Dad fed pizza slice to dogs. they contained onion

Fed the dogs and dad stuck a full pizza slice in both their bowls. I felt i couldn't say anything because he'd brush it off, but was anxious because there was onion on it and i didn't know if that was safe. There were only a couple pieces of onion on each, but now my anxiety is going buck wild after googling. Both are purebred GSD, one is a 8yo female who weighs around 60 pounds, and one is a 6yo male who weighs about 85 pounds. Should i be worried? Or will they be okay?

Flea allergy suggestions for my girl

Hi. I have an 8yo female GSD named Bella. She's west German working line, though I'm not sure if that matters much. She has horrible flea allergies, and anxiety. We keep up with flea meds (we use pet armor+ for large dogs), but sometimes we run out without realizing and she instantly gets fleas. Her skin gets itchy, irritated and flaky, and she chews on it a ton and it causes more irritation, hotspots, and hair loss. I'm trying to get my mom to get Dr Itchy's oatmeal/zinc lotion, but it's on the expensive side and I'm not sure it'll happen. We give her oatmeal baths, and treat her hotspots with chlorhexidine solution (watered down a ton), and it seems to help. Her anxiety makes her scratching/licking/chewing worse, she does it as a stress reliever. Just a few weeks ago she chewed off a huge patch on her tail to the point of bleeding in just two days. I'm worried about her. I love her to death, she was my first dog and my favorite of the two. She's such a sweetheart, I hate seeing her so uncomfortable and having to feel how itchy she is every time I pet her. Her skin is so flaky and her fur is noticeably thin near the base of her tail. Any recommendations for things that may help?

Side note, maybe unrelated, idk: My mom also uses ChatGPT, so I don't fully trust her judgement on everything.

(TW: mentions of porn, suicide) Sibling and their partner joined a "mental health support" server. The moderation is awful, they allow minors to be on the emergency support team, and do nothing when issues arise.

I just found out about it yesterday. Sibling joined a couple days ago, their partner had joined much earlier than them. Not sure exactly. I just joined to briefly poke around and see what's going on. According to sibling, a volunteer was making everyone uncomfortable (talking about "asmr" that was really porn audio) and the mods even when pinged were basically like "idk man what do you want me to do??". Multiple people in the conversation used a server function called topic change and the person didn't listen. My friend (who is sibling's partner) (TW: Suicide) >!witnessed someone commit suicide. I think they saw it on camera, and it was extremely traumatizing. The mods did nothing, sibling said they basically "gave up".!< This server has everyone between 13 and 50+. Most are minors seeking help but I'm worried this system is causing more harm than good. The "emergency responders" are volunteers with no background checks or training and half of them (or more) are also minors. My friend signed up to try and help but is overwhelmed and witnessed that. This seems like a very faulty system, and given the context, a dangerous one. I don't know what to do. I want to report it but don't know where to start.

Wanting to get my curly hair cut and lightened/dyed, I believe friend is sharing misinformation. Advice?

I've been wanting to get my hair done for a while now. I got a "layered cut" a couple years ago, but not the lightening I wanted. The stylist also clearly wasn't familiar with curly hair and cut it so it was less "poofy". I have since learned more about my hair and how to care for and love it, and don't want to have my curls treated like a fault again. The stylist also didn't part my hair very well, and I ended up with uneven curtains. I want above shoulder length hair, and a peek-a-boo style and also same colored bangs, lightened with a sort of strawberry blonde color. My hair is naturally a light brown/dark blonde, and is 3A I think, leaning on 3B in some areas. Currently it's just past shoulder height. My friend is saying "have fun paying 600$", and that professionals use the same box dyes/beaches you get off the shelf in stores. They dyed my sibling's hair, and while it looked great, the hair is still extremely brittle and dead. They had it dyed by the friend Halloween last year, it is still in that state. I don't want that for my hair, and as much as I love my friend and admire them for doing their own hair (I don't have that confidence), I don't want them doing mine. I want to know what to look for in stylists, dyes, and lighteners, and also whether my friend was right, red flags in stylists, really anything. This is fairly new to me and again, last time didn't go well (it was rushed). I had looked it up and got that professionals use different brands and developers, but they seemed so confident. I also included some images. I'm on my laptop, and my phone camera is horrible, so I tried to find images off of google that were as accurate as possible to what I have and what I want. The curly hair image is a bit longer than mine is now, but almost the same color and curl tightness. Mine is just a little lighter. The second image is the color I want for my underside and bangs. The third image is the length I want it, and a similar style, except I would like curtain bangs if possible with my hair type. I'm sorry if this is kind of jumbled or doesn't fit the subreddit. Any and all advice and feedback is welcome.

Found a fox just down the road from my house. I know they can carry parasites and stuff. Any tips on safety?

I was on my way to college and me and mom spotted this little fella just around the bend from the house. I went back later that day with the wagon, a flat shovel, a piece of cardboard and piece of plastic (and ofc gloves). Got it on the the cardboard and used the plastic to get it into the wagon. This is my first big project, and thus far I've been collecting individual bones, not the whole skeleton. I know foxes can carry certain parasites, and want to be safe. Any tips, or should I even be worried?

I'm very excited. My sibling and I will be sharing the project.

I'm writing a story. I need to know how houses on the west cost are built. Where might I venture?

This is the post of a person with ADHD and a hyperfixation. I am currently writing a story. There is one scene that started this rabbit hole, and it's not even related to the layout of the house. However, I am curious now. I need to find a subreddit that houses people who can tell me what stuff about house layout, style, and architecture in the west coast, specifically stuff that is typical of houses there that makes it easier to live in that environment. I don't think I'm making sense. To give an example, I live in the southwest. It's humid here, and gets really hot. Houses are typically built with a door on both sides of the house, and a layout that allows for optimal airflow. This way, you can open both doors and have a breezy draft through the house. Another common feature in screened in porches/patios, since mosquitos rule the land. Over on the east coast, houses are built with the main living spaces on the second floor, and a garage on the first. Often they'll have support beams as well, though that's usually under porches/patios. The supports and bases are deeply rooted into the earth. The reasoning being that we get sniped by hurricanes a lot, and people living in those areas are no stranger to flooding and erosion. In colder areas where it snows a lot, roofs are sometimes built more steeply to avoid the weight of snow damaging them. Wood vs stone, windows (like how here in america are windows open up vs in europe where they open sideways), etc. Where can I ask/post about this?

Is this watermelon safe??

I cut a watermelon at around 11:30PM last night. I then had to feed the dogs and while doing that was told to put it away, and my tired ADHD brain completely forgot. It's now 11:20AM. It's not hot in the house, but it's absolutely not fridge temp. Is this safe to eat???

Does my teacher have to manually grade written/typed answers, or are they auto graded?

Hi. I just started using canvas for the first time. I just finished my first quiz on there. I am 99% certain I got everything correct. I was incredibly busy over the weekend and my teacher switched around the date it was due, so I didn't see it until after it wa closed. She opened it back up for those of us who wanted to try it again or didn't see it. During class today she did a recap on it, asking the questions verbally, so i knew most of the answers going in. I got 90/100 points, each question being worth 10. One of them you had to hand type the answer. Do those get graded automatically or does she have to go in and check it? I double checked the rest of my answers too, so I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do here.

Found this while booting up mom's laptop.

Opened chrome and found this. No idea how long it's been there, it hasn't been use in a hot minute. Alarms immediately started going off in my head and i looked it up and yup, malware. How do i get rid of it? We haven't clicked on any sites, i was very quick about catching it. I need this for school (starting monday) so help is very much appreciated.

Dad made friends with some Eastern Garters! [Watauga county NC]

I already posted the darker one here just a minute ago since i was having trouble identifying it, but thought i may as well include it in this one. My dad was at work when he sent these photos to the family group chat. The darker one stuck around for a bit, and even gave him a lick/sniff! :)

Dad made a friend at work [Watauga county NC]

This little guy came up to my dad and hung out with him while he was working today. Even gave him a little sniff/lick! This was one of two. The second was easily identified by me and my younger herpetology obsessed sibling as an Eastern Garter snake, which I'll include in the comments (so that they're seperated). At first my sibling thought this lil guy was a member of the Nerodia genus (not sure which, they were reading part of the scientific name and never clarified afterwards). Then I thought it was a black rat snake. But black rat snakes have more blocky heads right? That's the only part of this snake that's stumping me. Black rat snakes have longer and more blocky snoots. So i looked up the different species of black rat snakes (eastern and central), but still neither seemed to fit. Then i thought it was maybe a dark garter? It has a very faint pattern and the head shape is right, and it was on my mind since the other one was a garter. But dark garters (which are due to mutations, namely melanism) don't have the same fade on their chin, so it can't be that. Then i thought it was a black racer, but it has ridged scales so it can't be that! I was so sure. The head shape matched the photo i was looking at almost exactly, and i looked at other photos too. But again, the scales. I've also looked at every water snake native to NC four or five times, I've even double checked several of the named species while writing this! I'm probably overthinking this, but it's driving me up a wall. It's probably just an eastern black rat snake, but I'd love to know lol. It could also be the angle? But the tip of the snout is still the wrong shape...This is going to be the end of me lol.

Posted the other garter here: https://www.reddit.com/r/whatsthissnake/s/lFjydEms0B

My late mystery pup. <3

This is Tenko, my late pup. He passed away around this time last year. I just found this subreddit, and thought I might as well post here, just for fun, and out of curiosity.

While he was still with us, we joked he was a "purebred good boy", and speculated on what he could be. My guess was a pitbull mix, because of his facial features. He was definitely some sort of bully mix. My mom thought he was a boxer mix. One of her friends, who used to work as a veterinary assistant I think, said he might be a boxer/beagle based on his dental structure. He has very floppy ears that sort of perked about half way up, a curly tail, and was very stocky around his chest and shoulders. He came up to my knees and weighed about 45-50lbs. He was very muscular, largely because he always had to keep up with teo German Shepherds. They liked to play chase around the yard, and he'd go full speed until they tackled him. Despite being half their height, he was almost as fast as them sometimes.

He was very cuddly and affectionate, and would be content to just sit in my lap and be pet all day if he could. He also loved hugs. When i came home, I'd crouch down, he'd jump up with his paws on my shoulders, and I'd carry him for a bit. He absolutely loved it. He was playful, and got along with our two shepherds. He was also very territorial, over me, food, and toys. Though I believe this was partly because of his background. We got him from a shelter the same day he came in. He was very skittish, and we suspected he was abused(spooked easily, scared of sudden movements, heavy flinching, deathly afraid of the broom at first. He was still uneasy around it but trusted me enough to sweep right by his feet by the time he passed, which was at the age of 3), and then ended up on the streets for a month or two. He was around 4-6 months then.

What do you think he could be?

I have rewritten this post twice, why doesn't reddit auto save and why does it refresh when you leave for literally less than 5 seconds. I left to give it camera access and it was gone. :')

Anywho. Hi!
This is my little old lady Bella. She's 8 years old this month, and we've had her since she was 6mo. I would've taken her sooner, but we live on a 45mph road with no sidewalk, and it's directly connected to a major highway not too far down from the house. I finally found an old gravel road not too far away, and took her down it this morning. She had tons of fun, and sniffed everything in reach.
We got some training in, and she was very good about following the leash and staying close to me. She got some good treats as a reward :)

She has an old injury and started limping a bit more than usual, but i let her keep going since she seemed fine aside from that and was having a ball. I did stick to the grass and dirt next to the gravel after that, and checked to make sure she didn't step on something, and she was very polite and let me hold her paw to do so. We explored around the outside of an abandoned trailer home on the way back, and a couple other spots to let her snuffle around. She was very good and had a grand old time. I'll be adding this to our routine, and rotating with our other male GSD, Jund. Maybe I'll drag my sibling along so we can take both. We could all use it. Plus, it'll help knock off and manage that little bit of excess weight she's built up recently so she can be as healthy and happy as possible. 💜🪻

Found on Pinterest as the title suggests, image sesrched it and found a FB post. So the chances are up there.

Reasons i flag it as AI:
The posture is odd for the camera angle, I've never seen markings like that (specifically the way they blend and how the brown is a different shade and more concentrated in some areas and the black is all over the place), there's no shadow i can see (yes it's cloudy so the lighting is diffused but there would still be SOMETHING), the bushes/trees in the background seem a bit off, the proportions are a bit odd, etc. Need a second opinion.

I've been into horses my whole life and have researched genetics and colorations, breeds, etc. I'm not a professional or expert but i know enough to identify most things about a horse, with exceptions of course but again not an expert or professional. So the horse itself is giving a few flags for me.

A little while ago one of our sniffers disapeared. That was a couple months ago.

Some time recently two camels (undead and normal).

Now, a sniffer, an armadillo, and a ton of rabbits (only one of which was name tagged) have disapeared. The owner of the animals is extremely upset and thinks it was a player. But I don't think so, because i know everyone on the server and none of them are the type to do that. This mass disappearance was today. We checked realms stories and no one was on today other than the one pet owner. There were multiple people on late last night around the time of the ender dragon fight, but again, i know them and none are the type.

Any ideas?
