Also have anybody use the Harmony bar as a replacement for W5's harano & hauglosk bars and did that improve you're experience?

Is it viable to back port V6 Humanity system to W5 as a replacement to the harano & hauglosk bars

Not much more to it than the title states which is would V6 Humanity be a suitable replacement for the current harano/hauglosk bars alongside other V6 maniacs would you like to back port to W5.

Like say clan specific Beasts be repented as tribe specific Hauglosk, or maybe a free tribal gifts on character creation like how the V6 hands out free disciplines.

Do you buy into that Neolithic Revolution nonsense or do you live the natural hunter gatherer life

Context: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neolithic_Revolution

The Neolithic Revolution, also known as the First Agricultural Revolution, was the wide-scale transition of many human cultures during the Neolithic period in Afro-Eurasia from a lifestyle of hunting and gathering to one of agriculture and settlement, making an increasingly large population possible.^([1]) These settled communities permitted humans to observe and experiment with plants, learning how they grew and developed.^([2]) This new knowledge led to the domestication of plants into crops.^([2])^([3])

Archaeological data indicate that the domestication of various types of plants and animals happened in separate locations worldwide, starting in the geological epoch of the Holocene 11,700 years ago, after the end of the last Ice Age.^([4]) It was humankind's first historically verifiable transition to agriculture. The Neolithic Revolution greatly narrowed the diversity of foods available, resulting in a decrease in the quality of human nutrition compared with that obtained previously from hunting and foraging.^([5])^([6])^([7]) However, because food production became more efficient, it released humans to invest their efforts in other activities and was thus "ultimately necessary to the rise of modern civilization by creating the foundation for the later process of industrialization and sustained economic growth".^([8])

Prehistoric hunter-gatherers had different subsistence requirements and lifestyles from agriculturalists. Hunter-gatherers were often highly mobile and migratory, living in temporary shelters and in small tribal groups, and having limited contact with outsiders. Their diet was well-balanced^([)^(citation needed)^(]) though heavily dependent on what the environment could provide each season. In contrast, because the surplus and plannable supply of food provided by agriculture made it possible to support larger population groups, agriculturalists lived in more permanent dwellings in more densely populated settlements than what could be supported by a hunter-gatherer lifestyle. The agricultural communities' seasonal need to plan and coordinate resource and manpower encouraged division of labour, which gradually led to specialization of labourers and complex societies. The subsequent development of trading networks to exchange surplus commodities and services brought agriculturalists into contact with outside groups, which promoted cultural exchanges that led to the rise of civilizations and technological evolutions.^([15])^([)^(full citation needed)^(])

However, higher population and food abundance did not necessarily correlate with improved health. Reliance on a very limited variety of staple crops can adversely affect health even while making it possible to feed more people. As an example from the Americas, maize is deficient in certain essential amino acids (lysine and tryptophan) and is a poor source of iron. The phytic acid it contains may inhibit nutrient absorption. Other factors that likely affected the health of early agriculturalists and their domesticated livestock would have been increased numbers of parasites and disease-bearing pests associated with human waste and contaminated food and water supplies. Fertilizers and irrigation may have increased crop yields but also would have promoted proliferation of insects and bacteria in the local environment while grain storage attracted additional insects and rodents.^([15])

The Neolithic Revolution involved much more than the adoption of a limited set of food-producing techniques. During the next millennia, it transformed the small and mobile groups of hunter-gatherers that had hitherto dominated human prehistory into sedentary (non-nomadic) societies based in built-up villages and towns. These societies radically modified their natural environment by means of specialized food-crop cultivation, with activities such as irrigation and deforestation which allowed the production of surplus food. Other developments that are found very widely during this era are the domestication of animals, pottery, polished stone tools, and rectangular houses. In many regions, the adoption of agriculture by prehistoric societies caused episodes of rapid population growth, a phenomenon known as the Neolithic demographic transition.

These developments, sometimes called the Neolithic package,^([9]) provided the basis for centralized administrations and political structures, hierarchical ideologies,^([10]) depersonalized systems of knowledge (e.g. writing), densely populated settlements, specialization and division of labour, more trade, the development of non-portable art and architecture, and greater property ownership.^([11]) The earliest known civilization developed in Sumer in southern Mesopotamia (c. 6,500 BP); its emergence also heralded the beginning of the Bronze Age.^([12])

The relationship of the aforementioned Neolithic characteristics to the onset of agriculture, their sequence of emergence, and their empirical relation to each other at various Neolithic sites remains the subject of academic debate. It is usually understood to vary from place to place, rather than being the outcome of universal laws of social evolution.^([13])^([14])

Hey at least the SI is playable now so small blessing /S

Would be funny if the cause was mostly mundane with little to with vienna and the kindred just got the lucky break of a century.

Also the SI PC party have a shared stat called Funding. When it goes to zero The cell is disbanded and the game ends.

So how viable is back porting V6 maniacs to 5E games?

So V6 pre-alpha play-test recently released to uh strong reactions to say the least.

Now moving repeating the same criticisms leveled at the hundreds of time I wonder if anyone actually think about adjusting and back-porting some maniacs from the play test to a 5e games.

Like a prime example would be copying the Forsaken style humanity bar could replace the current harano/Hauglosk bars and clan exclusive rage could open the path to tribe exclusive Hauglosk which was intended for a past version of W5 (an example from J. F. Sambrano's patron would be the glass walkers going full techbro and imposing weaver on the world to stop the wyld who they believe is worse than the wyrm).

Do you guys the concept of adapting the current 6E maniacs to 5E game-lines? Or if it's viable in the first place?

Playtest document is find here

Well at least we can't accuse White Wolf of Ripping off D&D... (No offense to LANCER)

Before you ask This is pure Shitpost and probably not what Parawolf would do because too good of a idea.

Think about it, The a player garou come in five Auspices are the Frame Equivalent that also comes with a super buffed gift to act as the core power.

The garou also be further customized by buying Gifts and Fetishes from the appropriate tribes with renown that now act more like a currency.

And finally like LANCER W6 are totally focused on tactical grid combat balanced around managing Rage which is a Heat Bar that cause temporary frenzy when over filled but has no other narrative consequences, with non combat Role play having vestigial to no maniacal support.

Trust Me, My brother's Cousin works at Parawolf/S

Well that's one way the Get might be playable or at least "interesting"/"FUN" antagonists. Parawolf could do worse like having the silver fangs go full Tick Tock Taboritsky

>!Remain Calm. The Silver Crown Will be Reforged. King Albrecht Lives. The Garou Nation shall endure. Hauglosk is the cowards label for heros.!<

V6 Possible commitment to legacy (or at least a metaplot) and what it means for the other lines.

So from what we know of V6 from the Darkness Emergent preview event is that the writers has a vague focus on a meta-plot that's apparently closer to legacy or at least they actually has at least a rough plan for how the metaplot will advance.

Now let's assume that in the extremely unlikely scenario that White wolf actually mandates "back to legacy" approach for all of 6 the edition of WoD or at least more focus placed on a metaplot. How would that affect all the game lines.

Like V5 is theoretically easiest line to pivot legacy. Just simply end the Beckoning, which in all likely hood means answers to what's causing it in the first place, which would likely be extremely disappointing compared to how it's built up and the fact that it take place in the middle east which is a political mine field on the best of days and currently this isn't the best of days.

Also they make the Sabbat playable again. As a treat.

For H5 I personally think that the sudden emergence of the imbured and the orgs reaction to that would make for a good over arching mystery for game line. Or it could go full Virgil with Cells, Compacts and Conspiracies. Admittedly both approaches aren't necessarily mutually exclusive.

For W5 well that's a mess. Like the game line is proudly a distinct game from the past edition for (arguably little) better or (mostly) worse. Now if Paradox actually force them to revert to legacy then it would cause chaos. The two possibility I could see is White wolf just throw up they hands and say the edition is noncanon and move on or would they tie the little metaplot of the line into a pretzel to try and probably fail to justify the shift into legacy lore and tone.

Of course that's assuming that 6 ed actually moves on from vampire for a verity of reason such as v6 fails spectacularly, Paradox shifting funding away from White wolf or management declares the other too politically toxic to publish.

Or even 6th'ed somehow end up a bigger monkey paw than 6th ed...

Still I guess we'll get some definitive answers this gencon but it doesn't hurt to speculate.
