I love the concept and Diana but i played for 6 hours and so far theres only 2 characters and a talking cat. I dont think Idus even classifies as a character. Gameplay is fun but kinda draining for me. I was hoping i would like it more honestly

Honestly i love the story/lore. art style and designs, theme and world of the Souls Trilogy and Elden Ring. I dont think i ever actually liked the combat and gameplay.

The roll is such an stupid mechanic that i cant believe they actually kept that as is for 15 years. Almost every single weapon has the exact same attack animation, they basically made one single one animation chain per weapon type and called it a day, theres only but extremely few exceptions to this (thank you ds3).

The stat system is just a drag that heavily punish experimentation, you are basically required to know before hand what build you want to make. Props to ds3 to at least make the respec accesible somewhat early, but in ER you are locked out of rebirth for a few dozens of hours.

I NEVER liked how leveling up is just a mathematical formula on a screen, its lame and boring as shit. Leveling up per se does not give you anything solid and tangible, its just an abstract gatekeep of equipment you already have.

I unironically had the opposite feeling with Sekiro. Really liked the gameplay but the story, characters and art style was not my cup of tea.

Highly recommend the manga Bokurano by Mohiro Kitoh. One of the most saddest, heart-breaking and thought-provoking pieces of science fiction i have ever read

15 children are tricked by a mysterious man into taking turns piloting Zearth, a giant mecha, to fight against other robots for the fate of their own planet. What they soon come to discover is that the robot uses their own life force as fuel and as soon as the battle is over each Pilot is going to die.

Its a story about the weight of sacrifice, about generational trauma, about compassion and mercy but also cruelty, about the fear of the inevitable, about pain and suffering, about letting yourself be hurt so that someone else doenst have to.

Every single child has to bear the notion that fighting means death, not fighting means the death of everyone they ever cared about including themselves and the unmeasurable cost of fighting with a giant robot in the middle of a populated city.

Jun Ushiro, one of the children, has probably one of the greatest character arc i have ever seen. The author does not skim with the punishment for their characters and Jun, being a HORRIBLE person as he was throughout most of the story, had to suffer and bear a punishment that i cant even explain in words. One of the most harrowing things i have ever seen a child do.

Genuinely a masterpiece of pure science fiction

Tried Sword Heart Shura and it just feels like a different way to speedrun the game.

Elden Vins is well.... Elden vins.

Reforged and Convergence keep the combat largely intact while also adding another thousand thing i dont like

Graceborn doesnt really fit elden ring vibe.

Im struggling to find something i like tbh
