The Hermit

I'm trying to learn tarot, and I also made some moodboards showing how the cards feel to me. These two are The Hermit and The Hermit Reversed.

Does it feel like this to you as well? Is this an accurate representation of how the card could/should feel?

One thing I hate about family trips unnecessary waking up at 5 am for them to pray, like it wasn't already hard enough to fall asleep in an unfamiliar room

Help me tell my parents I want to take my hijab off

Okay so I'm a 22 y/o female, aka an adult who can the decision to wear the hijab or not. But y'all may know that things usually go different in muslim households.

I'm an exmuslim for a while now and I also started to take my hijab secretly. Most of my friends do know and they are also on my side, but I'm too scared to tell my parents. My mom does know that I want to take it off, but I can see that she is trying to avoid opening up the conversation.

We are going to a family vacation tomorrow, and I wonder if this is either the perfect time to tell them, or the worst possible time. I would have loved to not wear the hijab during the vacation, I have a feeling I will not not enjoying it if I do. Keeping this in me is effecting my mental health in a very bad way so it will surely effect my overall enjoyment of the time I spend there. It making me distant from my family, because of the secrets I have to keep from them and I just feel like I can't be myself around them.

I am recently trying to take care of my hair, which I have never done in my entire life, and wearing the hijab for even 5 minutes ruins my hair, puts all of efforts into trash, and I see why I had never done it before.

I also hate to be perceived as "the girl with the hijab" from an outside perspective. It erases my personality and everything else about me and narrows me down into that one small category, that I do not want to be a part of. It's so ugly and pointless and makes me hates myself, my family, my life.

I am not good at speaking, so I thought I could write a letter and let my mom read it by herself, but I'm just not sure how the timing is for that.

Diy Tarot Cards

Okay, so I have very little tarot knowledge, and I don't know how to read them AT ALL, but I'm a crafty person, and I'd like to diy/draw my own tarot card deck. Would that.. work? Again, Idk much about it yet

Edit: Thanks for all of the responses. It was very helpful! I am researching and learning more about tarot. I am considering maybe making an oracle card deck first. Later, when I learned more about tarot, I could also make a tarot deck :)

How to get over my first wlw heartbreak help🥹

Lesbian awakening, I am deeply in live with them since 3 years although we have never been together and I got rejected a year ago... but they're my best friend and we are getting closer every time we hang out stuff and it does make it harder to move on sometimes, but also being friendlier also helps with moving on and seeing them more like friends? Idk I'm confused. One thing I know for sure is that they don't feel the same way, and there's unfortunately nothing I can do do about it. But it hurts so bad, because I've never loved another person this much and it feels like I won't ever find someone who makes me feel this way...

My parents will be away for a few days, do I need to let them know about my plans during that time? (F/22)

Okay, so this will be kind of a long story. My mom is strict, but not so strict, kind of person. She usually allows me to go out for almost everything, but she, for some reason, has a big issue when it comes to sleepovers.

Both of my parents will be away from home for about 5 days, and I planned to go swimming with my best friend. My mom does like my friend, but again; she always causes problems when I want to sleep over, and both me and my friend are fan of sleepovers especially because we live quite away, and the journey is tiring.

Now, some key information for this story:

▪︎ My parents are very religious (muslim)

▪︎ I myself wear the hijab, but I'm secretly exmuslim, and I already told my mom that I wish to take off the hijab

▪︎ I didn't go swimming in so long, and I hate my full coverage swimming clothes. I'll probably at least not wear the long sleeves layer, maybe not even the head coverage (imagine going to swim, bc it's hot, and u have to layer your SWIMWEAR)

▪︎ The place we will swim at is closer to my friend, so I will probably stay over, because we might be tired after swimming.

I can usually never predict how she's going reach to things. The other day I was wearing short sleeves (the sleeves were almost at my elbows) and she was soo mad, yelled at me, told me to stay home etc, it was bad.

Which is why I have no idea what she will say if I just tell her to let her know; Yea I'll go swimming with x today.

Or if I should just not tell anything and go. I mean they aren't at home anyway, they'll be abroad, what reason is there for me to let her know that. But if she finds out, or if I tell her later she might be angry that I didn't let her know.

And I know, I am old enough for this to technically not be a problem anymore , but it's the biggest problem I have right now. Just in general talking to my parents feels like walking around a minefield. Age usually doesn't matter in brown families unfortunately. Although my family is pretty modern, and my mom wasn't this strict before. She is now just worried that "I'm falling further away from god", that "I'm going the wrong way", that she doesn't me with my choices and they are sad for me and everything they do is for me. Blahblah

TL;DR: I have kinda strict and very religious (muslim) parents and I want to go swimming with my friend and later also sleepover. My mom is fine with me going out, but hates sleepovers. I can never predict her reaction so I don't know if it's a better idea to tell her my plans beforehand, or after they are accomplished.

Wanna be friends?

Heyy, I'm Tomo (22/F/she/her).

I would like to have an online friend to chat with about literally anything, and also maybe have deep talks with.

Let me say this one beforehand; I don't do calls, texting only.

I'm an exmuslim, a lesbian and a supporter of everyone in the LGBTQIA+ community and a radical feminist. I speak English, German and Turkish.

I'm looking for a female/female leaning person to become friends with, who is also either an exmuslim/atheist/antitheist/satanist/exchristian/agnostic.

I'm fine with anyone between the ages of 18 to 26.

I'm into any kinds of music and I'm usually very open for recommendations, I like to discover other people's (especially my friends) interests.

I like anime and manga and other animated shows. Unfortunately recently I don't have a specific show I'm too much into. My favourite anime is attack on titan though. My favourite anime I watched last year was The summer Hikaru Died.

I recently got into reading. I like doing arts and crafts. I'm a graphic designer. I also sew and crotchet.

The most important criteria I have is; be respectful and open-minded. I don't always want to be the first one texting, so I'd like you also put in some effort for the friendship. You can text me anything, normal small talks are boring anyway.

We could either chat on here on reddit, or discord.

Urgent advice please!⚠️

Alright so today my best friend invited me to a ren faire festival, I've never been to one. My mom doesn't let me go, she doesn't like my bestie very much. I have a strict religious family, my bestie is atheist (so am I, but they don't know that) so she doesn't like them very much, bc they influence me blahblah.

The question is: Do I sneak out and go anyway? I'd sleep over at my bestie either way. Also I've never sneaked out before. I'm a 22 y/o female🥹

TL;DR should I sneak out to see my bestie or not?

Update: I ended up going! Tysm to everyone for the comments, it helped a with encouragement

Eggless breakfast ideas please

I live in a non-vegan household, so I I don't always have vegan alternatives unless I shop for it myself. I try to find eggless breakfast ideas online, but I can rarely find any ideas that I like :/

My family is also Turkish, so our breakfast usually look like the example on the photo, aka, multiple things on the table yk?

The other day I did a mushroom dish for breakfast for the whole family bc I was trying something eggless and my mom thought it was unfinished and put eggs in it....

Need advice - Asap⚠️

I(22/F) have been vegetarian since 8 months, and my parents now want me to donate for Eid al-Adha. I don't want to pay for people to kill animals. I'd love to donate to help people in need, so I'm fine with donating differently but not for the murder of innocent individuals.

I'm scared to say this to them because they are already not happy with me not praying and stuff like that, and if I also reject this now, idk how they'll take it. I also don't want my fear to cost a life, I don't know what to do.

They told me I'm old to donate by myself now. (Old enough to donate but not old enough to my own choices.. sure)

What if they're "testing" me to see if I'll actually donate or not, or maybe I'm just overthinking, but either way, I'm scared, and I need advice asap.
