in the big '26 is a mind-boggling move from KT.

But the question I always wanted to know is if there will be interest if the next game does feature crossplay, rollback, while keeping the fanservice in check as well as having little amount of costumes to purchase rather than the large amount we see nowadays. I want to say this could help make DOA have a healthy playerbase, but I feel this game would still be labeled as a gooner game and avoided by a lot of the community, but I don't know.

[Long Post] Nin10doland and the Meaning of this Subreddit

Not long ago, a user in this sub posted a video of Landon's (Nin10doland) thoughts on this subreddit from his 2nd channel where he rants about people in the Nintendo community over Toxic Positivity VS Acceptable Negativity. I have seen some comments about him being correct about this subreddit shutting down anyone "rightfully" critiquing Nintendo and to that, I really want to take a look at the video myself to see what he is on about.

Starting off immediately, he rants about people calling him out for his Nintendo Directs Are Not For Me Anymore and It's Okay video. He keeps stating that it's his opinion, but the biggest issue about that claim is that it seems like he's expecting people to just only reading the title of his video and comment positively about it, when in the video, he stated that 80% of the recent Nintendo Direct are all third party games and that's considered to be a problem to him as he also states that Nintendo fans watches a Nintendo Direct to see Nintendo games. Then states that most Nintendo fans own other consoles so there's no need to show off old games. My issue with this is that there's no way he could prove that most Nintendo fans own other systems and the Wii U suffered heavily from the lack of third-party support, so it makes sense why a great amount of Nintendo fans are happy with the Direct. He's just upset that he didn't get what he wanted; a plethora of Nintendo games.

The second point he makes is about this subreddit. He claims that all we ever do is post videos about someone making a false statement about Nintendo and label them as being "slightly negative", making it means that he did not take the time to watch these videos nor did he took the time to understand that most of the thumbnails are AI-generated, which is more concerning. What he doesn't understand is that the people that gets posted here ARE what he rants about; those who are spreading toxic negativity. He knows that there are grifters out there that are misinforming about Nintendo, but he doesn't bother to hear these guys out first and point out what they're wrong about like what most of the comments from the posts are doing. Yes, there are users who are saying, "They're right" or "They're just giving fair criticism" are downvoted because just like Landon, they do not take the time to watch these guys and only go with their title, just like they do with Landon's videos.

Final point is him getting upset that a user made this post: "Nin10doland Wants Splatoon to be Mario". My issue with this is that his recent video from his 2nd channel, he was very vague about why he didn't like what he saw from Splatoon Raiders then asked what that post is even talking about. When I actually check the "Nintendo Just Broke My Heart..." video out, right at 2:14, he literally said "There's no platforming, there's no levels to complete or anything..." Even right at 3:04, "...or play through a level where you have to platform or do challenges in order to get to the end." 5:56, "Man, can we get a big Hero Mode, single player, platforming, action-adventure game?" My guy, these are the reasons why that post was made and why the comments in your video was criticizing you for; you can't stop talking about wanting a platformer. It's no wonder why some people are calling you a grifter because you're complaining over a game that wasn't meant to be, and now you're making all of these speculations about the Ocarina of Time remake having more content or knowing what the gameplay will look like but then try to twist it around by saying Nintendo games nowadays lack quality because you wanted more content, which is fair to want more, but wrong to reason why you think these games lack quality.

My issue with Landon is that he gets upset over those who are critiquing his videos and callomg those people as toxic positivity when that isn't the case at all. He says stuff like not expecting 3D Mario, Directs not being for him anymore, or have said multiple times that he should stay away from social media, but he then comes back to still talk about 3D Mario, talk about how he miss Directs from the Switch 1 era, seeing some negative comment about him or the community on Twitter then makes a rant video about it. This is why I can't take what he says about all of this stuff seriously anymore. He comes off as being a hypocrite, a man child who doesn't get what he wanted, then blames the community for his so-called "opinion" when it's constant whining and doom-posting about Nintendo and the community.

Overall, this is the r/nintendogrifting subreddit where we point out and criticize Nintendo grifters or anyone who are misinforming about Nintendo as if they know what goes on over at the company. Nin10doland, while not entirely a grifter, does fall into the trap of thinking he knows Nintendo's strategy of revealing games as well thinking what a Nintendo game should have in terms of quality, according to him. If it's a Nintendo game that he doesn't care for, he gets pissed off and says that Nintendo isn't doing well, that there's no big first party games; even showing that he really does not care for third party games. Then gets upset at those who are questioning his attitude about all of this news or those telling him that all he wants is 3D Mario, which the truer it gets because he can't stop bringing it up and keeps acknowledging the old video he made. HOWEVER, I do believe that he genuinely cares about Nintendo. When he sees a Nintendo game that he likes, he will make videos talking about them being excided over them.

The focus on puzzles is making me dislike DC1.

This game's story and gameplay is pretty good, although a little bullet sponge-y on the dinosaurs themselves, but my god, the pacing of the game is HAMMERED with so many freaking puzzles that I don't understand the reasoning for this. I know puzzles are a RE staple and this game takes heavy inspiration from that franchise, but Jesus Christ, these puzzles are making me go insane. The fact that about over half of the doors in the facility are locked and are needed the right key cards and DDKs along with having to solve the codes or input code numbers just drives me up the wall.

And throughout most of my playthrough, I'm asking myself, "Where's the dinos?!" I legit was waiting for the raptors to jump out of nowhere, getting into rooms, or anything to scare the plauer, but they seem to almost always be around hallways and I am not a fan. But I feel that most of it had to do with the heavy amount of puzzles that just slows the pacing down REALLY badly.

I get that the Ibis Island Research Facility is supposed to be well guarded and top secret but god damn. The game doesn't give you time to breath from all of these things you have to remember, write down, and all that jazz. Might be a no from me dude.

I hate that these games are just too slow for me to enjoy.

I loke a good zombie shooter, and I have been warned many times that Resident Evil isn't that kind of game for me, but I wanted to at least give the franchose a try and I was recommended to give RE2R and 7 a try. To put it short, I didn't enjoy how slow paced both these games are.

And I get it, they're survival horrors; that's the point, but it's such a shame that I'm missing out on good stories but looking st some of the cutscense, thr characters and plot all interest me so much that I can't watch anymore because I really wanna experience it. However, I just can't get used to the slow paced gunplay and the amount of puzzles everywhere, having to backtrack and everything. I love a good puzzle, but I feel RE does it a little took much for me to enjoy because I have to backtrack so much. As for gunplay, I'm too used to go guns blazing in other shooters, but RE, again, isn't that kind of game, but I really wish it was. Having to use my ammo responsibly, mainly just aiming for head just feels tedious for me that I can't gelp but waste bullets.

Overall, this is a me problem and a franchise that isn't for me. It's just that I hate being so interest in the world of RE that I find myself trying to give these games another chance but couldn't. How does someone lile me who is very trigger happy and linear gameplay enjoy Resident Evil?

Anyone still getting the new game despite all of the genAI talk?

GenAI sucks, don't get me wrong, but I really like Crazy Taxi and this new one looks really good that I do wanna purchase it and have fun. Just that all of this genAI talk about the game have made someone like me, feel like if I do get it, those who are super against AI are gonna get on to me and I dunno if that's just something I have to deal with or does it really make me that bad of a person to "support" AI.

For me, I could care less about them use of it. I just don't think that's gonna go away. They used it and that's that. What really decides it for me is the price. If it's priced anywhere about $30 or $40, I'm waiting for a sale. Crazy Taxi is not a game they should sell at full price.

Sorry not sorry.

I love COD in general, but man, as an old COD head, it's very annoying people around my age are acting like they know better on what COD is supposed be. I grew up with this series and I ain't stopping. MW4 looks fun and I'm ready for more info!

I hate having to use this meme, but every argument on the internet IS basically this!
