Custdoes 2k without Grav tank?

So I am wanting to run my custodes at 2k but don't currently have the grav tank. I also don't have a custodes land raider. Given I don't have either of these, I get a distinct feeling of lacking any real anti armour? I know we get lethals or sustained in our army rule but its only for melee and still seems to lack the punch of a dedicated anti tank.

Has anyone else ran a list without these two tanks? If so, how do you navigate the lack of dedication Anti-armour

Hot take: The last battle is one of my favourite bosses of all time

Just the whole thing.

First, a standard battle against ultima. He uses a bunch of some of the strongest ff attacks (Holy, meteor, flare, Ultima etc). Then, we get our final eikon battle with a brilliant backdrop as ifrit risen. Perhaps not the most spectacular of the eikon battles, but still hella cool. Then, we are back to fighting Ultima, where he uses all of the eikons against us, and we beat him in a 1v1 clash with each, with the voices of each of Clive's allies cheering him on. Then, the final push against his limit break, where he tries to use the phoenix against clive and fails. Then we have one last stand which has the awesome detail of Ultima failing to cast his spell. The final KO is also peak, clive has beaten ultima so bad that we don't even need a button mash for the sword throw, finished off by your damage cap punch. The music throughout is spectacular and the visuals are great

I dont know if its just me, but even years later this is still one of the most memorable and enjoyable final bosses to me. Maybe not the most mechanically intense or anything but it just makes you feel awesome

Was it a mistake to build my 10 custodian guard with blade/misericordia and shield?

So I have a bunch of custdoes from awhile ago that I'm finally organising into a real force since I am way more into 40k than I was when I first got them. I built my 10 guard with swords and shields, and one banner/shield/misericordia per 5. I did it cause it looked cool, but now looking at the datasheets I am thinking I probably made the wrong decision? Its weird because I assumed the guard were supposed to be the tankier ones while the wardens were the damage dealers but their abilities seem to suggest opposites?

Did I mess up, and am I stuck with the bulk of my army being bad?

Is it possible for a necron to be cured of the destroyer virus, or experience bursts of lucidity

So I was wondering, while the vast majority of destroyer virus necrons are completely far gone, is it possible that a necron can recover or experience bouts of lucidity? I wanted to make a custom version of Ammentar for my dynasty, and had the idea of a destroyer necron who periodically regains parts of his sanity. Is this a thing in the lore?

Also, is it possible a necron can temporarily succumb to the destroyer virus but regain composure?

Is it possible to have a necron dynasty where members actually have positive feelings towards eachother?

So generally, it seems a lot of necron society is infighting and political backstabbing. I was wondering, for my own dynasty, is it possible to have a bit more respect amongst them? For example, I like the idea that my Phaerek was a proud warrior and thus at least respects the warriors who fight with her. And that the other nobles and Crypteks within the dynasty don't completely hate eachother and instead have something akin to friendship.

Im new to necrons, so not sure how realistic that is

Is there a use for the tachnomancer without wraiths?

So I am getting a technomancer with the hierotek circle (using to make deathmarks as well), but I currently don't have any wraiths. Is he still worth running with anything else? His fnp is useful but his other ability feels a bit more tailored to wraiths.

Is he still worth using?

Edit: Apologies for typo in title

Do you think its worth picking up the codex?

So I'm really just starting out with my necrons, im getting the battleforce in a couple months and I've been picking up some odd bits in the meantime to start growing a playable army. However, given how 10-11th codexes are working, I'm not sure if its worth picking up the current one. I use the 40k app for all my rules as I don't really get on with new recruit that much (and I also already pay for warhammer+ so don't really want to also pay for new recruit).

Is it worth picking up the 10th codex, or do you think its likely we get our new one in the next 6 months

How do 20 warrior blocks play now?

So im starting out necrons with the new big battleforce box, which comes with a nice start of 20 warriors. However given how cover works now, with every model in a squad needing to be obscured/partially obscured to actually benefit from cover, how do 20 mans play? Is it better to run 10 mans now or are 20 blocks still the play, just forgoing cover and hoping something like Orikans 4++ invuln does its job.

Also, is it worth investing in more warriors right now? I'll have 20 warriors and a 10 block of immortals, so I was wondering if it was actually worth getting more warriors yet or if that will suffice as a battleline core for now

Stab in the dark question about Guild wars

So I recently tried Guild wars reforged on my redmagic 10 pro, and I have encountered a bizarre issue. Tried mapping the triggers to touch parts on the screen, as usual with most games, and it normally works fine. But for some reason no matter where I assign the triggers on Guild wars reforged, it always opens the inventory. I have absolutely no idea why this is, as it doesnt do anything like this on any other game I play or use the touch triggers for, so I was wondering if anyone else had encountered this and perhaps found the issue

Im sure this has been asked a million times but, anyone know a good mmo for mobile?

I recently got a redmagic 10 pro which has a bit more power behind it for some gaming (plus assignable triggers etc that are quite good for some games). I enjoy playing ff14, but the global release for that on mobile seems aeons away with very little news so I was looking for something else.

Anyone got some good suggestions?

Potential spam/scam accounts with 0 mutuals, but not saying anything?

So the other day I got a random friend request, 0 mutuals. Ignored it, figured it would be something fake or bot related. I got a second one today, basically the same generic-y sounding bio. Added it and messaged to try and see if anything would happen but it's completely silent, which is unexpected as I expected some kind of attempt to spam or advertise. Anyone else have this/understand whats going on?

Random friend request, 0 mutuals?

Hey,

I got a random friend request the other day with 0 mutual friends or servers. I declined it, but naturally this really confused me. Has anyone else had this happen, and if so why/how does it happen?

Recieved a 2fa text when I didnt request one?

Hi,

So today I received an ebay 2fa security code text without requesting one. Does this mean my password is compromised? I've changed my password and it doesn't seem anyone has gotten into my account, but still.

Has anyone else had this happen?

How safe is it to get a phone from a chinese based company like Huawei or ZTE?

So I was very interested in getting a redmagic phone because for my purposes its cheap and good specs. But I was slightly concerned about the privacy and safety ramifications.

Is it overblown, or are there genuine privacy risks to using these devices?

How is the new cover system going to affect necrons?

So given necrons, more than most, tend to rely on running big horde blobsbl to maximise buffs and get the most out of reanimation protocols, how will the new system of cover impact them? The big change will be the fact that all models have to be obsvured or partially obscured to gain cover, as now it will be very difficult for a unit such a a 20 warrior brick to get cover effecively, and even 10 man blocks will struggle if you use a lot of them?

How do you think necrons will play around this new limitation?

Can a necron (particularly a high ranking one) change the color of their "glow"?

Title basically. If a necron overlord or other sentinent necron leader wanted to for whatever reason, would they be capable of changing the color of their energy?

Thanks

How to theme an army around the silent king/szarekhan dynasty?

Sorry for the second post today about starting a new necron army.

I really want to theme my necrons around the silent king because he's the coolest part of necrons imo.

What would be the best way to theme an army around him? The only model I know for a fact who doesnt really fit well is Imotek, but I had the idea to just make my own "named" necron using his datasheet.

Any other advice would be appreciated

Starting a new army, what else should I look into getting?

So with the advent of 11th edition, I am planning to start another army and have settled on necrons. So far my plans to start are to get a combat patrol, the silent king and a doomsday arc. What else should I consider getting to build up my force?

Huge potential in the new faction pack

So I was looking through the faction pack, and kost of it is pretty standard. One thing did catch my attention however, and im praying its jot a mistake.

Under the grimnars mark enhancement for the term captain in great wolf... it has removed the part about "in the declare battle formations step, this mofel can be attached to a wolfguard terminator unit".

This could mean that they are finally dropping some of the weird restrictions we have and let us actual mix our units and leaders with codex marines. If that is the case, this could be absolutely huge for us anf fix one of the main complains we have had

Edit: The only problem would be having genetic leaders etc would nullify out extra movement a bit. Could be nice to upgrade the units live characteristic to match, maybe at a small points premium

If we lose oath of moment, genuinly how are we supposed to kill things?

With rumours of oath being replaced by doctrines, it has reallt highlighted that the wolves datasheet design wise are absolutely dire. We are faction wide stuck to s4 and 5. With oath, we at the very least had the potentially to fish for lethal hits with most of our (good) detachments offering somw form of lethal hits.

If oath is replaced with doctrines, we get a little better at movement stuff but lose a huge chunk of our damage dealing potential which was already lacking. I unfortunately feel like it could push us even further down than we already are, making our units incapable of killing things without heavy investment in core codex units.

What do you guys think?
