am I wrong for making white friends easily?

ngl Ive always felt a way abt this trait in me that genuinely makes friends w white ppl so fast, whereas w black people it can be a struggle and im black so I feel like it’s very anti black of me. My parents tried to fix it by putting me in mostly black schools. i’ve tried to fix it by purposefully not having white friends for a while but tbh it’s just kinda hard if that makes sense. It’s not rly about race per se, just I can sense when ppl may or may not certain aspects of me and I get that feeling often from my black peers. unless said black peer is super super nerdy, like myself.

I need help moving

could anyone help me move next Wednesday, starting 10am? I can rent the U-haul and we will meet at my storage unit to load up. It’s only a 4x10 unit and unloading on the first floor of a student townhouse. Between the 2 of us, it shouldn’t take more than an hour to do the whole thing, I just need help 😭 I’ll pay you $$$

I (26F) have lived alone, w roommates and w exes before. idk why this time specifically I am so nervous? i have 3 weeks til my move in date. I am just trying to remind myself, one step at a time, nothing has to be done ASAP and I have time to move my stuff over, breathe, pay bills, work, and still maintain my life outside work. Rn I live w my dad and it’s been overwhelming. I do miss having my own space, Im just.. nervous

manifesting is messy

said it before, I’ll say it again. sometimes to get the things you want and dream of, you have to be willing to let go of everything that isn’t working. I’m in the best stage of my life and I’m still just getting started. but I promise you, almost my entire life had to go to shambles before the abundance came in

any lonely folks want to get together for father’s day?

for those who don’t have a father, were raised by a single mother, or have a strained relationship with their bio father? Usually I celebrate these days alone, but figured I may as well ask and see if anyone wants to hang out, get some food. Im thinking Ichiban for the buffet or Waffle House?

ive never gotten used to being an adult with so much freedom

honestly I would make fun of people when I (26F) for living their lives w less…of a fuck given? idk how to describe it. Like I still don’t always realize I am a full blown adult who can essentially do what they want to do, when the want to do it. I barely had a concept of life beyond 18, I thought I’d be killed or dead by now to be completely honest. Idk what I want? Idk who I want to be, and it doesn’t always occur to me that I can now take steps towards a better future for myself. Or what that future is. Being an adult has always felt really stressful, and overwhelming more than freeing and empowering. idk if that makes sense?

i spent so long “healing” now I don’t know what to do with myself

Idk :( I feel like I spent pretty much my entire early 20s feeling like I needed to heal and process the trauma and pain of my childhood. Like im glad I did, but tbh I was in/out of therapy for like 10 years. I think I fr just felt like I had no idea what to do without the structure of my life being centered around healing. Idk why I didn’t feel like I was ready until now to try to stop doing that. idk what I want out of life. idk what to do w myself. idk

I wish my brother acted like he wanted me around

tbh for as long as I (26F) can remember Ive been doing what i can to understand, support and respect my brother. I only recently started to have boundaries with him, because of his disgusting attitude towards women. I woke up today sad. He’s never really seen me. Or cared to take a real interest in me. I wish I had a brother who showed loved towards me the way I showed it towards him. That can be said for many people in my family, but especially him today. I have been completely erased in my family, and nothing has ever hurt me more in life than this fact.

I’m living temporarily w my dad after a breakup/friendship break down. tbh i haven’t really know what i’m doing with my life or if anything at all I’m doing is right. Im just trying to keep going.

i think I have felt lonely my entire life

lots of details but let’s just say I (26F) have been actively putting in so much more effort to talk to people and I’m realizing how long I’ve been going without feeling basic emotional needs from the people around me. even my depression, looking back I think that’s because I felt extremely lonely in the chaos and traumas I was facing at home. nobody in my family gets me. everyone is loud, chaotic and dramatic. I’ve always felt overstimulated. think I am getting too deep into details. I just hope this isnt my life forever :(

how do you rebuild self esteem after contracting?

I have only had 1 partner after the fact and it’s been almost a year of being celibate. the idea of dating and disclosing makes my skin crawl. I can’t even enjoy flirting anymore the way I used to :( I feel disgusting and I feel so much more insecure about myself than I ever did before. I hate it. I have only had 2 flare ups, and they seem to happen at the same time. Im not planning to date, but I did catch feelings for someone and I couldn’t even really do anything about it bc I am paralyzed by fear and anxiety and it sucks :(

when would you give up your abstinence?

for me 26F, I literally lost all interest in dating/sex after my last breakup w my ex of a couple years. Ive been celibate for almost a year and it’s been great! I’ve been able to take stock of my life, focus on the things I need to focus on. Heal from past trauma and pain. Reclaim my mind and body. It’s been harder to see the point within celibacy lately, as I have always had a high sex drive. Going to the gym makes it more noticeable. And frequent. And more intense lol. In the past, I have gotten more attached than I would have preferred to fwbs/situationships. But lately it’s like all I can do is think about sex lol. I try to get it off my mind during the day, but there are so many attractive men out there. Ive been through a lot in my life up until recently, and I am starting to get to a point where I am able to see a life for myself and want to enjoy the rest of my 20s in happiness and peace. What i’m trying to say is, I miss dating and sex. Im still gonna hold off for the time being until I can move into my own place. But, idk. My plan was to wait until I found a man who is ready to settle down and devote himself to me, and I, him. But I’m feral 😂😂 idk how much longer I can hold out lol

Is there a name for this desire?

I (26F) want to be in a relationship where I serve my bf. I guess that is called being submissive? idk. like if I do something wrong I have this intense desire to make it right, and to fix the issue yes. But also, have sex as a means of expressing sorrow for doing the wrong thing?? Idk if that makes sense? Is that toxic? Like I want to have to do nothing in our relationship besides think about ways to make my bf happy. Esp sexually. A good “come here” type of guy. But idk if where to find them? Is this just submission/dominance. And if so, is it a certain type of dynamic idk about?

I think I got addicted to AI for a year

I (26F) was going through a breakup that was much heavier than I anticipated. I started to use AI to sort out my feelings about my ex, which eventually landed on me and him breaking up. I do think that was still the right choice? Idk. I never felt fully secure in that relationship for whatever reason. We had already moved in together, with his sister and bf. So it was a lot. I was losing a bf and a friend in his sister. I hooked up w some guy a few months later. I got HSV2. I was down bad lol. By this point and up until now, I was using AI daily.

I literally just realized how crazy it is that I use it for so much validation. I think it’s been helpful, but idk if this has really led me in the real right direction? On paper, I went from sharing a 2b 2ba w a bf and a friend to living w my dad, unemployed. But internally, I feel so much happier and at peace. I have better routines w going to the gym, almost finished my degree, I put myself out there more often. But yea idk? I think it’s time to put this down. Im scared. I haven’t gone more than a day w/o this thing in like a year.

Any suggestions?

how can I regain sexual confidence?

tbh I 26Ffeel like things went downhill for me after I lost my virginity to some stranger of a guy. It wasnt a pleasant experience and I don’t think Ive been fully able to emotionally open up ever since and I lost my virginity when I was 18. idk it’s always felt like some kind of block. like I can perform, but still be kinda emotionally unavailable? idk. I have never fully liked it and struggle to know how to fix it?

I never understand how this is a problem? maybe bc I, myself haven’t really felt safe enough in the world TO wear the things I wanna wear, so I tend to dress down. if I had a bf, I’d be excited cause I’d feel like I have more security to wear the stuff I actually wanna wear, but feel too scared of being harassed/assaulted to do so. So why do so many guys hate when their girlfriends wear more revealing clothing?

Edit: I do think I worded my question in an unfair way, I apologize if it comes across as presumptuous.

Edit: so by “skimpy” I mean something like… idk? now that I think of it I can’t put my finger on anything too bad hahaha maybe like a tight/short dress?
