Made my way out to the bitteroots

Hiked from Elk Summit trying to get to Issac Lake, was blocked by a fell tree and had to turn back. If anyone has hiked out this way let me know! Its hard to know if there's a good spot to camp there. I posted a few 360 photos that will populate google street view soon

Anyways, anyone know what these white flowers are?

Great show in Spokane!

So happy I was able to see them! They never play around this area so I was super jazzed when they announced the show! I hope they come back soon.

Their opener Yasmin was also incredible, super skilled and the way she played was super unique!

Didn't get the best pictures, I was trying to keep myself in the mommemt lol

Potentially life threatening issue

When my v6 automatic accelerates quickly after being stopped, often times my car will abruptly shift into neutral. This has happened when im in highways, which has given me several close calls.

Ive been thinking maybe its the shifter linkage cable, but thats all I can come up with. I changed the trans fluid and the shifter bushings, but no dice.

Anyone have any idea whats wrong and how to fix it? Otherwise ill probably take this into a shop because eventually if I dont solve this its going to get me T-boned.

Replaced the factory timing belt after 227k

I basically STRUGGLED for a week and a half to change the timing belt on my truck. Most parts were seized, some snapped, some I had to replace. I literally had to plan my life around this vehicle I couldnt drive and it was NOT fun. Obstacle after Obstacle until finally it was done.

Whoever the previous owner was liked the lift, shocks and asthetics, but didnt give a damn about maintaining the poor thing. Ive picked up the previous owner's slack though.

I pray for many miles to come!

Edit: also changed: water pump accessory belts, compressor, tensioner, idler pulley, and probably a few other things im forgetting.

Sheared the power steering tensioner bolt, please help!

The bolt is firmly seized. Ive tried a torch, ive tried soaking it in PB blaster, and nothing. The issue is I cannot find a single replacement online compatible woth the 2004 v6 tacoma I have. If anyone has any suggestions or a place where I can buy a replacement buckle and adjust bolt, please let me know!

I just finished working on my timing belt and its so frustrating to have to wait to use my car because of this!

Dash trim kits?

Hey yall,

Ive had my tacoma for a bit now and im pretty confident ill have it for many many years. That being said, i would love to spruce up the interior a little bit.

Has anyone had any success with dash trim kits? I had a hard time finding anyone online posting pictures of trim kits with the first gens, so if anyone has had any luck, id love to hear what kits worked for you, and some pictures if youve got them.

Thanks!

Tensioner Allen-head stuck 2004 toyota tacoma

Hey yall, im in the middle of changing my timing belt, and I need to get this part of the tensioner off. Its an Allan head (the No. 1 idler / tensioner pulley bolt), however it just wont move. Ive used a torch, PB blaster, a breaker bar, and an electric impact wrench. Any advice? Its possible this is because its never been removed.

Well that was close.

Lesson learned: always double check your torque wrench before you begin. Mine was all screwed up. Managed to back it out with a vice thank the mechanic gods.

This is the first time ive spotted one in the wild, theyre everywhere bor

The tip off was that you cant "on a serious note" this one. 3900 elo is an absurdly high number nobody had and the bot doesnt seem to understand that.
