When will we see the next release of the Wicked Compensator
I emailed and was told he'd have the next batch in July, but didn't hear back when I followed up.
Anyone heard anything?

The FNX, the FNP, it's replacing, and the 502 that'll be cheaper to train with (.22 can not pictured).

I now have my grandmother's birth certificate and passport. Do I really need my great grandfather's birth certificate as well? Can I apply with what I have and send it to the BVA later if they tell me I need it? From what I understand, I can start my wait by submitting now, and adding additional documents in the future won't lose my place in the queue.

Pic one is a side by side of the four day old filter and a new, unused filter from the same pack.
Pictures 2 and 3 are front and back of the four day old used filter.
Pictures 4 and 5 are front and back of the vent cover on the return.
Picture 6 is another photo of an unused filter.
Pictures 7 and 8 are of the filter in the return, and what the return duct itself looks like.
A follow up to my previous post ( https://www.reddit.com/r/MontgomeryCountyMD/comments/1vjf0nn/does_my_hvac_filter_look_like_this_due_to_july/ ) where I was led to believe my filter looked like this as a result of wildfire smoke in the area.
This is how the filter looked four days after replacing it.
I'm gonna call my HVAC tech tomorrow, but what should I expect to be told/what sort of repairs and mitigation should I anticipate?
Edit: as I mentioned in a comment below, one of my housemates has burned a single candle for one hour at a time twice since this filter was replaced. This looks like way more soot than that amount of burning should cause. Is mold a likely alternative explanation?
I was very disappointed to learn that of the four mags that came with my new to me FNX 45 Tactical, two of them are Pro Mags.
While I hate the idea of spending $50 (or $55 for FDE) to add two rounds of capacity, I'm willing to do it to turn an unreliable mag into a reliable one.
Granted, I haven't used these magazines yet, but given my experience with other Pro Mags, their reputation for unreliability is deserved.
So, if I'm replacing the base pad and spring, leaving only the mag body and follower as Pro Mag components, am I going to have a more reliable magazine? I expect so.
Is it just putting lipstick on a pig?
I'm looking for the text of the actual regulation regarding conversion of 11+ round magazine to 10 round magazines.
Edit: United Gun Shop insisted the magazines needed permanent alteration (first time I've had someone tell me that), AND wanted to charge me $20 to do it on a gun I was transferring through them.
The manual didn't clarify anything for me when I checked. It comes with plates for Docter and Trijicon footprints, but are there any direct mount options?
The mag on the left in the first three pictures IS an HK45 magazine, but the one on the right is one of two I bought on Gunbroker that were both advertised as HK45, but do not fit it and is noticeably wider.
Is it a USP45 magazine? They both have witness holes for ten rounds, are marked .45, and besides that only have "patent pending" and "US Pat 5 568 696" marked on them.
I don't have a USP yet, but I guess now I have a reason to get one sooner (except I don't want 10 rounders for them) 😅.
Naturally, OEM HK is the answer for best magazines, but how do the MKE/KCI/etc magazines stack up?
Magpul makes a 50 round drum, and while I'll probably pick one up if it's any good, I'm more interested in decent 30 round mags.
Short of spending $80-100 per HK mag, which magazines have acceptable reliability for general range use?
I've been out of town, and it's been a couple months since I last changed my filter (the Nest reminders were turned off for some reason after having that alert enabled for years 😡).
Anyway, is this grotesquerie the result of recent air quality? Mold? Just the fact that it was unchanged for several months?
I have two HVAC systems in my house, and the other one didn't look half this bad, which has me worried about air quality upstairs where this return is located.
I went to pickup my HK45 Tactical, and they told me about an SP5 that had just been dropped off that morning for consignment. Unfired, with one of every spare part imaginable included. At least $700 worth of extras, all for $3,500. Now to buy a brace and a can. And mags. Lots of mags. Family photo in the shop with the .45.
I'm looking at doing a liveaboard on a catamaran in French Polynesia.
I've been on over half a dozen LOBs, so I'm used to them, but my dive booker advised me that catmarans are cramped, "like camping" (as she put it).
The boat in question only has eight passengers and would definitely be tighter quarters than any LOB I've done before, and I'd be going solo.
I'm curious to hear from others about your experiences with smaller LOBs (catamaran or otherwise), regrets or changes you'd make, things you'd do differently, whether you'd do it again, etc.

Edit: comments have immediately clarified some glaring problems with the idea that I hadn't considered. I fully understand why this is a terrible idea.
TL;DR: just what the title says.
I dive with a Galileo HUD and my old Galileo Luna as a backup, with air integration to both using a single transmitter.
(As an aside, while the HUD is not necessary by any stretch, I love it.)
I don't have a separate SPG because I like having my gear as streamlined as possible (same reason I use an AIR2 instead of a traditional octo).
The transmitter represents a single point of failure, and I'm looking at adding analog redundancy as I consider becoming self reliant diver certified.
I still don't want an SPG hanging off my kit, even if clipped or tucked into my BCD, so I'm looking for what I mentioned above: a low profile analog gauge that I can clip to my regulator, and fold it out of the way unless I need to check it.
To address comments I've seen made before whenever HUDs come up: I'm perfectly capable of using my wrist mounted computer or console mounted gauge to monitor my air, depth, etc, but I absolutely love having that info conveniently within my line of sight whenever I want to see it while keeping my hands free.
My grandmother was German, born in 1930. She married my USGI grandfather in 1955, gave birth to my mother in 1958, and was naturalized as a US citizen in 1961.
According to StAG 5, I'm eligible for German citizenship under section 4, and my mother under section 1.
So far, I have collected the following documents:
- My mother's birth certificate
- My birth certificate
- My grandmother's wedding certificates (from Germany, as well as from the US Army, but I think only the German one is necessary)
- My grandmother's US naturalization certificate (I don't think this would be helpful or necessary)
I have requested my grandmother's birth certificate from a service linked from her birth town's records office.
I know I will need an FBI records check/proof of good character that is less than six months old, so I will request that after I receive her birth certificate.
My mother is searching for my grandmother's German passport, but has so far not found it. Are there other documents that would be helpful if she finds them (would the US naturalization certificate work here?), or would I need her father (my great grandfather's) birth certificate?
I've been told I don't need translations of our birth certificates, is that correct? Does the FBI background check need to be translated?
My local consulate is the embassy in DC, so I would take all my documents to them for review before submission, but I'm trying to be fully prepared before then.
Is there anything I'm missing or forgetting?
Here's the link to the MD handgun roster board.
https://mdsp.maryland.gov/about-us/handgun-roster-board
Can anyone tell me where on that page there's a link to the roster? Because I sure as fuck can never find it, and Googling doesn't pop up a link to it.
Here's the roster that *does* pop up as the second hit on Google, and as far as I can tell it's legit and official, but why in the ever loving fuck isn't there a prominent link to it from the official website?
https://dlslibrary.state.md.us/publications/Exec/MDSP/PS5-405(a)_2024(1).pdf
Incompetence or malice, I don't care which, it pisses me off every time I try and check the roster.
Is anyone else as disquieted by that as I am? Sure, I'm happy I'll get more Subnautica, but this sounds like they're going to try and find ways to implement live service fuckery and milk the series dry.
Are they still waiving the $50 membership if you sign up the day of the match?
Are Flux Raiders authorized for the PCC division, or just "other?"
