Best Msc finance unis to target for wealth management

Im going to do a undergrad degree in business with finance at a non target uni like University of Birmingham. I want to break into wealth management which is the best uni to do a MSc finance and are there different tiers. Ideally for zurich or london wm.

I know bocconi, lse and st gallen are very strong options. What are some other under rated options that place well and are good back up options in case I cant get into these 3? Is ie and Esade Msc finance decent?

Also what should I do to ensure I can maximize my chances for msc finance applications. Other than a first class honors, any certain ECAs or internships that can maximize my chances.

I would love to hear any feedback or advice regarding this matter.

Skills necessary to maximize success in wealth management

What are some important skills to focus on in wealth management.

I have around 3 months before I start my bachelors in business with finance and if there any skills that you feel are important or that can give me an edge Im willing to utilize a portion of the 3 months to improving these skills. Any certain certifications or education courses to complete?

Thanks for any advice?

Birmingham or Nova sbe.

Which uni is better for finance I have offers for a bachelor in management from nova and a bachelor of business with finance from UOB.

I don’t think I will reach higher than a B1 in Portuguese so Im not sure If I will be able to take advantage of the internship opportunities in portugal.

University of Birmingham has a campus in dubai which I think is a good option because I will have free accommodation as my parents live there and Dubai’s wealth management is growing which is the area Im trying to break into.

If anyone has any advice especially if they have work in wm in the MENA region it would be highly appreciated.

Also in general is nova sbe known internationally for corporate finance or general business jobs. How is its reputation outside of Portugal.

Wealth management hours

How many hours a week do wealth management professionals work. Do the big firms work a lot more compared to the smaller firms. What is the average from any of your guys experiences or what you have heard. I saw online it is around 40-55 hours but I wasn’t sure whether that depends on the firm and if in stressful weeks how much it can reach.

Birmingham or Herriot watt

Hi I know both Uni’s aren’t target however my high school grades weren’t the best so I wanted to ask is going to Birmingham with an integrated foundation year for business with finance better than doing a 3 year course at Herriot watt for business and finance as I entered into 2nd year direct. I am aiming for wealth management at a big firm and planning to do a MSc finance at a better uni like bocconi or Warwick or Esade to compensate for my undergrad reputation. Is it worth the extra year and cost as it will cost an extra 30k pounds. Birmingham is a Russel group and triple accredited compared to Herriot watt. Im not sure but isn’t undergrad name also important for MSc finance due to how competitive seats are. ie, a first from birmingham isn’t the same as from Herriot watt.
